Nestled in the lush highlands near Ella, my stay around Ravana Falls was nothing short of breathtaking. The property, often referred to locally as “Ravana Rabge,” perfectly captures the charm and serenity that make this region one of Sri Lanka’s most beloved travel destinations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning architecture and its seamless blend with nature. Built across multiple levels on a hillside, the structure offers panoramic views of rolling green mountains, dense forests, and the distant valley below. The design is both modern and rustic, with warm wooden finishes, open balconies, and large glass windows that allow natural light to flood in throughout the day. Early mornings here feel magical—the soft golden sunlight gently touches the hills, while birdsong creates a peaceful wake-up call. One of the highlights of the property is its beautifully maintained outdoor space. The pool area is particularly inviting, offering a refreshing escape after a day of exploring nearby attractions. Sitting by the pool, surrounded by greenery and fresh mountain air, creates a sense of calm that is hard to find elsewhere. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, encouraging you to relax and fully enjoy the moment. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Each space provides a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, with attention given to both aesthetics and functionality. Waking up to a balcony view of the hills is an experience in itself—perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee while soaking in the scenery. The overall ambiance makes it ideal for couples, solo travelers, or even small groups looking for a peaceful retreat. Another major advantage of staying here is its proximity to key attractions. Ravana Falls is just a short distance away, offering a spectacular natural sight and a refreshing stop for visitors. Additionally, the vibrant town of Ella is easily accessible, where you can explore cafes, local markets, and famous viewpoints like Ella Rock or the Nine Arches Bridge. The service at the property is warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any needs or travel tips. If there’s one thing to note, it would be that the hillside location involves some walking and stairs, which may not be ideal for everyone. Dieses Mal habe ich das perfekteste Hotel in Sri Lanka gehabt, das mehr als fünf Sternen wert ist. Wir reservieren ein Verwaltungshaus, ein großes Bett unten und zwei kleine Betten oben. Die elektrische Fensterschachtel ist fast vollständig aussehend und der Balkon ist zu sehen, wie der Berg von außen ist. Sie können auch drei Brücken und einen Zug übersehen. Die Minibar gab Dutzende von Packungen, die alle kostenlos sind, Sichuan Wasser ist auch kostenlos, Wein und Getränke. Der Pool ist sehr gut und sehr ausgezeichnet, wie ein unbegrenzter Pool. Es ist sicher, dass Sie mit dem Essen wählen, das Essen ist ein fünf-Top-Bestell-Stil, sehr lecker und sehr speziell, ohne Getränke. Das Frühstück hat auch eine sehr spezielle Eiertasche, die sehr schöne Fotos auf dem Weg zum Restaurant machen kann. Die einzige ist, dass es mehr Würmer gibt. Die einzigen beiden Taschen der gesamten Reise sind, die hier gepflastert wurden, wenn sie nachts schlafen.

Wenn man bedenkt, dass dies ein 3-Sterne-Hotel ist, sind die Pluspunkte die großen Zimmer mit Balkon und fantastischer Aussicht (zumindest für uns). Der Pool ist sauber und ziemlich groß, ebenfalls mit fantastischer Aussicht und einem Wasserspiel aus Beton mit Elefantenmotiven!!! Die Lage des Hotels ist auch ziemlich gut – weit genug von anderen Hotels entfernt, um ruhig zu sein, aber nah genug an Ellas Hauptstraße, sodass man sie in 10–15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen oder einem Tuk-Tuk-Fahrer den doppelten Preis von Colombo zahlen kann, um hin und zurück zu kommen. Der große Minuspunkt für uns war, dass das Zimmer nicht täglich gereinigt wurde, obwohl uns beim Einchecken gesagt wurde, dass es gereinigt würde. Und mir wurde als Grund dafür genannt, dass wir unseren Schlüssel nicht abgegeben hätten – was seltsam erscheint, nachdem ich jahrzehntelang in Hotels gewohnt habe und nie dazu aufgefordert wurde oder musste, einen Schlüssel abzugeben, um eine normale tägliche Zimmerreinigung zu bekommen. Die Unterstellung, es sei unsere Schuld, dass wir keinen Schlüssel abgegeben hätten (nicht, dass uns das beim Einchecken gesagt worden wäre), war extrem ärgerlich. Das Essen war ok, aber überteuert, sodass wir woanders gegessen haben (es gab viele Möglichkeiten). Es gab viele Kleinigkeiten in den Zimmern, die man leicht hätte verbessern können – auf jeden Fall keine zerrissenen Badetücher und keine leere TV-Halterung von der Wand (als ob da mal ein Fernseher gehangen hätte, aber jetzt nicht mehr – oder war es nur in unserem Zimmer so, wer weiß). All diese Kleinigkeiten summieren sich zu einem Zimmerpreis, den ich wirklich zu hoch finde – aber wir sind in der Hochsaison hier, also ist das vielleicht einfach der übliche Preis.

Wir hatten 2 Nächte im Hotel Onrock. Es ist ein schönes Hotel und das Personal geht aus ihrem Weg, um Sie komfortabler zu machen. Das Frühstück war gut. Das einzige, was ist, dass das Hotel ziemlich hoch ist und der Spaziergang sehr streng ist. Andererseits war alles gut.

スタッフの方全員とても優しく素晴らしい滞在ができました。 ビュッフェの朝食、夕食をいただきましたが、どれも美味しくスリランカ料理を楽しむことができました。 朝食時にマネージャーの方に声をかけていただきホテルのホスピタリティーよ素晴らしさが伝わってきました。 また利用したいと思います。

This hotel is amazing! We loved it, the only thing to note is that it’s quite a journey from Ella (around 45 mins). I would suggest staying at Ella for 1 night or so and experiencing that, then visiting and unwinding here. The staff, food and room were all fantastic.

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella

Our recent stay at Mandara Rosen Yala was a genuinely pleasant experience. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident, and the staff were consistently helpful, making our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast each morning provided a good start to the day, while the dinner buffet was particularly impressive, offering a fabulous spread that was a highlight of our evenings. The hotel's serene atmosphere allowed us to relax and recharge, which was much appreciated after exploring the local area. We felt welcomed and valued as guests throughout our stay, thanks to the attentive service. If our travels bring us back to Kataragama, Mandara Rosen Yala will certainly be our hotel of choice once more. It's an establishment that promises comfort and excellent dining experiences.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad bij dit hotel. De ligging is top, het ontbijt is goed en de medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk. Enige nadeel is dat het erg gehorig is in het hotel, waardoor je de buren kan horen douchen en je hierdoor vroeg in de ochtend al wakker wordt.

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt mit einem sehr freundlichen Sachen. Salindu ist ein Künstler in der Kochen ich genossen ist Lebensmittel täglich. Hinzufügen der Mann, der immer für mich ist jederzeit . Ich kann dieses Gästehaus in der grünen Natur sehr empfehlen. Vielen Dank für Ihre Pflege.
