Quality Inn & Suites Weed - Mount Shasta

First, upon entering, no one is wearing Calif. State mandated mask. Entered the room, carpet is visibly dirty. Enter the bathroom, there is a smell of mildew/mold and mold is visible in the shower head, and around the shower. The shower fan is filthy and has a broken vent which is probably the only area air can pass. The shower floor flexes… there is no support under the shower which would indicate a leak and/or rotten boards underneath. If you use a hairdryer, the lights in the bathroom rapidly flicker so I hope you’re not epileptic!! A ceiling fan with no blades is the overhead light! Its 28 degrees outside and the heater may or may not work. Also, found a half eaten cheese burger under the desk and there is visible trash under the beds. If we were forced to prepay our 4 night stay we would have left the second we got there! Clearly mismanaged.

My family and I were on a road trip vacation. Booked a night here while driving. A few hours later we arrive and waited almost an hour in the lobby waiting to be checked in. My daughter had motion sickness from driving and had an accident in the car. So we really just wanted to get her cleaned up. They had a number for service to call on the counter and a bell to ring. I tried both several, several times. After nearly an hour of waiting, we decided to leave even though we already paid when we booked it online. Went to the comfort inn down the road, that was very nice and professional. The next morning I went there and was greeted by a guy with John lennon glasses, he was very nice. He called the manager and informed them what happened. The manager told him she would refund me the money through my email address. Days later I called back because that never happened. I called choice. And the calls went on and on and on. Almost a month later I was unable to get it resolved. Choice rewards informed me there was no longer a manager working for that location. Just one VERY worthless owner. Choice gave me 18,000 in points at least.

We stay at the hotel twice a year. We arrived close to dusk. There were individuals around the perimeter of the parking lot. We were a little uncomfortable. I went in to check in and nobody was at the front desk. There was a lady there waiting also. I called the hotel telephone twice and nobody answered. After 10 minutes a young man in a red hoodie appeared to see if I needed anything. After checking in we walked down the hall to our room. There were multiple empty rooms with the door propped open. Not comfortable. In the room the coffee service had two nondescript packages of coffee and nothing else. My wife enjoys a cup of tea but not tonight I guess. There was a used bar of soap and a razor cover in the bathtub. The wall covering was coming off the wall. The breakfast consisted of a Danish and coffee. Was uncomfortable with the parking situation so I went out to check the car. No exterior lights other than canopy lights

DO NOT STAY HERE. There are no amenities. No breakfast, no tv, the rooms are disgusting, and yet they still charge full price. I’m cheap, but I left to find another place, even though I was charged for the night. It’s that bad. Shady AF.

The woman in the front desk was really rude. I have teenage daughters with me. There were beer can everywhere. My daughters didn’t feel safe and I ask for a refund and the women said “It is my choice to give you a refund” . It was 1am in the morning and I had a long car ride.

Parking lot was cluttered with garbage. At first entrance, we were met with a sign stating “Be back soon, please call” with phone # to an employee not working at the time. The working employee in the room did not greet us, so we thought she was a guest or house keeping. After calling the phone number, the employee we thought was a guest/housekeeping came to the front desk. After checking in, we went to our room. It smelled strange. As travelers often do, I needed to use the bathroom only to find NO toilet paper. We went to the ice machine to get ice, and it was broken. Later in the evening, I got a bath ready, smell pee, and saw that the base of the toilet had not been cleaned. Before getting into bed, I saw a fry on the floor. On the bright side, the tv and air conditioner worked.

This was my worst hotel experience ever! Filthy room, paint peeling from the walls, no toilet paper or soap (fortunately, the maintenance room was left open, so we were able to find some). Only one receptionist who was young and inexperienced and overwhelmed by guests with all sorts of complaints. We would have left if there was anywhere else nearby with a vacancy.
