"Had a great stay on this wonderful private island. Splurge on the Temple Terrace Rooms if it is within your budget. Rooms are small, but that is to be expected as the buildings are from days of old, though nicely restored. Enjoyed our meals and the drinks at the bar. From the moment we arrived at Danesfield House, we were treated extremely well. All of the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us, even carrying our luggage to our room.
Our room had a beautiful view over the river Thames and hotel gardens and the four poster bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and clean and their were plenty of towels and toiletries.
I had booked a treatment in the Spa for my wife and all of the staff were amazing. The Spa itself was very nice, and although the jacuzzi was out of action, this did not spoil the experience at all.
Finally, our breakfast was wonderful. We were greeted and shown to our seats immediately. Our order was taken for our choice of breakfast by a lovely waitress and coffee and toast was brought to us by an absolutely wonderful waiter who had the biggest smile that never left his face the entire time we were in the restaurant. He was extremely polite and just made you smile with his infectious enthusiasm for the ”fabulous filter coffee” and the ”terrific toast” (his words, not mine) that he served us. I just wish I had his name to include with this review as he deserves a special mention.
Overall it was a fantastic experience and the right choice of hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will definitely be coming back.

This hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive  they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager.

GastnutzerIch habe den Pool und die Sauna sehr genossen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Es gab ein paar Dinge, die das Hotel im Stich ließen. 1) Das Zimmer war extrem kalt und die Heizung funktionierte nicht, daher wurde ein tragbarer Heizlüfter bereitgestellt, allerdings ein Ölheizer, der angesichts der Größe des Zimmers nichts nützte. Wir merkten erst, dass er an war, als wir daneben standen. Ich habe rheumatoide Arthritis und die Erkältung machte mir sehr zu schaffen, besonders nach dem Schwimmen. Außerdem gab es auf der Seite, wo das Bett steht, keine Steckdosen, was ich im Jahr 2024 wirklich seltsam fand. Mit einer Behinderung ständig aufstehen zu müssen, um mein Handy und meinen Laptop aufzuladen, war einfach zu viel. Ich möchte dem Hotel noch eine Chance geben, bevor ich sage: Nie wieder. Ich werde also buchen und mir ein anderes Zimmer sichern und sehen, wie es läuft.

Nanalalalala~~~OMG der Ort war nur erstaunlich! Wir werden sicher wiederkommen! Obwohl das Hotel sehr weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt war, d. h. , eine Stunde von der Oxford University, eine halbe Stunde von Bicester, aber 15 Minuten Fahrt von Waitrose, was für uns gut genug war (kühl aber genießen Sie die Weltklasse Rennen Autos umher). Die Einrichtungen waren neu. Das Personal war freundlich ( es fühlte sich stark in der Frühstückssitzung), es gab auch einen eigenen Parkplatz direkt neben der Wohnung. Kostenlos 15 Minuten Stromlast außerhalb der Rezeption. Kostenloser Zugang zum Fitness- und Schwimmbad... alles nur fabulös!

Das Hotel ist insgesamt schön. Das Ding, das ich sehr gern in der Nähe gefallen habe, ist das Aroma - ich denke, sie verwenden dort wirklich schöne professionelle Aromas.
Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig 10/10 für das Zimmer.
Großes Empfangspersonal. Die Leute sind wirklich nett da.
Die für uns abgegebenen waren nicht arbeitende Jacuzzi und ein Gefrierbad.. (sie hatten einen Kocher. leider gebrochen).
Dampfroll war aber erstaunlich heiß.
Guter Aufenthalt im Allgemeinen.
Denken Sie daran, wenn Sie nicht fahren, Sie würden ein bisschen gefangen, um jede zusätzliche Bit für den Abend zu bekommen.

Stayed in a room which barely had a window. It was in the eaves. It was well lit but gave me claustrophobia due to the lack of window. Room did not appear to be the one we booked. The photos looked different. Breakfast ok but no self service

annnaaDas Royal Quarter mit Bilder bestellt. Nachdem ich ankam, fand ich, dass dieses Zimmer nicht mehr so groß ist. Aber es ist schön, dass es auch schön ist. Das Zimmer hat bis zum Abend eine Tafel. Das Badezimmer hat keine Handtücher. Das Zimmer ist oben. Das Hotel ist nichts zu spielen. Es reicht für eine Nacht.
