We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Beppu and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location is absolutely ideal — centrally situated and within easy reach of popular attractions like Beppu Station, the hot spring districts, and local dining spots. Whether you’re exploring the “hells” of Beppu or heading to nearby onsens, everything is just a short drive or walk away. The room was perfect for our group of three. It was spacious, well-designed, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The beds and futons were very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and quiet — great for resting after a long day of sightseeing. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like extra towels, slippers, and good quality toiletries. One of the biggest highlights was the bathroom. Ours had a large window overlooking the city and surrounding hills — soaking in the tub while enjoying the view was a real treat and added a luxurious touch to the stay.

This is my favourite ryokan out of my whole trip. It's on an uphill, the carpark is before the ryokan. There are international/foreign staff that can speak english and they help out the family (I believe). They are still very courteous. They will give you the tour of the place and the room. It's so spacious with massage chairs and two outdoor onsens. Everything was great. I wished I could stay longer in the house to rest. Dinner was superb. They will bring you the course dishes and the boss? would come out to grill steak on a hot stone. It was very delightful. Breakfast will be at the same table. It was really good as well. There's also a surprise when you check out. It is overall a very homely stay and the facilities are great!

Der Standort liegt ganz in der Nähe von JR Beppu und ist auch mit großem Gepäck sehr schnell zu erreichen. Die Raumgestaltung ist gut, mit kleinem Sofa und langer Werkbank. Sie können es auf YouTube ansehen. Das Bett ist hart und die Steppdecke hat nur ein Laken als Unterseite. Es gibt keine Steppdecke und es fühlt sich sehr schmutzig an. Wenn Sie sich im Schlaf häufig umdrehen, ist es wirklich einfach, sich zu bewegen. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sie jedes Mal die Steppdecke wechseln. Da ich gelbe Flecken auf der Steppdecke gefunden habe, konnte ich sie wirklich nicht akzeptieren. Ich habe an der Rezeption angerufen, um sie auszutauschen. Es gab jedoch immer noch einige Wasserflecken, aber vergessen Sie es, das ist besser als gelbe Flecken. Das Duschbad ist sehr altmodisch und die Wasserhähne und Toiletten sind alle mehr als zehn Jahre alt. Obwohl es im Jahr 2021 renoviert wird, sollte das Duschbad nicht durch ein neues ersetzt werden. Es gibt eine Tür zum Duschraum auf einer Ebene (natürlich muss man eine Treppe hinuntergehen), um aus dem Duschraum zu gelangen, was für ältere Menschen etwas gefährlich ist. Die Toilettenspülung ist sehr schlecht und kann oft nicht vollständig gespült werden. Es ist notwendig, die Toilette mehrmals zu spülen. Ich weiß nicht warum, aber in der Nähe des Fensters (wo ein Fensterbrett ist) ist es besonders kalt.

Wir wechselten den Zimmertyp, als wir zum Hotel (von Seaside Maisonette zu einem der Apartments des Towers) kamen und das wurde uns von der Nachtpersonal ohne Schaum angeboten. Service ist Top-Noch. Groß für Familien. Das Essen ist wunderbar und es gibt Private Essen in jedem Einzelzimmer. Es empfiehlt sehr, Familien von bis zu 4 Personen in den Turm-Apartments zu bleiben. Sie sind sehr neu und gut eingerichtet.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience was mixed — there are some nice touches, but also noticeable shortcomings. **Room:** The room was spacious but clearly outdated; furniture and interior look worn. The ventilation works, yet it still feels quite stuffy inside. It would be great if the hotel improved air-conditioning or installed mosquito screens: the sea view is beautiful, but opening the window isn’t an option because of too many insects. **Facilities & Service:** The only real extras are massage service and a shared onsen. There’s no gym, pool, or other activities — the hotel is designed for quiet relaxation. A shuttle service is available, which is convenient, but if you miss it, getting to the hotel on your own can be quite difficult. During this stay the hotel was quite busy, and it often took a long time to catch the elevator to our floor. **Dining:** Breakfast and dinner can be pre-booked; the food was tasty and varied. The bar offers a pleasant atmosphere with a decent drink selection, and in the evening the lobby lounge opens with alcoholic drinks and light snacks — a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. **Location:** The property faces Beppu Bay, yet the seaside feeling is limited — there are few walking areas nearby, and due to insects it’s hard to enjoy the open air. **Overall:** A good option for a calm, onsen-style getaway with decent food and polite staff, but when the hotel is crowded, the lack of facilities and outdated rooms become more noticeable. With some modernization and better infrastructure, this could be an excellent resort.

Das Schlafzimmer hat drei Doppelbetten, und das Zimmer, Wohnzimmer, Restaurant, Küche, Hof, Pool (bis Sommer Wasser), Innenraum, Außenwärmepool, Außenpool, Sauna, zwei Badezimmer usw., der Hof ist sehr privat, Aber aus dem Hof können Sie die schöne Aussicht auf die Wärme und die Wärme von Wärme und Dampf aus den Meeren und Bergen des Hauses sehen. Das Hotel ist sehr hoch (viele kleinere Innenhäuser haben Parkplätze), aber es spricht mehr Japanisch/Korea. Es wurde noch keine Kommentare gefunden und es wurde eröffnet, dieses unvergessliche warme, südliche Urlaubshotel zu teilen!

Do note that it is outskirts of hiji, driving at night is quite quiet. The hotel doesn’t have private bath in the room so do take note as showering will be shared under traditional public bath house. Family bath house is available for booking only, which the staff let us use it during the two nights there. Thank you for the great service!

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit “glamping” im Grand Verde Resort. Von der ersten Eincheckung bis zur Abreise war die Aufmerksamkeit auf Details und Gastfreundschaft Top-Notch! Wir haben das herrliche Frühstück und Abendessen, das öffentliche Bad, Sauna und die Hobbit-Haus besonders geliebt. Die herrlichen Aussichten aus unserem Hof in den Bergen waren atemberaubend und wir konnten Millionen von Sterne in der Nacht auf den klaren Abenden sehen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fünf Sternen!!! Sehr empfehlen Sie diesen Platz für Ihre nächste Getaway!

Terra Yufuin is great for families. The 6 beds available can accommodate at least 6 adults and a handful of kids. The onsite indoor onsen was well loved by my kids. We stayed in the ”sauna” house and hardly used the sauna- it was great to go in and out of the sauna in the November weather. The owner/manager was responsive to our requests through the app. However, I found the amenities to be very precisely provided for laundry detergent pods and trash bags. I felt like we had to ration them even though we did not request for more. Only one pillow is provided per bed too. I would recommend this place especially if you are alright with bunk beds above your bed. My older folks bumped their heads every night so that will have to be a consideration. Other than that, the place is well kept and beautiful.
