Als wir ankamen, gab es viele Parkplätze, die für uns ein Pluspunkt waren. Wir nahten an die Rezeption, um sich zu überprüfen, und sie waren sehr willkommen. Es könnte eine kleine Frage mit unserer Buchung gewesen sein. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, was es war vielleicht unser Zimmer nicht bereit, aber es wurde schnell gelöst und wir wurden auf ein King Zimmer mit River view upgraded. Ich wurde gefragt, wie ich für unseren Besuch bezahlen möchte, aber ich musste ihnen mitteilen, dass es bereits online bezahlt wurde. Nach dem Abendessen ließen wir uns im Getränkzähler für einen heißen und weichen Getränk aufhalten. Der Server war wirklich nett und sie wurde auf unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst. Das Zimmer selbst war geräumig und modern. Wir mochten das intelligente Fernsehen wirklich, da es uns mehr Möglichkeiten gab, etwas zu sehen. Das Badezimmer war auch schön, aber das Toilette war ein wenig gefärbt. Insgesamt genossen unseres Aufenthalts.

Bed sheet had a stain, not sure if it was changed or washed properly. Found short hairs - about 5 on the duvet cover. Had a very busy day so did not bother to call the hotel staff to change the sheets as this was past 1 am. Dusted the sheets and used my shirt to cover the pillow. Needed sleep.

I was feeling uncomfortable with the front desk service on my check out day. I just asked the front desk staff for a late check out request at 12:00 pm. The front desk staff asked my room no without a smiling face. After I told her the room no, she said a £20 will be charged for late check out. My request is for extension of one hour only. You can say something like… oh I am afraid we wont be unable to fulfil your request as our room has been fully booked today…. But if you really want to extend your stay for a few hours, you could pay a late check out fee if you’re willing to do so….

Ich liebe die Holiday Inn-Kette von Hotels und der tolle Standard es setzt aber ich wünsche wirklich, dass sie einen Kühlschrank in ihren Zimmern haben, da ich ein Diabetiker bin und es wäre schön, in der Lage, meine Medizin im Kühlschrank mein Sohn in einem Hotel, das war die Hälfte des Preises und sie Hatte ein Kühlschrank.Moan über, wir hatten Frühstück und es war lecker die Betten waren komfortabel und der allgemeine Standard ist sehr gut und das Personal ist sehr professionell

Bei der Bestätigung des Auftrags gab es nur “Zahlungen im Hotel gemacht” Die Gebühr bei der Eincheckung war höher als der Betrag in der App. Es dauerte Zeit, um einchecken zu machen und das Gefühl war nicht sehr gut. Buffet Frühstück war gut. Sie können einige Auswahl bestellen, wenn es nicht in den Hot-Platten verfügbar war. Yummy 👍

Nice clean room and modern clean shower room. The hotel is in a good location and within easy reach of the city centre. Quite a good buffet breakfast but the restaurant area is quite small and gets very busy so best to avoid peak time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express Wigan and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly service from the staff. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast each morning, which was a great way to start the day. The selection of food was impressive, with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The location of the hotel is also excellent, with easy access to the town center and nearby attractions. Plus, the ample on-site parking made it easy to come and go as I pleased. Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Wigan to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the area. The staff, accommodations, and location all exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Schönes Zimmer, nicht sehr praktisches und komfortables Badezimmer. Das Frühstück hat keine große Auswahl, aber die Qualität ist wirklich hoch, mit Ausnahme des Kaffees, der schrecklich schmeckt! Die Käseplatte und die Cocktails sind wirklich wow!!

The location is just 10 minutes walk from Manchester Airport Terminal 1. The room is clean but there is no fridge at all. It is a bit out of expectation that the bar and restaurant in the hotel are actually look exactly as its conference halls, I think they just put tables and chairs there in café setting and make it the restaurant, no any decent lighting, furniture, decorations to boost an dining atmosphere, not even sounds like a place for breakfast. You can see from the picture the venue can be reverted back to a conference hall just removing the table sets. A bit disappointed for the dinner of the night's stay as it is at hotel pricing, food is just ok. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, there is nothing close by unless you travel to other areas, the closest walkable location is the airport or the train station.

Wow! This is truly the best hotel in Manchester! Every room is unique. The rooms on the first floor have high ceilings which gives it a grandeur feel. The staff are excellent and really pull the stops out to make your stay here extra special. The complimentary drink to meet other hotel patrons between 5-6pm is a welcomed touch. The food in the Refuge restaurant is of a high standard and I can honestly say that their Sunday Roasts are one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Sunday evening live jazz in the bar creates a great vibe. What I truly like about this 5* hotel is the atmosphere. Unlike most hotels, this hotel does not have that lifeless clinical feel that the majority of hotels who are catering to business clients. There restaurant and bars are of a quality where you would want to go even if you are not lucky enough to stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
