Anthony, ein Trainer am Concierge, war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Super Professionalität machte meinen Aufenthalt belohnend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, aber das Zimmer WiFi war sehr schwach und kann nicht angeschlossen werden. Die Lage ist großartig und Restaurant Kilimanjaro, der Flussschifffahrtsstation ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Booked 3 club rooms for 3 separate nights during a multi-stop tour through Kenya. The Stanley and the 1902 lounge were one of the highlights of our trip and we would definitely stay here again and specifically book the club rooms. First of all, the staff were incredible - Emilie, Collins, Benson (1902 lounge butlers), Steve (concierge) and Susan (management) deserve special recognition. They all went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. The 1902 lounge is well worth the upgrade. Soft drinks and snacks during the day, and an incredible happy hour daily from 6-8 with hard drinks and hors d'oeuvres. And if your flight is later the day of checkout, you can use the lounge throughout the day. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. We tried all 3 restaurants during our stay - The Thorn Tree cafe provides an excellent breakfast and is good for lunch. Both the Thai Chi and Pool Deck restaurants were excellent dinner choices. If you are heading on Safari or to Mombasa you can leave the luggage you don't need with the concierge, taking only the things you need for that part of the trip. This makes traveling so much easier. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious and well-appointed. As we returned to the Stanley from one of the legs of our trip, we all remarked that it felt like we were ”coming home”. Would highly recommend.

In der Nähe des Hotels, wenige Autominuten entfernt, befinden sich Einkaufszentren. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls bequem. Nach einem einwöchigen Aufenthalt kann das Hotel ein Auto mieten und es ist sicher auszugehen. Dort ging mir das Geld aus, der Hotelmanager war Chinese und er half auch dabei, den inländischen WeChat-Umtausch von RMB gegen US-Dollar zu akzeptieren. Es war fast ein Gefühl, einen Landsmann zu sehen. Sehr dankbar für die Hilfe des Hotels, sehr menschlich. Ich werde dort bleiben, wenn ich das nächste Mal gehe.

I stayed at Hemak Suites for 2 nights, and overall the place & service is ok. The hotel building is in a very busy part of the city, which doesn’t seem too safe, and the surrounding area does get quite noisy, esp. at night. The reception is on the 4th floor and the restaurant is on the 7th floor of the building. The room I stayed in on the 5th floor was ok. It was clean, & the bed was comfortable enough. However, the bathroom is quite small, & it is open as there is no door. Once you enter the door to the room, the bathroom sink is to the right, then there’s the toilet & shower, but there is no door or shower curtain that separates it from the room. It’s probably ok if you’re solo in the room, but maybe not so much for two people. At night, I could hear loud music from the nearby bars in the area & on the 2nd night, I awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of loud music. But then, there was a power outage so the music stopped but then around 3am the circuit breaker in my room made a loud buzzing sound that had me worried. Needless to say, I couldn’t go back to sleep. The buzzing kept on all morning until the time I left, all the lights were flickering, and of course, the elevator didn’t work since there was no power. I got my stuff ready & left the room, and with little sleep, left the hotel at 6am to head for my Maasai Mara safari. I did notify the front desk about the loud, buzzing breaker in my room & told him that maybe they just need to switch them off with the power out, then check the other rooms. As for the restaurant, the breakfast was good, & they have a good selection of food for lunch & dinner. The staff here was also friendly, as they packed a lunch for me while I visited Nairobi National Park. I would’ve had a better time here if I had gotten some sleep the night before my long drive the next day for my safari, if it wasn’t for the loud, buzzing breaker in the room.
