Petrino Eco Village

Dies ist eine etwas chaotische Bewertung, da wir eigentlich nicht in diesem Resort übernachten sollten. Unsere ursprüngliche Buchung wurde weniger als 24 Stunden vor unserer Ankunft storniert. Ursprünglich war vereinbart, dass wir 2 Nächte in den Petroni Suites verbringen würden. Als wir ankamen, wurden wir von Maria begrüßt und boten Begrüßungsgetränke und Popcorn an. Wir mussten eine Weile warten, um zu unserem ERSTEN Zimmer zu gehen. Nach etwa 20 Minuten und vielen Informationen über unseren chaotischen Aufenthalt gingen wir auf unser Zimmer. Kleines Zimmer im Maisonette-Stil, das renoviert wurde. Moderner und klassischer griechischer Stil und sehr hübsch. Wir hatten einen kleinen Außenbereich, der an Sonnenblumenfelder angrenzte, und das erste, was mir auffiel, waren überall Käfer. Egal, welche Abwehrmittel oder Insektensprays Sie gebissen werden würden. Wir gingen ins Bett und stellten fest, dass wir kein Oberlaken hatten, also klingelte es und es wurde uns sehr schnell eines gebracht. Am nächsten Tag zogen wir in das ZWEITE Zimmer, in dem uns bei der Ankunft mitgeteilt wurde, dass wir 140 € pro Nacht unseres Aufenthalts zahlen würden. Wir kamen in einer gehobenen Maisonette mit Pool- und Gartenbereich an. Super hübsch, aber etwas veraltet und das Zimmer brauchte etwas Arbeit. Das Zimmer war sauber, aber nicht makellos. Mein Freund, der kürzlich ein gebrochenes Bein hatte, hatte wirklich Probleme mit der Treppe zum Schlafzimmer. Und wieder Bugs überall!! Sie scheinen sogar in der Lage zu sein, durch die Schlitze im Dach und die Insektennetze zu kommen. Ich wurde innerhalb von 24 Stunden von Kopf bis Fuß gebissen und nichts konnte sie abstoßen oder den Juckreiz lindern. Nachdem wir mit Maria gesprochen hatten, erfuhren wir, dass wir jetzt 4 Nächte bleiben würden, was mehr als die Hälfte unseres Urlaubs war. Ich war wirklich nicht beeindruckt davon, wie unsere Buchung an beiden Enden gehandhabt wurde, da sie unter derselben Marke stehen. Das Frühstück war gut, sehr traditionell und nicht das übliche englische Frühstück. Viele Getränkeoptionen heiß und kalt. Essen überwiegend kalt mit Zugabe eines lauwarmen Spiegeleis. Hauptsächlich Gebäck, Brot, Donuts und eine kleine Obstauswahl. Was ich aber sagen kann, die Kellnerinnen beim Frühstück/Abendessen sind hervorragend!! Die jungen Mädchen sind so nett und gesprächig und einladend! Der Aufenthalt war schön, aber erwarten Sie, zu Tode gebissen zu werden. Die Bäume singen dort so viele Käfer! Wir wachten zu RIESIGEN Grashüpfer-/Heuschrecke-ähnlichen Dingen auf. Hotel ist sauber, nicht makellos. Der Pool ist schön und entspannend mit vielen Betten. Abends hätte ich mir mehr Unterhaltung gewünscht. Die vier Nächte, die wir dort verbracht haben, war ein Abend mit einem Saxophonisten, der wirklich gut war! Sie müssen weder Geld noch Karten mit sich führen, da alles auf Ihr Zimmer gebucht wird und Sie bezahlen, wenn Sie gehen. Wir gingen jedoch zur Zahlung und bekamen aufgrund der Zimmer mehr als 150 € mehr als das, was wir ursprünglich für unseren Urlaub bezahlt hatten. Ich denke, wir hätten eine Art Rabatt dafür erhalten sollen, dass wir in 7 Tagen das Zimmer wechseln und dreimal umpacken mussten. Ganz ohne eigenes Verschulden. Wir haben ziemlich viel mit Zimmern und Aufenthalten herumgespielt. Empfehlen Sie auf jeden Fall, ein Auto zu mieten, da es nicht viel Lokales zum Hotel gibt. Der nächste Supermarkt war 10 Autominuten entfernt

Charmantes und ruhiges Hotel. Gemütliche Cottages im griechischen Stil, umgeben von einem großen griechischen Garten. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und in unserem Ferienhaus bekamen wir zur Begrüßung einen großen Teller mit frischem Obst. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und dito Personal.

A lovely place, fab staff that are very accommodating. 'On the beach' sell this as a self catering holiday, it isn't. There are no facilities to prepare food, but we were given a toaster and MV. Which helped. My only other moan is the bottom of the pool.

A fabulous holiday.Superb surroundings and incredible staff.Maria at reception was very professional and efficient with a lovely personality. Frodo behind the bar was really great fun and always smiling.Our cleaner Vicky looked after us extremely well.All were a credit to the organisation.So good we have re- booked for a 2025 return.

We have recently returned from a relaxing break to the Halkidiki region and stayed at the fantastic Petrino suites. The staff were amazing throughout the stay, we stayed in our own junior suite that was perfect for a couple. The centre of Afytos is around 15 minutes walk away, or a €5 taxi ride. The sister hotel the white suites has its own private beach, in a brilliant location a shuttle service runs between both sites. If you are looking to visit the region and a quiet and relaxing location to stay then the Petrino Suites is the location for you!

Lovely authentic Greek hotel. We were upgraded on arrival to a new build apartment. We asked to move to the stone built two floor maisonette, which was accommodated the next day. Both rooms were excellent, but we wanted authenticity. Breakfast was excellent, everything you could want, gluten free friends and family were catered for. We didn’t eat evening meal in the restaurant but had we wanted to the staff said they could cater for our dietary needs. We stayed at the hotel a couple of nights, at the pool bar, the menu was varied enough, GF pizza, good pasta dishes, sandwiches and gyros. More expensive than in the village but not exorbitant. Cocktails were a couple of euros more than the village and the beach side hotels. A downside, it was €5 for a pool tower, non refundable, and rechargeable for another if you wanted a clean one. so we bought our own beach sheet in the village for €8. Pool area was lovely, surrounded by gardens, which was beautiful, however, we all got bites, so be prepared. We sprayed repellent but they still got us. Staff were outstanding, nothing was too much, Maria at reception was very helpful and Froza at the pool bar really friendly. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the village where there are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, a church and a nice beach. We utilised the free transfer to the sister hotel on the beach which had sunbeds with mattresses and parasols, free, a gorgeous bar area overlooking the beach and an amazing restaurant serving fresh fish. A lovely authentic hotel.

Let me start by saying I probably would had enjoyed my stay more if I lived in the city and not rurally as this hotel consists of old stone houses with rooms in a quiet countryside setting which is much like my home.The Petrino Suites are situated on a very busy main road about a 15-20 minute walk from Afytos where all the bars,restaurant and life was,so we found it a little remote with overpriced food and drink to match,we used to walk down in the evening and get a taxi back for 5 Euros.I had upgraded to a deluxe maisonette with private pool which on first glance looked idyllic,that was until you had to navigate very steep stairs to the bedroom which were precarious especially after a drink and I am able bodied.The private pool was also a let down as it was full of flies and insects but the main pool was much better and pleasant to swim in.Breakfast was clearly aimed at the continental,pastry loving brigade and fresh fruit was in short supply which I can only put down to the weather.The hotel did offer a daily free shuttle bus to the sister hotel “The White Suites” which is situated on the beach and owned by the same family so we tended to go down there as we found it a much more pleasant setting to a much better standard.All staff we encountered were professional,friendly and were keen to help and the service was spot on.Mosquitoes and flies annoyed me the most but I understand it is out of the hotel’s control so make sure you take copious amounts of repellent and be prepared that you’re out in the sticks.

If you seek authentic, Greek accommodation (as opposed to typical hotel boxes), in a chilled, beautiful environ, this is your place!! Small & intimate, with the most amazing, ever helpful staff (nothing is ever to much trouble)! Located within a short walk of Afitos (away from the tourist mayhem), yet close enough to enjoy it's gastronomy & bars. Their breakfasts can only be described as amazing (& rarely bettered even by 5* hotels)!! An amazing place & couldn't recommend highly enough (having spent a summer Greek Island hopping many years ago I was nervous returning to Greece), I shouldn't have been as this place was like stepping back in time & exceeded all expectations!

Beautiful place, excellent staff, lovely accommodation. Nice walk to the village and beach. Definitely visit the sister hotel White Suites, restaurant is excellent. Bar food was good if you didn’t want to walk into the village, gf options too. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, again gf options, staff were lovely and accommodating. We moved from the new building to the more authentic Greek accommodation, without any problems. Pool area was nice and clean, sunbeds were plenty. Will go back soon.
