The fabric of the building was a little worn and tired. All staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat in so can’t comment on that. Great variety of food available in the Wool Market, 3 minutes walk away.

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey. The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip. The best hotel we stayed at during our holiday in the UK. Exceptional room, grounds, service and breakfast. It was also somehow the lowest price hotel we stayed at.

An easy to find location and close to the town. The reception staff were friendly and the area was spotless. The room was as described. Am not keen on the bathrooms with clear glass you can see into though. The hand soap and shower gel were so lovely, great smell. The room and bathroom were spotless. The towels were huge and fluffy. The bed was rather hard but fine for one night. I was on the second floor and could feel the vibrations of the trams running which was not great. Good for a one night stop but not a longer stay.

Upon arrival I got a very warm welcome from staff and they upgraded the room that was nice it's very clean and looks modern the beds comfy TV works great and WiFi is good very warm room and slept well had the breakfast continental was a good selection staff was very polite then had the full English didn't have the works but was full would definitely stay here again it's in the middle of town and 5 mins walk away from train station so u have everything you need close by

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the city centre. The staff are most professional and helpful, and keen to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. The building itself, however, is old and badly in need of a complete upgrade to bring it up to modern standards. The room was clean but scruffy wit9h chipped paint,, and fixtures and fittings stuck firmly in the 1970s. The bed was acceptable but the sprung mattress bore witness to its antiquity and should be replaced with a modern foam mattress.

The receptionist was super friendly and the surrounding is so convenient, walking distance to tram, food, grocery, and everything. We enjoyed it so much!

Really nice hotel for the price, the area is a bit dodgy but the staff was very helpful, near the city centre and train station so it's pretty convenient and there's a tram stop just 2 mins away. Overall pretty good
