It was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.

Das Hotel ist in einer tollen Lage, mein Zimmer war gut, aber die Möbel müssen aktualisiert werden, das Frühstück wurde leider alle 3 Tage überkocht, aber ich würde noch wieder zurückgehen.

This is the 2ed time staying here for 2 nights the price is ok the room is clean you get free tea and coffee in your room the breakfast is good value for money I believe it’s 15 pounds per person there is lots of fresh fruit cereal, a cooked breakfast as much tea and coffee as you like we didn’t go into the park this time as I have been in the wildlife Park before with my daughter this time we were visiting family the wildlife Park is amazing the staff at the Hex Hotel are super friendly . And professional. The only thing I would say negative about the hotel is checking after 4 pm. And you have to be out of the room by 10 am. I think check-in should be from 2 pm then that gives you a little bit longer in the room and maybe check out 11 am but apart from that I can’t fault this place but if you want to do an earlier check-in, they charge you £30. And if you want to upgrade your room, they charge you £15 per night to upgrade. . The shower is absolutely amazing. You have a rain shower and a smaller shower. You get two massive bath towels, two hand towels also shower gel body cream soap. That are individually. I will definitely be coming back and staying again. A short taxi ride into Doncaster town Centre where there is lots of bars that play music if you’re into that there’s also a designer outlet not far from the hex hotel. .

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey. The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip. Room was nice for the price, good water pressure and hot. Room was warm, bed comfy. Would have loved a kettle, and the parking permit they provide is a piece of paper which for my albeit niche position as a motorcyclist meant they just told me, don't worry if you get fined you'll get it cancelled, which is never fun! Also they take card for damage deposit which isn't actually an issue but it isn't notified at booking like nearly all others who do the same which is a bit subversive.

Ich überprüfe die Bewertungen, bevor ich mich hier entscheide zu bleiben. Es ist ein Budget Hotel, aber Parkplatz ist einfach (zusätzliche Kosten) und es gibt einen EV-Ladegerät, das sehr bequem war. Es ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Kino und es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Mein Aufenthalt im Rutland Hotel war wirklich angenehm. Das Personal war freundlich und freundlich; die Dame am Check-in-Desk war besonders wunderschön, und ich hatte Glück, den letzten Parkplatz zu bekommen! Ich dachte, das Zimmer war perfekt für einen Alleinreisenden, und gab mir eine komfortable Basis nach einem Tag, um die Stadt zu erkunden, bevor ich am nächsten Tag eine Show besuchte. Alles war sauber und teuer. Ich habe die Einrichtungen genutzt, eine entspannte Dusche genießen und in meinen Pyjamas mit einer Episode von Midsomer Murders (jedes Zimmer hat einen TV und WiFi). Ich bestellte Zimmerservice und der Curry war schmackhaft. Der einzige Nebenanblick war, dass das Zimmer wirklich heiß war die ganze Nacht. Auch mit dem gelieferten Fan laufen und dem Fenster und den Gärten offen blieb, blieb es unkomfortabel warm. Neben diesem, war es ein angenehmes Aufenthalt. Ich würde hier nochmal bleiben, aber hoffentlich nicht in einem Raum so heiß!! Zu dem Personal - danke für die schöne :)

Quiet and well connected location. Good views from the bedroom overlooking the well tendered fields of the nearby facility. Easy access to nearby major motorways. Adequate free parking (need to self-register at check-in). Tired decor but fairly maintained in most part. Safe provided for your valuables. Old style flat screen TV. Shower over bath provides good experience. Massive comfortable bed supporting good sleep experience every night. Bedroom access card was a huge problem at check-in and in-between my stay - I had to return back to reception three times as the card didn't work at check-in! Ended up insisting that the staff seek help as I was not ready to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. I got back another evening and card had stopped working again but staff at reception this time was quite responsive - after one unsuccessful attempt to reactivate the card he immediately went up with me to use a staff card to allow me access back to my bedroom with plan for resolving the card issue thereafter. I am appreciative of his reassuring approach.

Ich würde das nicht als einen guten Aufenthalt betrachten, da ich mehrere Fragen aufgetreten. Erstens war der Eincheckungsprozess ein Problem, da dieses Hotel keine Frontdesk hat. Ich habe Stunden gebraucht, um das Hotel anzurufen, entweder mit ”Line busy” oder ohne Antwort nach einer langen Wartezeit. Wenn es nicht für Trip.com Kundenservice war, der endlich mit dem Hotel verbunden war, hätte ich nicht gewußt, was zu tun. Zweitens war die Holztür in meinem Zimmer schwer zu schließen; es dauerte einen harten Druck und machte einen lauten ”Bang”. Die Glasschleiftür des Dusches war auch problematisch, es fiel auf meinem ersten Ziehen, und ich bin sicher nicht stark genug, eine Tür mit nur einem Ziehen zu brechen. Und schließlich, und am frustrierendsten, war die Situation des Toilettenpapiers. Es war mein erstes Treffen mit einem WC ohne eine Rolle Papier. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, was ich wäre, wenn ich nicht mein eigenes in meinen Taschen gebracht hätte. Auf positivem Hinweis war das Zimmer gut ausgestattet mit einem Kühlschrank, Ofen, Heizung, Toaster und sogar einem Eisen, was darauf hindeutet, dass das Hotel vielleicht ziemlich gut gewesen wäre, wenn die Dinge vor ein paar Jahren gut sind, aber nicht jetzt.

From check in to check.out served by warm, friendly professional staff, a pleasure to stay in this old hotel. Special thanks to Miranda and Carol, the housekeeping ladies for providing us with a spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Plenty of hot water, big clean towels, good size tv and were very generous replenishing our tea and coffee supplies. Enjoyed a good IPA beer on the first evening and loved listening to the live singing, 70's throwback by the excellent female singer. Would stay here again should we need to book a hotel on our next visit to Rotherham.
