1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel! Das Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und sehr komfortabel. Einer der Highlights war das private Bad perfekt für eine entspannende Socke nach einem langen Tag, bietet sowohl Privatsphäre als auch Ruhe. Das öffentliche Bad war ebenso beeindruckend: gut gepflegt und eine gute Möglichkeit, sich zu entspannen, während Sie die traditionelle Erfahrung genießen. Die Einrichtungen waren unspottbar und die Atmosphäre machte es einfach, sich vollständig zu entspannen. Insgesamt war es ein fantastisches Aufenthalt mit dem besten der beiden Welten der Luxus eines privaten Bades und der Charme eines öffentlichen. Ich würde sicherlich zurückkehren und dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen, jemanden, der eine rejuvenative Getaway sucht.

Sweetme Hotspring Resort is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Xinbeitou Station and conveniently close to many restaurants. One of the highlights of the stay was the spa experience. Guests can enjoy both the private in-room hot spring and the public spa facilities. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Breakfast was another strong point, with a good selection of food to start the day right. Overall, Sweetme Hotspring Resort delivers a well-rounded experience with great amenities, a prime location, and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely come back again.

LAGE: Das Resort liegt in der Nähe des Shuishe-Piers (ca. 5–7 Gehminuten), was eine bequeme Möglichkeit ist, den See zu erkunden, allerdings ist der Eintritt kostenpflichtig. Ich persönlich würde lieber in der Gegend von ITA Shao übernachten, wo es mehr Essen und Aktivitäten wie Kinderbootfahren, Kanufahren, Aquabiking und Stand-Up-Paddling gibt. Das Restaurant „SUN MOON Restaurant“ ist jedoch ein absolutes Muss! Es liegt direkt gegenüber dem Resort und das Essen ist unglaublich gut, die Gerichte sind einzigartig und entsprechen einem 5-Sterne-Standard. Allerdings schließt es um 20 Uhr, also kommen Sie früh, um Enttäuschungen zu vermeiden. Insgesamt ist die Lage nur ok. SAUBERKEIT Akzeptabel, aber die Inneneinrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, und auf einer Deckenplatte liegt eine dicke Staubschicht (meine Kinder haben mit ihrem Spielzeug herumgeworfen und es hat diese Platte getroffen, wodurch Staub aufgewirbelt wurde). Das ist aber nicht entscheidend, da dieser Bereich nicht häufig betreten wird. SERVICE Gut ... aber etwas verspätet ... Es regnete, als wir ankamen, und wir hatten mit zwei Kindern Mühe, das Gepäck auszuladen. Das Personal kam erst zu uns, nachdem wir unser Gepäck abgeholt hatten und im Unterstand warteten, bis mein Mann das Auto geparkt hatte. Trotzdem war es hilfsbereit ... Der Service war während des gesamten Aufenthalts ok ... Das Frühstück mittelmäßig ... AUSSTATTUNG Gut ... Es gibt einen Freizeitbereich mit Kinderspielplatz, Billardtisch, Tischtennis, Handspiel-Arcade-Fußball und Computerspielen wie Nintendo und PS5 – alles kostenlos ... Es gibt auch Karaoke- und Mahjong-Räume, diese sind allerdings kostenpflichtig. Es gibt auch einen Mehrzweckbereich mit Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine und großzügigen Sitzgelegenheiten für diejenigen, die lieber drinnen essen oder spät abends einen Snack zu sich nehmen möchten. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen haben, aber natürlich ist nichts perfekt ... „Wenn Sie in Rom sind, machen Sie es wie die Römer.“

Insgesamt war ich enttäuscht. Schon beim Betreten des Hotels konnte das Personal meine Reservierungsinformationen nicht finden und fragte mich sogar nach meinem Nachnamen auf Englisch, der Anzahl der Reisenden und deren Geschlecht. Der Sitzbereich in der Lobby, inklusive der Kunstinstallation, war staubig, und auch der Außenbereich war voller Laub. Mir fiel das alles auf, weil ich sehr lange in der Lobby auf mein Gepäck warten musste. Während ich mit dem Basteln für meine Kinder und meine Familie beschäftigt war, wurde mein Gepäck bereits aufs Zimmer gebracht. Als ich wieder zu mir kam und meinen Koffer brauchte, sagte das Personal, man würde ihn aus meinem Zimmer holen (wir konnten noch nicht hinein). Ich hatte jedoch ein Handgepäckstück mit den Toilettenartikeln meines Kindes dabei, und mein Kind musste dringend auf die Toilette. Also warteten wir fast 20 Minuten in der Lobby auf den Koffer. Was die übrigen Annehmlichkeiten betrifft, war der Begrüßungstee sehr einfach, und die Fensterscheiben in meinem Zimmer hatten große Wasserflecken (ich dachte zuerst, sie wären beschlagen). Ein Teil des Ausblicks unterhalb der Zimmer war von Unkraut und scheinbar vernachlässigtem Moos überwuchert. Es wirkte, als sei die Landschaftsgestaltung das sorgfältigste Planungselement des Hotels; ich verstehe nicht, warum dieser Bereich überhaupt existierte. Der Unterschied ist enorm. Da alle Mahlzeiten separat berechnet werden, ist es den Preis wirklich nicht wert. Das Essen selbst ist recht gut. Der Wäscheservice ist ein Pluspunkt. Alle Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. Wenn der Zimmerpreis sinkt, würde ich einen erneuten Besuch in Erwägung ziehen. Bleiben Preis und Ausstattung jedoch gleich, werde ich nicht wiederkommen.

Hotel room was clean and well furnished. Staff was friendly, but no one helped us to unload our luggage when we arrived. The heated pool in the hotel is great. Kids will love it. There are many different pools, both indoors and outdoors with different temperatures. Guest would need to purchase a swimming cap before entering all pool areas. Guest can bring their own too, if they remember to do so.

Thought I was upgraded from 36m2 to 28m2 (happiness room to love suite), so it is on higher floor, not G/F. Just note that there are two stairs inside room for love suite (door to room, room to hot spring) so it actually feel smaller than the photos. Original plan was to have my aunt 65+ to stay. Stairs may present some difficulties to them so ask hotel before confirmation of your trip if you have elderly /small children. Pros: can listen to birds singing in the mornings while watching Mountain View. This will be one strong reason for coming back. Also, views from dining room is superb. Appreciated so much for the staff at reception who meticulously take care of my needs to order take-out. She was so kind & I hope more ladies could be in hotel to serve their clients. At this price (lowest HKD46x for basic room type) there is nothing to complain. So I would definitely consider going back in winter times. Cons: plumbing system is old coz it’s uphill. WC can only handle liquid waste. Housekeeping effort will be needed for any solid waste disposal… Noise from housekeeping (& kitchen staff sending breakfast to rooms) can disturb sleep for light sleepers. When they change buffet breakfast to room service, I went to fetch a cup for hot water. A male staff intercepted me & asked abt the cups. To assure him that I won’t take these away, just show the pic below to reception (留下三大跟三小的杯). Hope he understands that female solo travellers are common elsewhere even i looked like locals; & simply bc my travel-mate have to leave earlier than planned.

The room was huge, the facilities were great, and the staff were friendly. The location was very convenient, within walking distance and very close to the LRT, while the environment was quiet and peaceful. There were also small handicraft activities and a mini theatre available in the basement. I did not have the chance to visit the public hot spring, but the private hot spring included in the room was already more than sufficient. I also loved the AI device for playing music and the smart home control panel for the lights and air-conditioning, which made everything very easy to manage. The room was clean and well maintained, and the overall stay felt very comfortable and relaxing. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with great facilities and thoughtful in-room features. The view was around 7/10 — not particularly spectacular as I stayed on a lower floor, but still decent as it felt open and unobstructed. I especially loved the hot spring, walk-in wardrobe, and dressing table with the large mirror. It was also very suitable for a solo trip — spacious, peaceful, and easy to enjoy at my own pace. Nonetheless, it is definitely suitable for all types of travellers. (My family actually commented that it was too big for 1 person, but I was more than happy with it.) Suggestion: It would be great to have a smart TV with YouTube or other streaming options, rather than only local channels. Feedback: The smart control system panel also did not seem to sync properly with the AI control, as it did not respond after commands were given.
