This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

Wer schon einmal hier übernachtet hat, wird das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis des Hotels zweifellos zu schätzen wissen. Wie man es von einem traditionsreichen Luxushotel erwartet, ist die Lage unübertroffen. Die Zimmer sind unglaublich geräumig, und alle Zimmer ab einer bestimmten Etage bieten einen unverbauten Ausblick. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Zhongshan Road, sodass ich bei einem Spaziergang auch den Nanputuo-Tempel erreichen konnte. Da es sich um ein so bekanntes Hotel handelt, lässt es sich leicht beschreiben. Die Zimmer waren makellos gepflegt. Alle Annehmlichkeiten wurden täglich aufgefüllt, und der Reinigungsservice war tadellos. Die Einrichtung war luxuriös, und die Betten waren komfortabel. Das WLAN war nicht optimal, und nur wenige Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sprachen Englisch. Von der Zhonghua City und der Zhongshan Road, die sich direkt gegenüber befindet, ist alles bequem zu erreichen!

Das Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage, die umfassende Ausstattung und das exzellente Frühstück. Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage sind bequem zu erreichen, und eine Ladestation befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Executive Lounge bietet ein angenehmes Ambiente und köstliche Speisen. Der Butler Xiaoxi war äußerst zuvorkommend und half uns, ein ruhiges Zimmer in einem der oberen Stockwerke mit Flussblick zu organisieren, von dem aus wir die Drohnenshow zum Nationalfeiertag auf dem Minjiang-Fluss direkt beobachten konnten. Ein fantastisches Erlebnis.

Februar 2026 🕘 Abreisezeit: 17:00 Uhr (Sonderwünsche werden berücksichtigt) Wir kamen am Vorabend des chinesischen Neujahrsfestes um 21:45 Uhr im Hotel an. Angesichts der späten Stunde und der Feiertage befürchteten wir, dass die Restaurants in der Nähe bereits geschlossen sein könnten. Zu unserer Freude hatten jedoch mehrere kleine Lokale im Umkreis von 50 Metern um das Hotel noch geöffnet, sodass wir ein spätes Abendessen genießen konnten. Ein beruhigender Start in unseren Aufenthalt. Das Hotel besticht durch sein komfortables und einladendes Ambiente. Die Lobby präsentiert sich hell und modern gestaltet, mit warmen Holztönen und sanfter Beleuchtung, die eine ruhige und entspannende Atmosphäre schaffen. Ein geschmackvoller Ausstellungsbereich und gemütliche Sitzecken verbinden auf subtile Weise Funktionalität mit künstlerischem Charme. Das Personal an der Rezeption war professionell und zuvorkommend, und der Check-in verlief trotz der späten Stunde reibungslos und effizient. Wir übernachteten im Premier-Themenzimmer (Japanischer Stil mit Sakura), das zu den absoluten Höhepunkten unserer Reise zählte. Beim Betreten des Zimmers empfing uns ein wunderschön gestaltetes, japanisch inspiriertes Interieur. Warmes Licht, Holzböden und zarte Sakura-Wandbilder (Kirschblüten) schufen ein ruhiges und elegantes Ambiente. Hölzerne Trennwände und dezente Dekorationselemente verliehen dem Raum Raffinesse und eine künstlerische und zugleich beschauliche Atmosphäre – fast wie in einem kleinen Ryokan im Herzen von Xiamen. Das Zimmer war durchdacht gestaltet, geräumig und makellos sauber. Ein besonderes Highlight war der private Balkon, der für frische Luft sorgte. Das Bett war außergewöhnlich bequem und mit strahlend weißer Bettwäsche bezogen. Die Matratze bot hervorragende Unterstützung, und die Kissen waren weich und gleichzeitig stützend – für einen erholsamen Schlaf. Alle wichtigen Toilettenartikel waren reichlich vorhanden, darunter Shampoo, Spülung, Duschgel, Zahnputzset, Hausschuhe und Handtücher. Alles war ordentlich arrangiert und gepflegt, was die Aufmerksamkeit für den Komfort der Gäste widerspiegelte. Das kostenlose Frühstück war eine weitere angenehme Überraschung. Es bot eine gute Auswahl an leckeren Speisen und war somit ein gelungener Start in den Tag. Die Lage ist äußerst günstig, in der Nähe des Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center, und das Einkaufszentrum California Plaza mit seinen zahlreichen Restaurants befindet sich direkt nebenan. Ob Geschäfts- oder Urlaubsreise – das Hotel ist eine ausgezeichnete Wahl. Vor allem aber war der Übernachtungspreis sehr günstig und bot ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, insbesondere angesichts der thematischen Einrichtung, des Balkons, der umfassenden Ausstattung und des inkludierten Frühstücks. Der Aufenthalt hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir würden dieses Zimmer bei unserem nächsten Besuch jederzeit wieder wählen. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolut empfehlenswert!

Die Lage ist in Ordnung, aber die meisten der nahegelegenen Straßen mit ihren Imbissständen sind geschlossen und schlecht besucht. Die Toilette riecht stark nach Abwasser oder dem Abflussrohr aus dem Duschraum. Das Nachbarzimmer ist laut, da die Tür ständig geöffnet und geschlossen wird. Die Schalldämmung ist miserabel und sehr störend. Das Frühstück ist mittelmäßig; es gibt weder warme Suppe noch Nudeln, also ist es praktisch wertlos. Man bekommt nur einen Zimmerschlüssel, vermutlich um Strom zu sparen, was unpraktisch ist; es ist immer dunkel, wenn man das Zimmer betritt. Beim Einchecken wird eine Kaution fällig, und man muss auf die Auscheckzeit achten, wahrscheinlich um die Gebühren leichter abbuchen zu können. Ich verstehe nicht, wie diese Bewertung in Xiamen zustande gekommen ist; das Hotel ist nicht einmal vier Sterne wert.

Abgesehen davon, dass das Zimmer etwas klein und die Schalldämmung schlecht ist, ist es im Grunde ziemlich gut. Unten kann man bequem essen, Lebensmittelgeschäfte und U-Bahn-Stationen besuchen. Insgesamt ist es gut, aber ich habe ein gemütliches Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett gebucht, wie in gezeigt Das Foto. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind im Vergleich wirklich etwas klein. Ich hatte ursprünglich Angst, dass das Zimmer zu klein sein würde, also habe ich mich für ein Lazy-King-Zimmer entschieden, das etwas teurer war als das Yuanqi-Zimmer. Es stellte sich heraus Das Zimmer, das mir gegeben wurde, schien ein Yuanqi-Zimmer zu sein.

Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Metropolo Jinjiang Hotel (Fuzhou Three Lanes and Seven Alleys East Street). Sie erreichen das Hotel, indem Sie die U-Bahn-Station Dongjiekou am Ausgang B nehmen. Nach dem Ausgang biegen Sie links ab und gehen weniger als 50 Meter bis zur Hotellobby. Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen, nur wenige Gehminuten von den berühmten Drei Gassen und Sieben Gassen entfernt. Dadurch ist es äußerst praktisch für Sightseeing, Shopping und um die lokale Kultur und Küche zu erleben. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber, modern und komfortabel, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut schallisoliert. Das Bett war bequem und das Zimmer war mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Der Zimmerservice war während meines gesamten Aufenthalts sehr gut. Die Hotelangestellten waren professionell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein- und Auschecken verliefen reibungslos, und die Mitarbeiter waren stets hilfsbereit und beantworteten gerne Ihre Fragen. Bei meiner Ankunft am 5. Januar 2026 gegen Mittag war eine junge Rezeptionistin im Dienst. Ich erinnere mich, dass ihr Name auf „Na“ endete, und entschuldige mich aufrichtig, dass ich mich nicht an ihren vollständigen Namen erinnern kann. Ich war äußerst beeindruckt von ihrer Professionalität, ihrem Servicebewusstsein und ihrer Freundlichkeit. Ich möchte diese Gelegenheit nutzen, um ihr meinen herzlichen Dank für ihre außergewöhnliche Unterstützung auszusprechen. Am nächsten Morgen ging mein Elektrorasierer kaputt, und ich wusste nicht, wo ich das gleiche Modell kaufen konnte. Sie half mir freundlicherweise, indem sie über die ******* App eine Bestellung aufgab, und der Rasierer wurde innerhalb einer Stunde an die Hotelrezeption geliefert, wodurch mein Problem schnell gelöst wurde. Ich war wirklich beeindruckt von ihrer Initiative und dem außergewöhnlichen Service, den sie bot. Vielen Dank für ihre freundliche Hilfe. Das Frühstück im Restaurant im 4. Stock ist ebenfalls preiswert. Es bietet eine Kombination aus östlichen und westlichen Speisen. Mein einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre, dass die Hotelleitung in naher Zukunft den Teppich im Flur zu den Zimmern austauschen könnte. Der helle Teppichboden ist derzeit sehr schmutzempfindlich und sieht trotz regelmäßiger Reinigung schnell unansehnlich aus. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel mit seiner strategischen Lage, den komfortablen Zimmern und dem zuverlässigen Service ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann das Metropolo Jinjiang Hotel jedem Fuzhou-Besucher wärmstens empfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

The hotel is at a good location but not the hotel cos almost all the didi don’t come in to this alley and not aware of this hotel Hotel is very pretty and room is very nice There’s a free pickup from the train station which is very nice and plus point for the hotel However the staff needs more training in terms of their services and professionalism. Their standard is obviously not at the hotel’s level. When I reach on the first day, the young lady and gentleman that assist us with the check in is nice and friendly. However after that it’s always an older plump lady that is at the front desk during the day and her attitude doesn’t makes me comfortable. I was writing something to pass to her and she keep rush me to be faster and the way she talks makes me feels as if I’m at a market instead of hotel. And also the aunty that manned the laundry area. When I was washing my clothes around 3-4pm, she said I occupied both laundry pod and other ppl can’t wash it. I told her nicely that I will come and take out the cloth on time. I mean there’s so many ppl that leave their clothes in the laundry and dryer pod after clean and dried for hours or overnight. Doesn’t that occupied the pod as well and others cant use it? Then she still continues to nag and said me about using both pod. Once again I told her nicely the same statement. Then she continues again and keep repeating the same thing to me over and over again and I snap back at her only she stop. What’s wrong with her? There’s a saying 给你脸 你还蹬鼻子上脸了？以为我很好欺负吗？Please give more training to both of the staff so they don’t ruined the reputation of your hotel. And there’s a staff that told me to pay for the lost card. I misplaced a card before with other hotel and never been told to pay for it. They just simply void the card. It’s only 10-20 rmb which is not a lot tho but it really ruins my impression for this hotel. I mean this hotel is very pretty and I would love to stay there again if I’m visiting Lonyan again but with this kind of staff around, I will think twice before deciding my stay next time. I stayed Wanda and Fliport Hotel in Lonyan before and the price for these 3 hotels doesn’t difference much but their staff definitely handle customer with more professionalism and better attitude

We stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.
