Beautiful period property with great location and beautiful bedrooms

Great value and nice room. Needs a little investment

從大門進入，就是一個露天的咖啡廳，四周綠色植物爬滿牆壁，在温暖的午後，和朋友三三兩兩的聊天喝咖啡很愜意。從右手邊門口進入，就是酒店的前台，樓梯比較狹窄，酒店房間比較大，而且乾淨衞生，早餐是傳統的英式早餐。

We stayed here for New Years Eve as we had tickets for an evening event in Salisbury city centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was large and very clean although would benefit from updating. The bathroom was very tired and needed replacing. I am not sure how noisy a stay here is on a normal night but on New Years Eve it was quite noisy. We get into bed around 2am and we still heard people outside our window until after 4am. We would stay again for a similar event.

On this occasion excellent. with few other guests just before Christmas. Past experiences have not all been so good. It's a bit of the luck of the draw. But the only other good-ish hotel in town is no more reliable so you might as well enjoy the historical atmosphere at this one.

My career was in management and that seemed to be a little lacking at this hotel. I ordered a double room for comfort but got a basic single. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and was informed that they were not serving meals that evening. consequently I had to go out in the rain to find a restaurant. At 80 years old it is not something I like to do these days, thankfully a friend was also staying at the hotel so at least I had company. Our reason for staying was to attend a funeral at Salisbury Crematorium the nerxt morning. Cannot fault the staff who went out of their way to accomodate our needs.

The hotel had a lot of history contained within its walls which was why the layout of the rooms was a little confusing. The staff were helpful and always willing to assist if I had any little problem. Can I suggest that tissues be made available within the rooms and the Wi-Fi connection be improved?

Brilliant position in the heart of Salisbury , our room was adequate but tired .We had an evening meal which was very disappointing , similar to a Wetherspoons but twice the price .Be careful if you go out for an evening and come back after 11.00pm as they shut the main gate leaving only a quite dangerous step through door , I wasn't aware of the step ( it wasn't highlighted ) , and ended up head butting the cobbled floor .I have since found out that I wasn't the first person to do this and won't be the last , as the manager at reception didn't seem to bothered !

We were hoping for a quiet and relaxing stay, but both nights we were disturbed by a lot of noise (the manager tried to tell us it was drunken guests but that was not the case. to suggest this is insulting to the handful of guests that were staying. All were elderly and certainly not the type to roll in drunk at 2.45 am. It was staff and everyone who complained know full well this is the case. We were refused dinner on Saturday evening because the kitchen was closed for a function. We had not been warned about this, and had to venture out in the bitter cold, when all we wanted to do was eat at the hotel and hang around there for the evening. On Sunday morning, having waited 45 minutes for our breakfast, which we had prepaid for, we were told that the had run out of food, so we wouldn't be getting any breakfast. We complained, and have just received a full refund, however we are not at all happy with the way the manager swept most of our complaints under the carpet. Reading between the lines, she didnt want to antagonise the staff, all of whom seemed pretty unhappy in any case. I understand that the hospitality industry is having a staffing crisis, but this hotel will have a customer crisis soon, if they don't learn how to treat their paying guests properly.
