The staff were friendly and the actual hotel was quite elegant. The grounds were amazing, and there were plenty of lovely places for photos with colourful flowers. We ate dinner in the hotel and the presentation of the food and the quality was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection. The mushroom risotto wasn't quite as good as it had some crunchy bits of rice in it. It needed about 10 minutes longer on a slow heat, and then it would have been perfect; as it wasn't that hot either. This hotel boasts that it has a spa, swimming pool, and lots of different spa room experiences. Normally, when you use the leisure facilities connected to the hotel that you're staying in, they provide towels free of charge. Not this one. We walked over with our swimwear and room key card to be told that towels were £1 each. We explained that we didn't bring a wallet, money, or a phone to pay with. We asked if they could charge it to our room. They couldn't!! They said that you can use the one in your hotel room or walk back to the hotel reception and they'd give us them. Not helpful at all. Then, we went in to find the two foot spa's didn't work, and when I said it to the leisure centre manager, his reply was ' I know as I reported them last week'. But not a sign on them to say that they weren't working! Overall, the hotel needed a bit of a spruce up; but they made up for it with friendly staff. We paid to play a 9 hole game of golf and the staff in the golf shop was amazing.

Wir hatten einen ausgezeichneten und entspannenden Aufenthalt im Belton Woods Hotel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auf unsere Bedürfnisse achten. Das Essen war vor allem das Frühstück lecker mit viel Auswahl. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir den Pool und die Spa-Anlagen genutzt, die alle sehr sauber waren, der Pool war schön und warm und groß genug, um wenige Länge zu machen, ohne auf die Wege jemandem zu kommen.

Top service, friendly staff who were always helpful. Greenest golf links with plenty of tree cover. Excellent food in the Oak Room restaurant. Brilliant spa with good range of massage and other treatments - outdoor non-heated ”swim pond” and huge indoor/outdoor hot tub. Loved the stay and will definitely go back!
