Das Hotel war jeden Cent wert. Ich liebe es, dass ich einen internationalen Plug bekommen konnte, wenn ich einen benötigte und dass das Personal immer bereit war, zu helfen. Das Frühstück OMG!!! Nie gesehen oder geschmackt etwas mehr leckeres. Die Vielfalt von Essen und Service von Personal war absolut außergewöhnlich !!!!

Location is good enough if you are conducting business in and around the city of Durban and not expecting anything more than a very basic 3 star experience. Even so, the value for money is not great. Rooms are clean, but need a little TLC here and there. Colleagues said their beds were very uncomfortable, but I clearly got lucky, as my bed was very comfortable. If you order from the a la carte menu, be prepared to wait a long time for your food to arrive. Same applies to drinks orders. Seems as if they were still on skeleton staff post Covid, or maybe they were unprepared for the influx of people attending Indaba. IMO, City Lodge is much better value for money.

Waren nach 3 1/2 Wochen SA Tour in Durban. Sehr gut, dass wir uns für das Belair entschieden haben. Lage: an der Strandpromenade, 600 m nördlich liegt in auch abends sicherer Fussweite (5-10 min.) das Suncoast Centre (Hotel, Foodstall, Havanna Grill Restaurant). Nach Süden ist man sofort im belebtesten Teil der Strandpromenade, dem angenehmsten Teil von Durban City. In der Innenstadt sollte man sich - sagen wir mal - sehr bedacht bewegen, sicher nicht bei Dunkelheit. Bis hier sind es ca. 10 Autominuten. Wir empfehlen, ein Taxi/Fahrer zu nehmen, das zu den wichtigsten Spots fährt, das ist eindeutig am stressfreisten (das Hotel hat Kontakt). Zimmer: hatten De Luxe Room (40m2) im 9. Stock. Atemberaubender Blick auf den indischen Ozean, kein Balkon, dafür Fenster zu öffnen. Alles vorhanden, sehr gutes Bad, Fridge, Safe, Sitzmöglichkeiten, Top Betten. Frühstück: umwerfender Blick vom 11.Stock, man kann auch draussen sitzen. Frühstück selbst ist auch erste Klasse, Buffet plus warme dishes, erstklassiges Omelette. Service: 1a. Sonstiges: sichere Parkplätze hinterm Hotel für 65 R. WLAN kostenlos. Im EG gute und auch besuchte Bar mit Happy Hour 17:00-18:00, buy 1 get 1 free. Fazit: ganz klare Empfehlung für Durban !

Das Hotel ist in Ordnung und alles, aber der Parkplatz ist sehr klein und begrenzt Ich musste meinen Bakkie auf dem Parkplatz auf der anderen Straßenseite parken, aber es gibt 24 Stunden einen Wachmann?

Ankunft am Ort und nicht das Zimmer bekam ich reservierte sie sagten mir, es wurde von anderen Leuten genommen. Unser Zimmer hatte kein Spiegel und kein TV, der Air-Con nicht funktionierte und es war kalt. Checkout ist sehr früh um 10:00 Uhr morgens, was nicht einfach war. Abgesehen davon werde ich dem Ort eine 5:10 große geben, um über Nacht zu bleiben und am Morgen zu verlassen.
