Had a recent 3 night stay, beautiful room with fabulous views of the estuary. Really nice outdoor seating area great space to have a drink, room was very clean and a comfortable bed, all staff were very polite, in the centre of this pretty town, no parking at the hotel but we dropped our bags and went to one of the carparks advised by the hotel 15min walk away, I would recommend and stay again.

Gem of a hotel on the estuary front. A lovely quaint hotel. Room on the front with side sea view with small patio is very nice. You get a view of the estuary and the sailing boats whilst sitting in bed. Bathroom is a decent size with great hot shower. Fresh milk is served in the room. Dining area is tasteful and comfortable with views of the estuary. Very good breakfast choices from the kitchen and cooked well. When the sun is shining the outside terrace is excellent for sitting out. The evening menu choice was reasonable - I had the pork belly which was tasty. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and extremely hospitable. There is a nice seating area downstairs where you can relax in an evening. The location of the hotel is great in the town centre with easy access to a range of amenities, the coast path and the ferry to Polruan. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Thank you. I consider myself extremely mobile and was able to access and navigate the stairs fairly easily but someone with mobility issues is likely to find this an issue.

My first stay at the Old Quay House. Location on Fore Street is great - lots of cafes and shops on doorstep. I was in Fowey at the tail end of the festival so there was quite a hubbub! Hotel service was good. Dined at the restaurant one evening - crab and hake were good. Room was on the third floor and was small. The only thing I did not like was that the bathroom was in a section down below - had to walk 10-12 steps down. So if your knees are iffy (as mine are), this might be a strain that you might not have expected. If i stay again, I would ask not to be given this type of room. Overall it was a good stay.

Very disappointing experience. Room was nice and dinner was ok - but most of the waitressing staff, apart from the maitre d’, were very inexperienced and really couldn’t be bothered. This is a very long way from being a boutique hotel and I have noticed, on trip advisor, that every time someone writes a bad review, a good review from 2023 suddenly appears - presumably in the hope that no one notices the date! Very poor.

Lovely accommodations and staff! Close to shops and restaurants. The patio is a perfect place to just watch the world go by.

Pillows were hard and flat. The mattress was acceptable but could be better. It was warm weather - around 18 C during our stay - but the heating was on. Bedrooms extremely hot. The common areas were also very hot with radiators on full despite the doors and windows being open. Seagulls also noisy some mornings. Would not stay again.

Dinner Bed & breakfast ... let's start with bedroom 5 which is possibly on the refurb list. A comfortable room, super-king bed, balcony & ensuite shower room with v nice toiletries. Room was big, bed comfy, nice views. Had to hunt around for a plug for the kettle and eventually found it in the drawer. Silly us not to look in the drawer! Nice tea tray with kettle and nespresso machine. Also complementary water. Lots of dust behind bedside tables- 4 in a bed would have had a field day! Dinner was good, good and not so good. Pricey wine- cheapest was £30 a bottle. Starters & mains nice enough & service good despite there only being one staff member doing it all, poor bloke. He was v cheery despite the pressure. Puds were a let- down, Pannacotta with strawberries was a puddle of Pannacotta with super sweet strawberry syrup - (tinned?) and fresh strawberries topped with a sort of sweet crumble. A plain Pannacotta with a few strawberries would have been much nicer! No complaints about breakfast apart from an Aunt Bessie's-style hash brown. Lovely refill of teapot & toast was a nice touch.

Would highly recommend. Friendly helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast. Very comfortable bed.Centrally located. Restaurants, shops and ferries on the door step to go to Polruan to take the bus to Looe/Polperro. Beautiful spot to stay in with terrace overlooking the harbour to while away the time.
