Die Zimmer sind geräumig und modern, mit raumhohen Fenstern, die einen Blick auf die Stadt und die Shwedagon-Pagode bieten. Der Infinity-Pool bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht, und es gibt auch ein Spa, einen Fitnessbereich und Restaurants. Der Service ist professionell und aufmerksam, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, sowohl für Geschäftsreisen als auch für Urlaube geeignet.

Service is quite bad. I am a local and and I feel like the hotel staff doesn’t give a **** to local. They only favour the foreigners.Service wise including both front house and F&B. I don’t want to give even two star for service. Better improve such kind of discrimination mindset to locals. I wasn’t even served by welcome drink. Such a bad experience due to poor customer service. Totally deviated from my expectations and disappointed. Service wise should learn from three star hotels Haha. There was only one shower robe🫩

In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying. It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus. Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice.

Hotel Room are nice and clean, however the elevator smells like someone was smoking. I booked for 2 person, however, during breakfast, I was approached to be inform that my companion is not registered and not entitled for the breakfast, eventually, front desk settled the issue.

Schön, sauber und ruhig zu bleiben in Yangon... sehr bequem, dass sie alles wie Schwimmbad, Fitnessraum, Restaurants und Bar... jedes Mal, wenn ich nach Yangon kam, habe ich nur dieses Hotel reserviert.

Das ist eines der besten Hotels, die ich jemals gehabt habe. Es ist früher als Rosewood Yangon bekannt und wurde nun für 8 Monate wiedergeöffnet. Alles ist hervorragend, sehr freundlich, geduldig und hilfsbereites Personal, außergewöhnliche Service. Die Geschichte des Hotels geht zurück bis 1927, so dass es absolut ein historisches Gebäude ist. Die Dekoration ist sehr exquisit, das Frühstück ist schmecklich und es gibt viele Möglichkeiten. Die Lage ist auch gut und sicher, sehr nahe Sule Plaza, General Post Office und British Embassy. Auf der Terrasse können Sie die River view sehen. Ich möchte insbesondere meinen Dank an Vanessa und Swar ausdrücken, sie haben mir eine Menge detaillierte Informationen gegeben, damit ich mehr über dieses Hotel, diese Stadt und dieses Land wissen kann. Warning: Major language barriers and smoking issues at this new hotel While this is a newly built hotel, I was shocked by the lack of English proficiency at a 5-star establishment in Yangon. The front desk staff spoke only Mandarin and Burnmese. Ironically, the IT technician was the only person who understood a bit of English, which was the only redeeming factor regarding communication. Key issues for international travelers: Language Barrier: Do not expect to use English with the reception; it is primarily a Mandarin-speaking environment. Smoking Regulation: Despite ”No Smoking” signs in the lobby lounge, guests were smoking openly on the coffee tables. I also encountered guests smoking in the hallways and elevator lobbies on the guest floors. It felt as though I was in China rather than Myanmar. Dining: The breakfast buffet is strictly Chinese-style. There were no Burmese food or drink options available at all. Room Condition: My room had a persistent smell of smoke and was full of mosquitoes. This is likely because housekeeping leaves the doors wide open during cleaning.
