Review of Casa Faraona Luxury Residences, Madrid I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Faraona Luxury Residences in Madrid, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and comfort that truly set the tone for our stay. Incredible Room Experience The room we stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. Every detail was meticulously crafted, exhibiting a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The bed was heavenly, adorned with silky sheets that made it feel like a dream. It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. Exceptional Service The service at Casa Faraona was outstanding. The staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, making us feel like valued guests every step of the way. Delicious Breakfast and Free Cocktails One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful spread that catered to every taste, from fresh pastries to hearty options. Additionally, the complimentary cocktails were a lovely touch, allowing us to unwind and enjoy the ambiance of the residence. Prime Location The location of Casa Faraona Luxury Residences couldn’t be better. Nestled in the heart of Madrid, it provided easy access to some of the city’s top attractions, dining, and shopping. We loved being able to explore the vibrant streets and return to our luxurious oasis at the end of the day. In conclusion, Casa Faraona Luxury Residences exceeded all our expectations. With its stunning rooms, impeccable service, delicious breakfast, complimentary cocktails, and prime location, it offers an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to return and make more wonderful memories in this beautiful hotel!

Mein Aufenthalt im Crowne Plaza Hotel war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Der herzliche Empfang, das prächtige Zimmer und der tadellose Service haben mir einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt beschert. Die köstliche Küche und die ideale Lage runden diese empfehlenswerte Adresse ab. Ein großes Dankeschön an das Team für diese Auszeit voller Luxus und Komfort. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen!

We stayed at the hotel for one night and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel is quite large and conveniently located slightly inside from the main street, in a quieter inner area. This actually makes car access very comfortable and convenient. The room itself was great — blackout curtains (which are very important for good sleep), a comfortable mattress, and everything felt clean and well maintained. The service was also good and professional. For a short stay, the price-quality ratio is absolutely fair. Overall, we were satisfied and would consider staying here again.

Ich habe drei aufeinanderfolgende Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und komfortabel. Direkt vor der Tür befand sich ein Supermarkt. Besonders loben möchte ich die Tiefgarage. Die Ein- und Ausfahrt waren sehr breit, sodass große Autos problemlos hineinfahren konnten, und auch der Parkplatz war groß. Einziger Nachteil war die etwas veraltete Ausstattung des Hotels und das zu geringe Duschwasser. Auch das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Alles andere war sehr gut, sauber und der Service gut.

The location of this hotel is very good, close to the train station, but this hotel is relatively old, especially its bed is very uncomfortable, the breakfast is average.

I stayed for one night and needed a clean place to rest, the hostel is near the center and there are many restaurants and coffee shops around the area. The room was clean and I approached having a private bathroom/shower and share it just with my roommate, the area is also quiet at night. I haven't used any of their amenities but they have towels, toothbrushes, slippers,.. if you pay extra, they also have meetings and events. it seems a balance between a chill and party hostel

Excellent stay, just as expected from this brand. I upgraded to a higher floor and bigger room for a small fee and really enjoyed the room; spacious, stylish, spotless, and with very comfortable bedding and pillows. The in-room entertainment was great, with a soundbar for Chromecast/YouTube, plus the option to request a turntable or guitar at no extra cost, which was a fun touch. I didn’t use the pool, bar, or restaurant since I preferred exploring the many great dining options within a 5–10 minute walk. The hotel’s location is good: very walkable to Atocha Station (my main reason for choosing it) and close to the city’s three major museums. For getting into town, buses are generally more convenient as the nearest metro is Line 1; for Line 3 (Lavapiés) it’s a short walk, but the route is lively with plenty of restaurants and bars along the way.

Der Hotelname ist irreführend für Touristen und Taxifahrer. Ich zeigte dem Taxifahrer die von Ctrip angegebene Adresse in Landessprache. (Für diesen Übersetzungsfehler ist Ctrip verantwortlich.) Das Taxi fuhr mich direkt zum Terminal 2 (T2), wo mir der Fahrer versicherte, das Hotel befinde sich direkt unter dem Terminalgebäude. Nach langem Nachfragen rieten mir hilfsbereite Einheimische, den Shuttlebus zum T1 zu nehmen. Erst dort stellte ich fest, dass ich erneut falsch informiert worden war. Ich öffnete die Karte, gab die Hoteladresse ein und entdeckte, dass es etwa 7,5 km vom Flughafen entfernt war – eine 10-minütige Autofahrt. Unglaublich! Ich musste dann ein Taxi vom Flughafen zum Hotel nehmen, was mich weitere 22 Euro kostete. Dadurch verging eine halbe Stunde unnötig. Vom Hotel zum Flughafen gibt es keine öffentlichen Busse, man ist auf ein Taxi angewiesen. Im Verkaufsautomaten des Hotels gab es kein Flaschenwasser (vermutlich ausverkauft), und im Zimmer fehlte ein Wasserkocher. Heißes Wasser konnte man jedoch aus der Kaffeemaschine bekommen.

• The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. • The air conditioning did not have heating, but the blanket was thick enough to keep warm; the temperature that night was around 13°C. • The room was very spacious—enough to fully open two large suitcases on the floor with plenty of space left to walk around. • The bathroom included a hairdryer. • The shower drain seemed slightly clogged, causing slow drainage; we had to keep the water pressure low while showering. • No drinking water was provided in the room, but the front desk informed us that the tap water from the bathroom sink is safe to drink. • There was no kettle in the room, but you can request hot water from the front desk—they kindly provided it from the cafeteria free of charge. • Although the hotel is not located right in the tourist center and isn’t within short walking distance to major attractions, it has excellent transport links: there are both a bus stop and a metro station right outside and around the corner. • It’s very convenient whether you’re arriving from Atocha Station or heading to key destinations like Madrid Royal Palace, Moncloa Bus Terminal (for Segovia express), Plaza Eliptica (for Toledo express), or Estacion de Autobuses Madrid Sur (for Porto overnight bus). • The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of check-out, we left our luggage there for free while we visited Toledo. When we returned around 6:00 PM, they even provided hot water for our instant noodles. We rested in the cafeteria for a few hours before heading to catch our overnight bus to Porto. • Their assistance made our trip much smoother and more comfortable.

This review is not about the €9 breakfast charge. I paid for the breakfast because I had eaten it. This review is about how I was treated afterwards. A simple misunderstanding over breakfast escalated into one of the most unprofessional hotel experiences I have ever had. After I politely suggested that the hotel communicate its breakfast policy more clearly to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future, a staff member, Yansel, began shouting at me from outside the hotel, called me back inside, repeatedly accused me of “trying to play with him,” raised his voice throughout the interaction, claimed that he was the manager, refused my request to speak with the General Manager, and aggressively handled my personal belongings. He pushed and kicked my luggage towards the exit, damaged my bags, repeatedly shouted at me to take my belongings and leave, and I also felt mocked while trying to communicate in English instead of being treated with patience and professionalism. As a solo female traveller, I found this behaviour intimidating and completely unacceptable. Guests should be able to raise feedback respectfully without being shouted at, aggressively confronted, or having their belongings handled in this manner. I later spoke with Raul, who was professional, apologised for the way I had been treated, acknowledged that there had been been a misunderstanding regarding the breakfast, confirmed that I was entitled to leave my luggage after check-out, and informed me that Yansel was not the General Manager or the manager. I appreciate Raul’s professionalism. However, that does not change what happened. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at Hotel Mayerling Madrid. There are many hotels in Madrid where guests can expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. In my experience, this was not one of them. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel safe after the way this situation was handled. For that reason, I cannot recommend this hotel and would encourage other travellers to consider alternative accommodation.
