GGastnutzerWe had booked this hotel for our boys team state baseball tournament. Overall good hotel, boys loved the pool. Breakfast was good. Waffles were the best part. Carpet looks newer. Just a couple things in our room 317-there was a sticky spot on carpet in between the 2 double beds that I kept forgetting about until I stepped in it. The room itself was clean and the bedspreads and room itself was updated to look more modern from the not so appeasing hotel pics I saw online. The canvas paintings above the bed were beautiful and modern. The bathroom doesn't have a vent & is smaller. The tub wasn't overly clean. Almost seems like the maintenance rolled a type of white paint over the floor of the tub that is starting to fade. The shower curtain had a few spots on it--but I've never been a fan of hotels with these cloth shower curtains that are used for everyone and probably rarely get removed and washed. The faucet in the bathroom sink had no pressure--just like 4 sprays of water-made it hard to brush your teeth. It's probably something that the maintenance man could fix but I wasn't there long enough to ask about it.
The hotel staff came in every day to remove our old towels on the floor and replaced very neatly with new towels. They removed the garbage. It was nice to come back to the hotel to this cleanliness from the hotel staff.
Overall it was a good stay. They even had a washer and dryer (bring quarters) to do a load of the teams uniforms for the 3rd day of tournament.

GGastnutzerWir reservierten dieses Hotel online und ich war über unserem Zimmer und dem Hotel übereinstimmend zufrieden. Ich rief ein Zimmer am Ende der Straße wegen TKR-Operation und Servicehund zu gehen. Sie stellten sicher, dass wir nur das, was ich brauchte. Das Zimmer war außergewöhnlich sauber (und ich war Head Housekeeper @ HIE so mag ich Dinge sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Bedingung des Hotels ist groß und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war lecker und wir hatten eine Vielzahl von Dingen von Waffeln bis zu heißem Essen bis Getreide, Obst, Der Pool wurde erhitzt, was für entspannte Schwimmen gemacht wurde und die Heißröhre war schön und heiß, wie ein Heißröhre sollte sein. Vertrau mir, wir haben so viele geblieben, dass sie kaum warm sind und es nicht wert ist. Sie nehmen stolz auf die Pflege, die Reinigung und die Pflege des Poolbereichs sowie das Hotel selbst. Wir wollten eine Nacht zu bleiben, und der Besitzer buchte es persönlich und gab uns einen wunderbaren Deal, und er hat mich sogar eine Kuppel Getreide nehmen lassen, um meine Medizin mit zu nehmen. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer wunderbaren Lage mit Hy-vee, Fareway, Dollar General, Walmart, Mc.Ds und anderen Nahrungsmittelanlagen in der Nähe sowie Gasstationen. Schließlich möchte ich hinzufügen, dass ich sehr glücklich mit der Sicherheit des Hotels war. In einem sicheren Ort zu sein, dass ich mich nicht um mein Fahrzeug kümmern muss oder meinen Hund nachts rausholen, ist eine meiner obersten Prioritäten. Wenn Sie also einen Platz um das Des Moines-Gebiet finden, gehen Sie das kleine Extra und bleiben in Grimes @ der Roten Löwe. Du wirst nicht enttäuscht sein!

GGastnutzerI have had an excellent 3-day stay at this hotel. The beds are comfortable, towels are thick and room is nicely updated, quiet and clean. Totally love the telescoping magnifying mirror on the wall and I really appreciate having a cover on the toilet. (Some places don’t have that anymore. 😱)
Breakfast had many choices: awesome waffles, fruit, whipped cream, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, and alternating hot egg and sausage choices, and daily biscuits and gravy (highly recommended).
The pool area is small but functional.The hot tub was in working order and the water temperature was good. (I personally like it a little hotter, but that’s just me.) Just ask if you want the lights turned on while you’re in there.
I had no problem checking in and staff was very helpful throughout my stay.
A previous reviewer had showed concern about the fire doors not being closed at all times, however, they are magnetic and will automatically close in the case of a fire, so no worries there.
Location is convenient to a major arterial and interstate and I had no problems finding the hotel. Close to many popular locations.

GGastnutzerCheckin process was good; but the room was ice cold when I first arrived. After turning the AC off to get to a more livable temperature, I noticed that the chair by the window reeked of stale cigarette smoke. As long as the fan was always running and the temperature setting was cold, the smell was not noticeable; but hardly hospitable. The center of the bed sagged a bit; it might be due to the lack of proper bed support under the mattress. Plentiful hangers came in handy. Showers were very nice; lots of hot water and good pressure. I can't review the breakfast or facilities because I did not partake of either one. These problems can be quickly rectified; but I should not have to ask. They should have been observed by hotel staff and reported for correction.
Housekeeping service showed up at 8:45 on the first day of a 3 day stay to clean the room but I was still sleeping. I didn't realize that I _HAD_ to put out a Do Not Disturb placard to keep them from waking me up. I thought they would be able to tell that I was still in the room with their housekeeping key. They did not return later that day to perform their tidy up routine.

GGastnutzerI had called a week earlier to request 1st floor since I am claustrophobic & can’t do elevators & when I checked in they gave me a 2nd floor room but when asked they switched me to a 1st floor room. The 1st room the TV did not work but the 2nd room the TV worked but the garbage can was half full if garbage & the lights on each side of the bathroom mirror just flickered & would not come on. The thermostat is very confusing & hard to figure out & we had the front desk guy come to room but it didn’t help so they need to figure that out or put instructions next to thermostat to explain how to use. It shouldn’t be as difficult as it was. We couldn’t figure out if the cool or heat was on. The room was chilly & we couldn’t get it warmed up. The next morning I went out to breakfast & came back to my room to get my things at 10:30 & was locked out so I had to go to front desk & waited 6 minutes for someone so they could fix my key to get back in room to get my things & check out. The hotel is beautiful & very clean. I am pretty sure I won’t go back to this hotel for awhile.

GGastnutzerAls Iowa State-Schüler fühlten wir uns wie im Campus. Zu einem erschwinglichen Preis genossen wir unseren Aufenthalt mehr als das durchschnittliche Hotel an einem ähnlichen Preispunkt.
Das Hotel bietet einen Pool, ein Heißtube und einen Jacuzzi. Obwohl die Einrichtungen ein bisschen veraltet scheinen, fühlten wir uns, dass sie sauber und genossen sie sehr.
Das Zimmer war nicht so spannend, aber es schien sauber. Ich schätze die Beleuchtung, einschließlich Dimmer für Nachtlicht im Schlafzimmer und Bad.
Wir haben das IowaStater Innenrestaurant für das Frühstück versucht. Wenn Sie nach einem Mittlerwesten Frühstück mit allen Stapeln suchen, serviert sie uns ein erstaunliches Omelet mit einigen der besten Frühstückskartoffeln, die ich je hatte.
Alles mit dem Personal, das wir getroffen haben, war freundlich und hilfreich.
Ich empfehle dieses Hotel sehr, wenn Sie in der Nähe des Campus sein wollen.

SshebearIch habe hier seit etwa 4 Jahren geblieben und ist für die meisten Teile ein ruhiger Ort. Ich kenne die Eigentümer und das Personal ziemlich gut sehr nett Menschen. Großes Personal macht Sie immer zu Hause und am Urservice zu jeder Zeit fühlen. Aber Sie haben auch die Privatsphäre. Perkins ist über dem St und wenn Sie erwähnen ur Aufenthalt im Motel 6 erhalten Sie einen 10% Rabatt von ur Rechnung. Und es gibt viele Parkplätze und Ur in der Spazierweiterung von Gasstationen und Restaurants, ob es sich um schnelle Mahlzeiten oder ein Familienrestaurant in einem lokalen Bar-Einrichtung mit Nahrung und Unterhaltung handelt. Großer Ort zum Aufenthalt und bequem zum Interstate und Autobahn!
