This place unfortunately looks nothing whatsoever like the photos advertised. I chose it because it was cheap, but the photos showed a modern bathroom and reasonably looking rooms with sinks, kitchenette etc. A modern bathroom is important to me as a lady traveling. I sure did not get this! The room was something out of the 70's with no modernisation. The shower curtain rail was about to fall down, the beds were so old they had big sags in them, the was only a bowl left to wash up in, not one piece of dinner set matched, the decor was so outdated with old tiles in the bathroom and rusted up loover windows, florescent lights (broken outside my unit where I wanted it for safety), an old in the window air-condition unit that worked for one day and rattled so badly I had to get up and turn it off, after this I couldn't even get it to work, an old rusted fan that was probably my saviour in a hot climate, no hand soap supplied and the beds were not remade after 3 days as advertised. From here it gets worse - at 12 midnight I was awoken by yelling and bashing buy a guy trying to get into my unit. I got up to go to the loo and turned the light on - the looser windows would not work as rusted up, and the next thing he was trying to climb in my toilet window. Being on my own I was terrified and did not sleep the rest of my stay, it was a horrific experience. On a plus the staff followed up on what happened, apologising and were very empathetic to my ordeal.

Wir blieben im Hotel Allen für zwei Wochen Anfang August 2019. Wir fanden unser Zimmer sauber und komfortabel. Unser Balkon sah Gregory Street über. Danke Carol, Kim und alle anderen für unseren Aufenthalt großartig. Wir hatten viele Senioren-Mahlzeiten im Hotel Allen. Diese Mahlzeiten waren schmackvoll und sehr gut wert. Es gibt keine bessere Lage in Townsville als dieses Hotel. Es ist nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand, Queens Park, Geschäfte und vielen Restaurants. Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es eine Lichtausstellung im Queens Park und ein Kunstfestival (mit toller Musik) am Strand. Wir hoffen, nächstes Jahr zurückzukehren. Anne und Peter aus Melbourne

We had to haul out our boat for the antifoul and needed a place to stay. This is an older, budget hotel and I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Check in was easy and the young lady at reception was welcoming and accommodating. The room was small, but cosy and nicely refurbished. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was very warm when I arrived, but the aircon worked well to cool it down. My only critique is that even though there was a lovely desk/work area, there were no power points nearby and I had to run an extension cord from the powerpoints across the room to power up my devices. There were boxes available, but had not been set up to have power points. You can probably see this in my photos. In the morning I got a convenient takeaway breakfast from the cafe out front. The motel was right on the foreshore and walking distance to cafes and restaurants. My husband loved it and wants to stay again sometime. We can highly recommend this little jewel on the Strand.

Auf der Spur des Moments entschlossen wir uns, übernachtet in Townsville zu bleiben. Wir sahen viele Orte an, aber wir wollten wirklich etwas auf dem Strand mit einigen Blicken. Wir entschieden, Wassers Edge auf dem Strand zu überprüfen. Ich ging hin und sah, was verfügbar war, und die wunderschöne Michelle war froh, mich zu lassen, die Einbetteinheit zu prüfen, bevor wir gegangen sind. Es war ziemlich gut, aber kein Balkon. Michelle hatte ein Studio auf der nächsten Ebene mit einem Balkon, aber es übersehen den Pool, so dass wir die erste Wahl gewählt haben. Ehrlich gesagt, der wichtigste Appell bei der Wahl zu bleiben war, wie fabulös, freundlich und hilfreich Michelle war! Die Einheit war schön, obwohl ein Tad datiert. Es war offensichtlich, dass einige Upgrades waren. Das Bett war komfortabel und mit einer Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner war ein Plus. Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt so sehr, dass wir eine 2. Nacht verlängert. Nur Mines waren kein Balkon, kein Waschpulver und es war sehr hell in der Nacht mit Licht durch die Gräber und die Schlafzimmer Bindungen. Pluses - geräumig, komfortabel, sauber, gut ausgestattet, zentral, sicherer Parkplatz und großartige Aussichten. Fotos online waren genau, so dass Sie wissen, was zu erwarten. Würde sicher wieder bleiben, obwohl ein höherer Stock mit Balkon wäre besser und auch einige der Straßenlicht blockieren.

Es war wirklich lieb hier zu bleiben. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel, sauber und geräumig. Wir hatten eine Bodenbodeneinheit mit einem Spitzen des Meeres. Es war sehr zentral für Geschäfte und Restaurants und die Wasserstraße und erstaunlich ruhig. Kein Ofen, sondern die Kocheinrichtungen waren großartig. Das Personal hätte nicht hilfreicher sein können. Wir würden sicher noch einmal hier bleiben.
