Wir verbrachten ein paar Nächte in Surabaya für Arbeit, und es war unser erstes Besuch in die Stadt. Das Hotel war sehr komfortabel, mit einem geräumigen Bett, das zwei Erwachsene und meine 7-year-old leicht beherbergt. Das Zimmer selbst war ziemlich geräumig und beinhaltete einen Sofa, der ein schönes Touch für den zusätzlichen Sitzplatz war. Ich habe die Fitnesseinrichtungen gut genutzt, die viele Cardio-Maschinen, Dummkopfs bis zu 20 kg, und eine Kabelmaschine ausreichend für meine Trainingsbedürfnisse. Der Pool war eine anständige Größe und hat sogar einen Babypool. Das Frühstück war angenehm, mit einer guten Auswahl an Nahrungsmitteln und Getränken. Insgesamt war meine Familie glücklich mit unserem Aufenthalt und würde dieses Hotel empfehlen, wenn Sie eine mittelpreisliche Option suchen. Es hatte einfachen Zugang zu Taxidiensten, mehrere Restaurants in der Nähe und war nicht zu weit von der Ciputra Mall.

Staying at Shangri-La Surabaya was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was warm and professional — every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The room was spacious, clean, and elegantly furnished with a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. I especially appreciated the plush bedding and thoughtful amenities. The view from the room was also a plus, offering a peaceful cityscape that felt relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was a highlight — the variety was impressive, from local Indonesian favorites to Western and Asian dishes. The pool area and lush garden surroundings made it easy to forget you were in the middle of a busy city. Location-wise, it's conveniently close to malls, restaurants, and main roads, yet the hotel itself feels like a serene escape. Would definitely recommend Shangri-La Surabaya to anyone looking for a five-star experience with genuine hospitality.

I originally booked one of the renovated rooms and there is a bit of fiasco in the first day when I came back to the room it just reeked of raw sewage, almost like a pipe it exploded, and I immediately called housekeeping who sprayed but said that they would move me to a different suite which is the one in the photos. This is one of the more expensive suites and it’s basic and similar in comparison to the renovated suite. However, renovated suite looks like it was renovated back in 1990s as the other suite was much nicer and more modern Overall, the service was fantastic. The food in the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice. I’ll be at a little quiet and overall it’s a great location if you wanna go out to different sites or if you just wanna cruise the mall or do some quick shopping 

Everything was amazing. Hotel lobby is gorgeous, room was nice. The only sign of improvement I can suggest is a quicker lift time. The lift waiting time, especially during peak periods is slightly longer.

What stood out most was the exceptional service – the team went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with a smile. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The location is perfect, close to everything yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. Overall, it exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality.

Das Hotel ist luxuriös, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und komfortabel. Das Essen ist auch lecker. Nächstes Mal werde ich hier wieder bleiben.

Wir kamen mit einem Baby, 2 Monate und 2 Jahre alt, um 13.30 Uhr an, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass wir bis 15.00 Uhr ein Zimmer bekamen, es hieß, es gäbe noch eine Warteliste, sagte Frau Tirta. Die Situation war auch so, dass sich mein 2-jähriges Kind so lange im Wartezimmer übergeben musste, dass es nicht in den Raum ging, um sich auszuruhen, und schließlich war sofort ein anderer CS-Beamter bereit, die Spuren des Erbrochenen meines Kindes zu beseitigen. Ja, vor meiner Hochzeit war ich hier, wenn ich übernachten wollte, aber dann wurde ich wirklich enttäuscht. Und übrigens, sie bekamen statt einer Badewanne einen Duschraum, wenn die Badewanne wartete, sagte Frau Tirta. vielleicht 1 Stunde später (glaube ich) duuuh

Ich habe dieses Hotel ausgewählt, da es größere Zimmergröße mit billigeren Zimmerpreisen als andere bietet. Rezeptionist sehr hilfreich vor allem während meiner c/in Zeit, als ich gebeten, höherer Stock, Freunde in der Nähe / neben meinem Zimmer & im gleichen Stock (progress als schnell betrachtet). Zimmer ziemlich groß, komfortabel & sauber. Gt verschiedene Auswahl an f & b im Restaurant während meiner Pause. Bellboys sehr hilfreich. Denken Sie daran, Ihren Willkommensgetränk ya....enjoy ~

Wir checkten einen Tag vor dem Erdbeben in Indonesien ein. Eigentlich hatten wir zwei Nächte gebucht, aber aus Sorge vor Nachbeben stornierten wir die zweite Nacht. Die Rezeption hatte uns ausdrücklich mitgeteilt, dass bei einer Stornierung vor 18 Uhr die Hälfte des Zimmerpreises erstattet würde. Doch als wir über Trip.com mit dem Hotel Kontakt aufnahmen, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass keine Rückerstattung möglich sei. Ein unseriöses Hotel! Die Lage ist zwar ganz gut, aber die Hoteleinrichtungen sind veraltet und der Schallschutz ist miserabel. Da es im belebten Viertel Tunjungan liegt, konnte man auch mitten in der Nacht Motorradgeräusche deutlich hören.

Ausstattung: sehr gut, das Hotel ist noch neu, Hygiene: sauber und ordentlich, gute Umgebung, Service: Super gut. Im Vergleich zur heimischen Fünf-Sterne-Welt sehr guter Service. Frühstück: sehr gut, viele Variationen, vvvnsjjsjsk
