The hotel staff is very courteous and the food at the hotel is delicious. It's located very close to Lord Pashupatinath temple, hardly 5 minutes walking distance. Very close to the airport as well.

We had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel for a total of 6 nights, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed an authentic and warm hospitality that made us feel truly at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with every request went above and beyond our expectations. One of the highlights of our stay was the remarkable cleanliness and tranquility of our room. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment, allowing us to relax and unwind in utmost comfort. The icing on the cake was the superb internet reception, which allowed us to stay connected seamlessly throughout our stay. Our stay was punctuated by delightful mornings indulging in an exquisite breakfast spread. The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight! The hotel's al fresco dining experience was an absolute treat. The ambiance was charming, and the food left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way. A noteworthy mention is the hotel's convenient proximity to Boudha Stupa, a mere 10-minute walk away. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere. The daily free yoga and meditation sessions held within the monastery on the premises are truly transformative. The staff allowed us to check in early after a long overnight train.  Thank you. The hotel is comfortable and perfectly located.  We could walk to the Potala and Jokhang Temple. Dozens of restaurants and cafes were also within walking distance. There was oxygen in the rooms and breakfast staff were very welcoming.  Would stay there again.

Sehr wunderschönes Hotel 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Flughafen. Alles war sauber, komfortabel, und ich fühlte mich immer gut betreut. Der Fitnessraum ist gut gelagert und hat einen großen Blick auf die Stadt. Das Frühstück war ein weiteres Highlight und umfasste viele leckere Nepalesische, indische und westliche Lebensmittel. Das Front Desk-Personal war äußerst hilfreich und freundlich, hilf mir Taxis zu einem günstigeren Preis als der Touristen-Rep off-Preis anzurufen, und sie halfen mir auch, meine Gepäck über Nacht zu lagern, während ich auf einen Yoga-Retreat ging. Kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen genug!!

Es ist ein sehr sauberes Zimmer. Das liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend. Die Antwort ist von der Mitarbeiterin abhängig. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Ich möchte es noch einmal verwenden.

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

What an amazing hotel! Everything is perfect: Rooms (very Nepalese details); food (great options and taste is amazing); staff (all are very helpful); complimentary airport pickup Keep in mind: The location is not totally close to temples or Thamel. But you can go by taxi or bike (via Pathao).

Ausgezeichnete Aufenthalt und warme Gastfreundschaft in Mercure Kathmandu Das war mein erstes Besuch in Kathmandu, und Mercure Kathmandu verließ wirklich einen wunderbaren Eindruck. Von dem Moment, als wir ankamen, stand der Service und die Gastfreundschaft heraus. Ein besonderer Verweis auf Paras, der uns vom Flughafen entnommen und uns bei der Eincheckung geholfen hat. Er war außerordentlich freundlich und professionell, und hat sogar einige sehr nützliche Informationen über das Umgehen von Kathmandu gegeben, die uns wirklich helfen, die meisten unserer Reise zu machen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Frühstück für nur eine Person reserviert, aber das Hotel freundlich erweiterte komplimentäres Frühstück für uns beide ein Geste, das wir wirklich geschätzt haben. Das Zimmer selbst war wunderschön sauber, komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Die Toiletten waren komplett, auch mit einem Rasor und Rasencreme, was ein schöner Touch war. Insgesamt waren die Mitarbeiter in unserem Aufenthalt konsequent hilfreich und freundlich, so dass wir sehr willkommen fühlen. Sehr empfehlen Mercure Kathmandu jedem, der die Stadt besucht großartig Service, Komfort und warme Gastfreundschaft überall!

Am heutigen Tag habe ich mich beim Hotel Shanker anmelden gewählt. Der warme Service, leckere Lebensmittel und Qualitätsumfeld, alles ist so gut. Das Hotel bereitet Dekorationen und Kuchen sehr gedanklich vor, überrascht uns. Aufgrund der späten Ankunftszeit hat das Hotel mir auch den Abendessen bestellt, so dass es sich bei unserer Ankunft genießen konnte. Schließlich das Essen auferwartet lecker. Ich empfehle Ihnen, das Shanker Hotel zu wählen. Wo immer es sich um einen Urlaub oder eine Feier handelt, ist es die beste Wahl.
