"This is the first time I’ve stayed in many years, in fact it hasn’t changed it’s like go back into a time warp back to the 90s. The staff are very nice and the breakfast was very good (they have real eggs). Now the not so good stuff. The rooms are basic and outdated. Our mattress was old in fact it caved in the middle. Being a IHG member they had a loyalty week giving away prizes which was a nice touch but they removed the free bottle of water (not good) All in all a 6.5/10"

"A beautiful estate and so much to explore nearby. It's quite close to Windsor center and only a few min drive away from Windsor Castle. The layout of the hotel was a bit confusing at first because the main hotel reception is a little hidden, but easy enough to find after one or two attempts! The room is reasonably spacious for two and fairly clean. I only wish there was a fridge! One of our curtains fell on the second day of our stay. We were out when it happened and found it fallen when we got back. We went to reception to let them know (this was around 1pm) and they said they'll send someone over to take a look. We waited in our room until 6pm, called reception again, and no one came. We went down to reception the next day to inquire again and were told that maintenance had left for the evening, but that they will be sent to our room straightaway the next morning. We went out the next morning, came back, and found the curtain completely removed!! No replacement. We asked reception if someone was going to come replace the curtain and they basically said they couldn't fix it at this point, and that they could change us to a twin bed room (we were originally in a double) that was much, much smaller. Not the kind of situation I would expect from a hotel that flaunts its customer service. We also asked for room service on all three nights and not once were our bedsheets/duvet changed (we had an orange juice stain in the middle of our bed that was still there every day). Overall the location is great and the hotel is super aesthetic, but we didn't like the fact we had to stay in a curtain-less room for 2 nights with no compensation or alternative (and had to chase them to even do something about the fallen curtain)."

"A Wonderful Stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel We recently stayed in the Windsor House section of the hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness stood out immediately — everything from the bed to the bathroom was spotless, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s rare to feel so comfortable using hotel facilities without hesitation, but this room was truly impeccable. The location is ideal — just by the riverside and within easy walking distance of Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, Côte Brasserie, and the boat tours. Windsor Castle is only a pleasant 15-minute walk away, making it perfect for sightseeing. The service throughout our stay was excellent. From the warm welcome at reception to the helpful and friendly cleaning staff, every interaction felt genuinely caring and professional. Our stay included breakfast, which was a generous British buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold options, including pastries, fresh fruit, and more. There were plenty of drink choices with refills available, and the coffee was lovely — a great way to start the day. In conclusion, we highly recommend the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. We were extremely pleased with our experience and will definitely be returning in the future."

"Großer Aufenthalt an sehr strategischer Lage direkt vor Windsor Schloss. Aber der Aufenthalt hat leider nicht das Luftkonditionieren wie angekündigt. Wir gingen dort im Sommer zusammen mit unserem 7 Monate alten Baby. Unangenehmes Erlebnis verursacht. Abgesehen davon war die Einheit sauber und sauber."

"Das Frühstück ist das tollste. Nur einige von ihnen werden an der Bar eingenommen. Andere müssen bestellen. Der Kellner hat nur ein oder zwei. Das Essen dauert lange und ist möglicherweise nicht Ihr Favorit. Wenn viele Gäste da sind, ist der Kellner beschäftigt und ausdruckslos. Ich weiß nicht, warum sie diesen Service wollen. Das große Schlafzimmer war ziemlich gut und die Umgebung war ziemlich gut. Leider wird der Frühstücksmodus nicht im Detail erwähnt, sonst hätte ich dieses Hotel nicht gebucht."

"Die Parkplätze waren kostenlos und erreichbar. Die Mahlzeiten wurden diese Zeit und eine schöne Auswahl aufgenommen und das Restaurantpersonal wir re sehr aufmerksam und glücklich die ganze Erfahrung war sehr gut. Komfortable Bett und ziemlich ruhig. Die Dusche war nicht viel Kraft, sondern machte immer noch die Arbeit. Alle Dusche Gel und Haarprodukte waren dort bereit zu verwenden."

"Das Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage im Stadtzentrum von Reading. Einkaufszentren, Kaufhäuser, Restaurants, Cafés und der Bahnhof Reading sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist erstklassig, die Ausstattung modern und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider verfügt das Hotel über keinen Aufzug und die Treppenhäuser sind recht eng; Gästen mit großem Gepäck wird daher ein Zimmer in einem der unteren Stockwerke empfohlen."
