Ich war wirklich besorgt, dass ich ein Zimmer weiter entfernt hätte. Glücklicherweise hatten wir uns nebeneinander und eine Tür zwischen jedem Zimmer genommen. So können wir gleichzeitig nah sein, aber getrennt. Hier reserviert, da meine Kinder das Frühstücksgebäude lieben!

First stay here and will definitely return. 3rd stay at a Mercure brand hotel and cannot fault any! Bridgewater is a pleasant town with plenty of places to enjoy and pass the time. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are very nice with excellent air conditioning if you need it! Comfortable beds, all mod cons including Samsung TV, USB sockets by the beds, ambient lighting, storage well thought out, small fridge, room service, fabulous bathrooms with waterfall shower and lovely extras such as decent shower wash and hair wash, make up/shaving mirror with lighting. Very secure hotel with 24 hour reception and lift only operable with key cards. Didn't try the hotel restaurant but judging by the volume of people eating there I'd assume very good! Nothing to fault!

Best hotel in Bath. Very beautiful hotel and the room is so comfortable and have all required amenities. Big room, big bathroom, strong water pressure and hot water is working well. A lot of plug point and got a fridge as well. This hotel have an elevator. The downside is on the parking area where guest isrequired to pay for 15£. But they have free parking on the side street that is free from 7pm to 8am in the morning. We had a pleasant stay here and will come back later.

Das Frühstück ist gut mit einer Vielzahl von passenden Optionen. Wir sind drei Personen, wählen ein Familienzimmer, ein großes Bett und ein kleines Bett, das gut zu uns passt. Das Hotel liegt am Ortseingang, die Stadt ist sehr ruhig, es gibt ein großes Outlet, man kann einkaufen gehen, wenn man Zeit hat.

I stayed at the most beautiful place yesterday — it truly exceeded my expectations. Although it’s in a slightly remote location, that actually added to the charm. The surroundings were stunning and peaceful, making it the perfect escape from the city. The service was absolutely five-star; everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed. Even the bathroom had massage features, which was such a luxurious touch. Every detail made me feel completely relaxed and taken care of. If you're looking for a hidden gem that offers both beauty and comfort, this place is 100% worth the visit.

I took advantage of two promotions on the platform: a £5.99 railcard purchase and £5 off train tickets, both requiring booking a European hotel within 26 days through trip.com. Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. Money-saving tip: I used TopCashback to access trip.com, earning $7.67 cashback for this booking. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase. ❤️ Third-party Marriott members get perks, too! This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later. The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form. 🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. ❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest

LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. GGastnutzerIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch,the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.

GGastnutzerWir reservierten 2 Nächte für ein entspannendes Spa-Wochenende. Basierend auf der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein Spa-Hotel handelt. Wir planen, für das gesamte Wochenende im Hotel zu bleiben.  Als wir ankamen, wurde uns gesagt, es gab kein Restaurant oder Bar, das wir nur für Veranstaltungen verwenden können.  Wir hatten dann ein Mittagessen im Spa-Café. Das Essen war ok. Der Service war schrecklich.  Wir gingen dann ins Zimmer, als wir inchecken konnten. Der Reiniger war noch da. Sehr entschuldigend sehr freundlich und wunderschön. Das Zimmer war absolut wunderschön. Großes Schlafzimmer Badezimmer und Wohnzimmer.  Wir gingen raus und fanden ein Pub fürs Essen. Als wir zurückkehrten, um in dem Zimmer zu entspannen, fanden wir die Party direkt unter uns und in voller Schwung. Sehr laut und laut und das Rauchen war direkt außerhalb unseres Fensters. Wir riefen Rezeption, aber sie wurden vollständig reserviert. Ich freue mich, es alles um Mitternacht zu sagen.  Wir gingen zum Frühstück bei 9.30. Nicht viel übrig und das gesamte Frühstück war kalt. Als wir es fragten, wir wurden gerade gesagt“gut es ist seit 7” es hatte gerade auf der Seite in Silber-Taschen für 2.5 Stunden sitzen, keine Heizung oder Option zum Wiederheizen. Es war nicht essend.  Wir haben das Frühstück überschritten, das wir am zweiten Tag bezahlt haben.  Wir dachten, wir würden etwas Zeit im Spa verbringen. Ha! Nun ist der Pool klein, kein Ort, um nur ein paar Kunststoffstühle zu entspannen, keine Spa überhaupt. Es hatte eine sehr kleine Sauna und Dampfraum. Der Jacuzzi funktionierte nicht, es war nur ein Pool von wolkenfreiem Wasser mit wenigen Blasen.  Es scheint, als wäre es gewöhnt und könnte ein wunderbarer Ort zu sein, aber er wurde übernommen und verloren seine einzige. So schämlich wie das Gebäude und die Boden sind wunderbar.  Ich muss die Reinigungspersonal hinzufügen und die Lady auf der Rezeption waren wunderbar, willkommen und freundlich.

LLittlepud67Great location being only 10 minute walk to Christmas markets.  Room was a bit dated, couple stains on carpet but not anything that spoilt our stay.  We had an accessible room so the shower was not tall enough to get our heads under, again didn’t spoil our stay.  Breakfast was spot on, plenty choice and lots of it.  Staff were lovely and easy to find.  Would definitely stay again if we go back to Bath.

GGastnutzerThe hotel is attractive and full of charm, with a pleasant aspect facing the church, however, the surrounding area of Bridgwater is rather run down.  Staff were very efficient and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the restaurant as it was closed due to it being Father's Day. Our room was ok, and had a large bathroom with both shower and separate bath. There was plenty of hot water available, but aware that it was almost scalding when allowed to run without cold added. The bed was comfortable and the room well equipped with tea facilities, ironing board and iron and hair dryer. Due to the age of the building, there was a lot of noise from residents walking around in the rooms above ours, but it wasn't too obtrusive. Breakfast was very good with a choice of full English or continental and my gluten allergy was catered for.  If you  need to stay in Bridgwater, then I would recommend The Old Vicarage, but we would probably look in the villages further out of the town in future.
