Motels in Taiwan, China

The staff were really lovely and I'm sure that had I have spoken Chinese, the things I'm about to say would've been different as I would've been able to explain them over the phone and get them rectified.  CONS: I didn't get there until almost 1 am due to a flight delay and then missing the last MTR, so by the time I did get there all I wanted was a hot bath and a quiet night's sleep. Firstly, the room had definitely had smokers in it previously. They may have done a treatment but it was still noticeable. Secondly, there was 'hair' in the bathtub from a previous occupant. So I definitely didn't use it. Thirdly, I got almost no sleep – even though the bed was really comfortable – because the smoke alarm in the room needed its battery replaced and spent all night making that very loud high-pitched sound that you cannot ignore! Now again, had I've been able to pick up the phone and ask them to come and sort it, it could have been a different story, but... PROS: the room was a great size, and the bathroom had both a spa bath and a walk-in shower. It also was very large and is well set up for customers to drive their vehicle into the ground floor of the unit then go up the stairs to the first floor where the actual room is. The staff were very nice and welcoming even though I arrived so late and even gave me some instant noodle cups. I also got a voucher for breakfast, but didn't end up getting to use it as I was too tired to get out of bed and go there before it finished.  I may not be the target clientele for this establishment, and while this particular stay had farcical elements, now that I know what it's like and how it works, I probably would stay there again simply due to how nice the staff were. It's not their fault that I don't speak Chinese. 

Sehr schönes Hotel, nahe dem Flughafen Taoyuan. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und geräumig und das Bett war wirklich komfortabel. Der Jacuzzi war ein riesiges Plus! Kein Fenster im Zimmer jedoch. Es gibt einen privaten Parkplatz direkt vor Ihrem Hotelzimmer. Es ist eine Art ”drive-in-motel”, so dass der Empfangsmann die Rollentür schließen wird, wenn Sie 'ab' und es wieder öffnen wird, wenn Sie zurückkommen.  Leider ist Frühstück nur von 8AM geliefert, so dass wir es nicht verwenden konnten, wie wir früher verließen.

房間大，原本知道是老舊設施，但進房感覺房間等設施和廁所都有翻新，壁紙有重貼，也沒有煙味，廁所水壓大又熱，整體住起來舒適，主臥床偏軟，次臥床就蠻舒服的，過年期間有這種房價還附早餐，真的有讓我驚艷。

Die Service-Einstellung ist zu verhandeln. Es ist offensichtlich die Zeit, um 4 Uhr zu bleiben, aber ich kann nicht auf das Zimmer warten. Das ist ein Monat vor mir bestellt. Habe ich auch das Frühstück nicht klar gesagt, muss ich auch an die Tischstelle sprechen, und ich habe noch nicht fertig gesagt, dass ich das Monopol zerstört habe. Am Tag bestellte ich zwei Zimmer, die andere Böden schwarz ab, das Zimmer hat auch Rauchgerüche, Der Sofa ist auch kaputt, obwohl der Bereich sehr gut ist, aber der Service ist nicht gut, ich hoffe, es wird verbessert.

I stayed at Discovery Motel Nan’gang for three nights. While the pricing is reasonable and the included simple breakfast is appreciated, it’s important to note that this motel is designed with couples in mind and is not suitable for families or those seeking a more traditional hotel experience. The key advantage is its convenience for those traveling by car — each room has a dedicated parking spot right in front of the door, which makes access very easy. The location is relatively accessible by car, but may not be ideal for guests relying on public transportation. Overall, it offers good value for specific types of travelers, especially couples or solo drivers, but I would not recommend it for family stays.

The hotel is more like a serviced residence, the building is nice but the rooms are not located like a typical hotel, however for the price, location close to metro and comfort getting used to the layout isn’t a big deal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the room a lot and there are lots of places to eat near by if you’re driving, or use the metro it’s a great stay. Also the food delivery services in the area are really good! I’d recommend this hotel, it’s in a quiet beautiful neighborhood and is great value for the amount of comfort and service they provide.

Obwohl es ein ziemlich altes Motel ist, war das Servicepersonal, das mich begrüßte, als ich das Zimmer betrat, das Haus reinigte, mir das Frühstück servierte und mich beim Auschecken begrüßte, das beste, das ich je erlebt habe! Wir haben im Classic-Zimmer übernachtet. Das Bett war gut zum Schlafen. Das Frühstück wurde von der Restaurantabteilung geteilt. Wir sind früh aufgestanden und haben Haferbrei und Beilagen gegessen, um unseren Magen aufzuwärmen. Es war großartig, weil ich frühmorgens nicht gerne bei McDonald's esse.

Der Check-in war unglaublich langsam, und dann konnten sie meine Buchungsinformationen nicht finden. Es dauerte ewig, und ich musste mit drei verschiedenen Mitarbeitern sprechen, bis sie meine Reservierung endlich gefunden hatten. Das Zimmer war riesig und hatte sogar eine große Badewanne. Die Aufteilung des Zimmers hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu hätte. Hoffentlich muss ich beim nächsten Mal nicht 20 Minuten lang nach meiner Buchung suchen, um einzuchecken!

The Jacuzzi and Sauna was great to have with the gloomy and rainy weather. Definitely will book again of we are back in YiLan. First experience of a ”motor hotel”. Would be great if they installed the bidet seats and have the kitchenette/Bar equipped for simple dine in. The lady at the ”reception” is fantastic and made us feel so welcomed.

Das Hotel ist mit super Einrichtungen erstaunlich und wird von dem Personal sehr gut gepflegt. Das Rezeptionspersonal ist sehr hilfreich. Unser Aufenthalt war am angenehmensten. Viele Einrichtungen in Form von Lebensmitteln, 7-11, Busstation, Schwimmbad und Spa sind alle in der Nähe.
