I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The first great point is the proximity to the Fukushima Station. When I arrived, my check-in process was handled by the Manager, Matsuda-san. He was very friendly and warm. The room I stayed in was decently-sized, giving me enough room to walk around with a large suitcase and other bags on the floor. A suitcase stand and a small stool are provided. The beige wallpaper provided a nice contrast to the dark carpet. The controls for the room were absolutely fantastic - I could, for instance, adjust the brightness of the main light and the strength of the bathroom exhaust fan. The bathroom was slightly cramped, but I managed. An alarm clock is also provided for guests. The default blanket in the room was far too hot; even with the heating turned off, I felt like I was being roasted while I was in bed with the blanket covering me (and this was in winter!). I didn't like the default pillow either, it was too hard. On my last night, I requested a thinner blanket and softer pillow. Thankfully, the hotel was able to provide them, and I slept much better after using the new blanket and pillow. Funnily enough, the mattress was also quite hard, but it didn't give me any problems. The sound insulation was fantastic, and the cleaning staff were super quiet! I almost couldn't tell that they were outside my room doing their work! I also very likely had considerate Japanese guests on my floor, hence the peace. Nearby the hotel is S-Pal, where you can buy all sorts of prepared meals (if you're lucky, you can find a few vegan options). There's also a large pharmacy, and there are many convenience stores around. The main complaint I have is that the check-out time @ 10:00 is too early. I think 12:00 would be a better time. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those. I definitely recommend Hotel Route-Inn Grand Fukushima Ekimae to others, and I will definitely consider staying at Route-Inn hotels in other parts of Japan! Side Notes: (1) If you have large luggage and arrive at the Fukushima Station, you'll have to take the elevator at the west exit, and when you reach the ground floor you'll see another elevator about 20 metres in front of you (slightly to the left). This second elevator will take you to the underground passage, which you can use to get to the east side of the station, where Route-Inn Grand Fukushima is located. Do note that there is a rear entrance to the hotel (next to a public parking lot), and this will save you from walking to the front of the hotel with all your luggage. (2) Vegan options in Fukushima are unfortunately extremely limited, but you can find some vegan tofu bars and a few other items at 7-Eleven...but be sure to use Google Lens to translate the ingredients!

Vielen Dank für den wundervollen Aufenthalt. Das Thermalbad war sehr entspannend, und die Einrichtungen, einschließlich des Fußbads, waren ausgezeichnet und haben mir sehr gut gefallen. In einigen Bewertungen wurde der Service bemängelt, aber die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war köstlich, und der Begrüßungsdrink sowie das Yokan (süßes Bohnengelee) waren eine nette Geste. Ich fand den Aufenthalt hier wirklich lohnenswert. Da der Bus nicht direkt zum Hotel fährt, kann man Sie, wenn Sie von der Aizu Samurai Residence anrufen, an der Bushaltestelle abholen lassen. Eine Kleinigkeit noch: Das Reinigungspersonal hatte unsere Futons vorbereitet, aber am Ende warf sich einer der Männer aus unerfindlichen Gründen nieder, obwohl er nichts falsch gemacht hatte. Das tat mir leid für ihn. Ich finde, das war unnötig. Vielen Dank. Ich würde sehr gerne wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten, wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergibt!

Overall a nice hotel, very close to the JR train station, just a couple of minutes walk away. The room size was very generous a lot bigger than others we’ve stayed at in Japan. The bathroom was also very spacious with a full size bath and powerful shower. The hotel provides nightwear and toiletries as well as coffee and laundry. Breakfast has a good variety of choices although can we quite busy as peak times and items do run out. I would recommend as a good convenient choice if travelling by train.

Lady in the receptionist so lovely. She tried very hard to explain about rules and so on. Location is good, a lot of restaurant near hostel.

初めての二本松宿泊で、tipcomの口コミを参考に 光雲閣さんに、叔父と3人で宿泊しました 駐車場は、光雲閣さんの上下にありどちらにとめても良いそうです、3時少し前にチェックイン、今回は各自一部屋のお部屋に宿泊、2階部屋の宿泊だったので、大浴場と足湯の所へは スムーズにそのまま向かうことが出来ました、 翌朝の朝食ブュッフェは4階清風へ 受付の方から、ブュッフェ会場の従業員さん皆さん とても一生懸命で、応対も優しいです また、菊人形の時期に訪問したいと思います 夫も叔父も私も大満足です 大変にお世話になりました

Besucht mit der Familie während der Spitzensummer Juli. Die positiven: Das Hotel war sauber und die Eincheckung war rechtzeitig verfügbar. Das Zimmer war sauber, gut isoliert und voll von natürlichem Licht. Nur bereit zu bezahlen, um die meisten Dinge, die Sie denken würden, würden enthalten.

I am quite impressed with this hotel and almost try to reserve another one from the same hotel grouo. First, the room is not big but it is decided to use the space efficiently, e.g. standing shower instead of bath tub. large TV attached to the wall (which is a smart TV!), simple chair and can be placed below the desk. And in terms of facilities, there is a small bookshelf of comic books, massage chair ( with no cost ) in the relaxation room. The public bath has mid side hot tube, a sauna and cold bath. And for breakfast, there are good variety of choice and the area is large and comfortable. I think it is a result for thoughtful design and good use of space (again!). The only downside would be the lobby is located at the 3rd floor and the entry is facing a sidewalk, which can be confusing to find.

Das war ein perfekter Familienausflug. Das Hotel organisierte einen Zugtransfer vom Bahnhof und informierte uns über den Fahrplan. Beim Check-in konnten wir einen Shuttle für den nächsten Tag buchen. Der Fahrplan der Aizu-Bahn wurde ebenfalls bereitgestellt, sodass wir uns keine Sorgen machen mussten, ihn zu verpassen. Auch der Fahrplan für Ouchi-juku wurde bereitgestellt. Das Abendessen war köstlich, und es wird empfohlen, früh zum Frühstück zu kommen. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und das Essen köstlich. Es gibt zwei Freibäder, von denen eines nur morgens für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich ist, sodass es sich lohnt, früh aufzustehen, um darin zu baden. Die Sauna hat einen einzigartigen medizinischen Steinboden. Insgesamt war es ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, und ich kann einen erneuten Besuch wärmstens empfehlen.

We enjoyed En Resort, a ski in ski out hotel. Although location is far from JR train station, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle bus service to and fro the train station. Shuttle bus service to the ski centre is on demand, so it is really convenient. Or just ski in ski out from hotel. Facilities at hotel includes public bath, heated swimming pool, complimentary massage chair, table tennis table, coffee at lobby, marshmallow roasting at lobby, laundry room, complimentary ice cream. Ski lift passes and ski/snowboard rental available at hotel. Lockers available too. We stayed for 5 days with half board meals. Totally enjoyed the food. Staff at reception and restaurant are very friendly.

I checked in 10 minutes early but the room was ready to check-in. The Staff were nice as they tried to communicate with me even though I’m not good at Japanese. The room was nice but when I was looking for an earphone case I had dropped underneath my bed, I found out that it was a little dusty down there. The breakfast was japanese-style which cost only 550 yen and it was delicious. I asked them not to clean my room during my stay so they just hung a new amenity bag at the door for the second night. I also had a chance to use the laundry and drying machines which worked fine. The hotel is near the Iwaki station so it was easy to get the bus and the train. I really enjoyed staying there.
