Iraklis Apartments

In diesen Ort muss investiert werden. Die Lage ist großartig und es hat die Voraussetzungen für ein großartiges Hotel, aber alles wirkt alt, abgenutzt und braucht dringend etwas Pflege. Für den Preis habe ich nicht viel erwartet, aber ich habe erwartet, dass das, was zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, funktioniert, aber leider war das nicht der Fall. Die Steckdose neben dem Bett funktionierte nicht und als ich das meldete, zeigte Maria kein Interesse. Das Licht über dem Spiegel funktionierte auch nicht, ebenso wenig wie die Kochplatte. Der Gefrierteil des Kühlschranks hat nichts eingefroren und am Kleiderschrank fehlte ein Griff. Ich habe den Pool nicht benutzt, da man, obwohl das Hotel Selbstversorger ist, keine eigenen Speisen und Getränke am Pool konsumieren darf. Das Badezimmer war besonders enttäuschend. Es gab keine Halterung, um den Duschkopf an der Wand zu befestigen, keine Duschwand, kein Regal, um etwas abzustellen, und kein heißes Wasser. Zusammenfassend wäre dieser Ort für die eine oder andere Nacht in Ordnung, da er direkt neben den Bushaltestellen zu anderen Teilen der Insel, einschließlich dem Flughafen, liegt, aber wenn Sie hier Urlaub machen, geben Sie etwas mehr aus und gehen Sie irgendwohin, wo es etwas komfortabler ist.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und sauber. Personal (Inhaber) sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe einer Bushaltestelle, sodass Sie bequem in die Nachbarstädte gelangen. Der Strand ist nicht weit entfernt, entweder überquert man an der Bushaltestelle die Straße, oder man biegt am Ausgang des Hotels rechts ab, dann verläuft etwa 100 Meter entfernt ein Tunnel unter der Straße. Wir haben eine Woche dort genossen, den schönen Poolbereich und die schönen Sonnenliegen.

We had a lovely couple of weeks staying at Iraklis apartments in Stalis.Maria and Stavros are friendly and very helpful, and speak very good English.The rooms are clean , the beds comfortable, and linen and towels are changed regularly.The pool is maintained well and very clean , and the pool area is in good order with comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas.The beach is within easy walking distance and there are restaurants shops, a supermarket and bakery near at hand.The weather was in the mid 20s and very pleasant.Feeling the benefit of a lovely holiday.Hazel and Willie

I arrived after 11 pm and the wonderful host Maria was waiting to check me in. I had booked a twin studio room for 12 nights at £12 a night including tax. Maria offered to show me better apartments if I wanted better but once I saw the room I had booked I was happy to stay in it. I explained I was a first time solo traveller and she put my mind at ease by explaining 2 solo travellers arrived the previous day and were now friends I was fortunate to join their company the next day. Everyone who was staying had time for each other exchanging their experiences and anything that needed more information was soon attended to by Maria. Apparently a group of solos who met there last year are all due back for this year's meet up soon. The pool area has been completely refurbished for the season and new sunbeds , tables and chairs had arrived but weren't in use yet . My room was on the ground floor and had a table and 2 chairs outside it but didn't get much sun which to me was a bonus as the pool and bar are better to sit near in the sun while the room stays cool a big bonus as the main season arrives and could save paying extra for air con. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine, best to turn the shower on prior to going in it to run off the cold water in the pipes with the hot water coming from the external roof tanks. Food and drink is available, I gad tea every morning and enjoyed a special omelette on 3 ir 4 occasions . Speedy the 121 year old resident tortoise created alot of conversation. I didn't miss not having a TV and think some reviews are unfair as there is a massive choice of rooms and prices and some operators only show certain ones hence the confusion. Speaking to Maria they upgrade some rooms every close season. Like any accommodation if you have an issue mention it to the host and hopefully they ll sort it but if you haven't done so it's unfair to complain from home. Bus stop 29 was outside the apartments with Malia to the right and Hersonissos to left doable on foot or just a 2 euro coach journey away. There us a nice bakery/ cafe, butchers,supermarket, Italian Restaurant very close and the nearest pub Goodfellas which is only a year old was excellent value for food and drinks with very friendly staff , large screen tvs and any music you wanted them to play. I m unsure if it ever closed and is one of a few year round pubs. All in all I wouldn't hesitate in rebooting and I m sure the majority if the people who were there at the same time would do the same. With it been the start of the season the resort was quiet but all the premises that were open gave excellent service to the early arrivals and the atmosphere was very relaxed, the weather was amazing

This was a last minute booking to these apartments and I must say I have had an enjoyable stay. I arrived around midnight and there was a note on reception door explaining my room and how to get there. I was in room 3 on the third (top) floor. It has recently been refurbed except the fridge which is pretty old but works perfectly. I had a wonderful sleep on the fairly firm thick mattress. There was no balcony as such but I did put a chair on the main balcony in the evenings and took in the lovely scene. The pool is kept very clean and is refreshing to get in and cool down. The hosts were fantastic in that the couple of questions I had were answered and information all correct. I would not hesitate to return here ( Maybe later in the year) This is my first solo holiday and I felt so safe and welcome. Also the single supplement was not too much and very reasonable. The food is reasonably priced too! so don't pay too much attention to the bad reviews on this site as some people pay for this standard of appartment and expect first class! BTW there are no tv's in the room unless you book a suite ... but hey you don't come to Crete to watch telly! 😂

Where do I start!!! Bit of a mixed review to be honest but here goes The location is great with a 5 minute walk into the main ***** of Stalis, Bus stops literally 2 mins away to go to Malia or the other way to Hereklion.. Apartments are not like the photographs that are advertised they need updating (great photographer to be fair to make them look that good) , Our apartment was so dismal, No light comes in, Awful dark green colour wall & curtain (one curtain) at the window was heavy & thick. No balcony, table & chairs outside the door which is the walkway for other guests to get to the stairs, So no privacy to sit outside, Not a lot of kitchen accessories for use, Fridge was old & rusting in places, everytime we opened the door the small freezer door fell off, The bathroom was nice but seemed like there was a door missing from the shower cubicle so the floor got soaked with every shower. The rooms didn't get cleaned everyday, Felt sorry for the maid as she was the only one & had all the apartments to do on her own. Maria was lovely but I did feel she had her favourite guests.. Now onto breakfast (we booked bed & breakfast) Interesting to say the least, So our first day we were served two fried eggs & toast was in a basket, We were not consulted as too whether we liked eggs or given a menu or a choice of food, The breakfasts were again dismal, One day we were given salad, Another day we were given cake!!! We were not asked if we had any allergies or dislikes, You basically got what you were given. The pool area was ok, only three umbrella's between approx 20 sunbeds, The children's pool was a bit unhealthy looking. Too say the least we won't be staying again...

Nice hotel apartments very near to the town of stalis .You can visit the town by foot . The apartment very nice and calm . I came late for check in and they had the room ready whith the key for me .I will be back for sure . I would prefer if they had hand soap in the toilets

Maria welcomed us after we had an awful experience at another hotel in Piskopiano. She immediately put us at ease. Our room (36) was exceptionally clean and exactly as pictured and described on the site we found the hotel on. The facilities are excellent both in the room and around the hotel. Our room was cleaned regularly and to a high standard. Maria & Stavros have a lovely family atmosphere. The hotel is just over the road from the main Stalis resort. The road is safe to cross but if you have young children there is a tunnel under the road just to the right as you come out of the hotel. We will be staying next year.

The hotel was good value for money. The location was great with bus stops to malia on one side and on the other side goes to heriraklion, the beach and the centre about 5 minutes walk. Water pressure was not great but OK for the size of the place pool was great however could do with being cleaned alittle more as there was hair floating around for a couple of days which I personally removed a few times. A/c was little noisy sounded like a strong wind out side. The kitchenette was OK missing a lot of equipment, we had to ask for a toaster and knifes as we had the box for the toaster but no toaster and a 4 man room but only 2 knifes 3 plates. The host were OK but mood was different day to day on the right they were great wrong day a little rude which I guess was a bad day when we checked in as she said hope you enjoy your stay and if you don't to bad. But all in all we would stay again but pay a little extra and stay in different room. We had a great holiday so thank you for that.
