Das Hotel ist ca. 20-jährig ohne Gebrauchsspuren und top im Schuss. Die Anlage ist oberhalb einer Bucht treppenförmig in einen Hang gebaut. Durch eine kleine Standseilbahn ist jeder Level direkt mit dem tollen Privatstrand am Meer verbunden. Wunderschöne Architektur. Sie verfügt über mehrere grosse Pools und gute Restaurants. Geheimtipp ist das asiatische Restaurant. Nächsten Winter steht offenbar eine Renovation an. Der Staff ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie versuchen einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Wir waren in einem Maisonette-Zimmer mit eigenem, ein wenig zu kaltem Pool und super Aussicht auf die Bucht gebucht. Einziger Minuspunkt ist die extreme Hellhörigkeit aus den Nebenzimmern. Wenn da eine Familie mit schreienden Kindern haust, sofort ausziehen. Was diesbezüglich auch zu erwähnen ist, das Hotel ist auch ein Seminarhotel. Da kann es abends in dem sonst ruhigen Ressort auch mal laut werden. Ein Anruf an die Rezeption beendet dies relativ rasch. Gut zu wissen: Die Halbpension gilt nur im Buffetrestaurant. An den anderen Restaurants wird ein Aufpreis von 26€/P plus ggf. ein Aufpreis für Menüs mit *Kennzeichnung verlangt. Das Personal informiert darüber im Voraus. Wir können das Haus mit ihren liebenswerten Angestellten wärmsten empfehlen. Das Preis:Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Toll dass es diese gelebte Gastfreundschaft heute noch gibt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Enjoyed 8 nights here We had a 1 bed suite which was huge, with a lovely bathroom and separate lounge Food wise was excellent from the lovely breakfasts, daily lunches by the pool and 2 dinners in the evening Service was friendly and very helpful The villas are around an hour from airport (115 € exec transfer), then in taxis 10 mins from Elounda centre (10€), 15-20 from Plaka (15-€) and 20 mins from Ag Nic (16€) The pool was empty most days as people in pool villas stayed around the villas and others went to the beach club. On a couple of days it was a bit noisy, if family’s were playing in pool, but for the majority of time it was great !!! No probs we reserving beds due to amount of people using pool Beachclub ( located just past Domes hotel) - sea was lovely there on our visit Tip is to ask reception how many people have gone down their in the 15 min courtesy bus, as again it can be busy as only 2/3 working at bar restaurant and took us 1 hour to get lunch So in summary lovely villa, great food and we might be back in the future with our girls !!!

Wir sind als grössere Gruppe für einen Kongress angereist. Bei der Anreise wurden wir durchaus freundlich begrüsst, in einer Sofagruppe platziert und dann allein gelassen. Es stellte sich heraus dass die Modernisierung des Hotels verspätet ist, bisher nur ein Teil der Zimmer und vor allem die Homepage in „modernisiert“ ist. Es gab nicht genug Zimmer für alle Mitglieder unserer Reisegruppe, dies hatte man uns vorher jedoch nicht mitgeteilt und uns einfach anreisen lassen. Mit einem vermeintlichen Upgrade wollte man uns in einen Bungalow mit Privatpool platzieren. Ich habe seit Studentenzeiten nicht mehr so ein mieses Zimmer gesehen. Die Tapete löste sich von den Wänden die Möbel waren beschädigt, das Zimmer war schmutzig und es stank nach Schimmel. Wir haben uns geweigert dieses Zimmer zu beziehen und haben daraufhin eine vermeintliche Suite zu gewiesen bekommen. Auch dieses Zimmer entspricht nicht dem Standard der auf der Homepage dargestellt wird und auch nicht dem Zimmer, dass wir gebucht haben. Die Möbel sind ebenfalls alt und funktionieren teilweise nicht, es fehlen Spiegel, es hat Wasserflecken an den Wänden und der Vorhang ist kaputt. Gut ist, dass die Betten bequem sind. Auch der Service entspricht in keinster Weise einem Fünfsternehotel. Die meisten Angestellten haben an unserem Anreisetag ebenfalls den ersten Arbeitstag gehabt. Es sind alle freundlich aber schnell überfordert. Das Buffet ist übersichtlich die Qualität der Speisen mittelmässig. Insgesamt ist es eine grosse Enttäuschung und ich würde nie wieder in dieses Hotel fahren. Ich finde es ehrlich gesagt auch an der Grenze von Betrug, uns wesentlich um die fehlenden Zimmer anreisen zu lassen.

Ich war für eine Nacht und hatte das Hotel aufgrund der Lage und des Preises gewählt. Insgesamt habe ich 3 Rezeptionsmitarbeiter kennengelernt und alle waren extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kam schon um 13.00 Uhr an und konnte sogar schon aufs Zimmer. Dies war definitiv neu renoviert und im maritimen Stil hübsch eingerichtet. Für eine Nacht vollkommen ausreichend und mit einem kleinen Balkon - obwohl zu Straße super ruhig. Der Pool im Innenhof ist ganz nett und auch das Frühstück war zwar einfach aber soweit alles da, was man benötigt. Die Lage ist perfekt und man ist direkt um die Ecke vom Strand mit vielen netten Restaurants und auch zur Innenstadt und dem berühmten See ist es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang. Es war aber definitiv nicht möglich zu Duschen ohne das Bad unter Wasser zu setzen :)

I am genuinely so happy I chose this hotel, it’s completely exceeded my expectations. I come away for a peaceful holiday and honestly was so pleased with everything from the location, to the cleanliness of the hotel, the food and the staff are absolutely incredible and super lovely! I cannot wait to be back here in the area and this hotel, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to relax, there are plenty of shops around, restaurants, there’s a small market I managed to walk by and the beach is literally less than a minute walk! The beach is lovely, it’s sandy and overall gorgeous, it does get busy tho. There are a few other beaches close by which I had walked to but the closest one is definitely the best. I genuinely think this hotel deserves the recognition, im so pleased with my holiday, thank you to every staff member for making it so easy and relaxing for myself, I will be back one day ❤️

Just spent a very enjoyable week at this friendly hotel. Room 208 was clean, had a comfortable bed, loads of storage, very efficient shower and a fantastic view of the bay. Special thanks to the staff who really seemed to want our stay to be special. Nicos looked after us at the bar before bed, Jeanette made great cocktails, generally kept us entertained and gave useful advice on the local area. Sally kept everything running smoothly at breakfast and is doing a great job looking after poorly local cats. The cheerful ladies in the kitchen made sure that breakfast was different every day with their tasty homemade pastries, jams and more. The garden is well tended with a variety of plants and trees. The pool is warm, never crowded, always with spare sunbeds in the shade and sun. Thanks also to our cleaner who kept our room spotlessly clean. All in all a great little hotel. On the down side, it is quite a walk into Agios Nikolaos...I would say closer to half an hour than 15 minutes. Especially in the heat. The sunbeds on the nearest beach are expensive and it is quite noisy and crowded. Though you can swim closer. The first part of the walk is on a narrow uneven pavement by a busy road. Not ideal at night. It would be good if the hotel sold big packs of water as they are very heavy on a hot day. Our check in experience was efficient but not particularly welcoming. However we would still thoroughly recommend the Lato and its lovely staff.

Super location right on the water, and right near shopping, and the men at reception were both helpful and kind… However, our room had no view of ANYTHING even though we were right next to the water.💧 The room had a few problems: as a three-person suite it was just a regular room with a cot added. It was very tight for the three of us, The toilet 🚽 never worked properly throughout our stay. We had a small terrace that we had to share with two other rooms on one side, and the other side of the room faced out to the common area, so it was quite loud at night. At least it was fairly cheep 🤔

Very relaxed apartments, private pool and view to die for. I loved the whole experience. So chilled, staff available if you need anything but are non-interfering, which I liked as have stayed in a neighbouring apartment complex and found it quite overwhelming and cliquey, if you wanted to keep to yourself. The pool area is really nice and sometimes we had the pool to ourselves. Cute little cat would pop by. Good balcony area looking at the view, essential appliances available. We ate out every day so didn't really need much. Also can't comment on the breakfast but other guests appeared to enjoy it. Fab area, easy access to Agios Nikolaos and Elounda. Nice tavernas close by. Yvonne from reception was very approachable and helpful. Only downside was leaving.

The hotel is situated in a great location along the seafront. However, it needs an urgent refurbishment as it is very tired and dated. The bathroom in our room was poor and very basic. All the staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was adequate.

Wonderful stay! Not far from the city center, the pools are nice and the staffs are friendly. Breakfast was so good and they even have live musician playing for dinner. Amazing, would definitely recommend to others! Bus station is just ten minutes away from the hotel. Very easy to get here from Agios Nikolaos station. The bus costs only 7.8€ from Héraklion city. Loved every single second of my stay!

Absolutely fantastic a return visit after a gap of 45 years . Clean room basic cooking facilities and a bathroom with great shower and hot water all the time. Beds comfortable and a peaceful location right on the water edge short walk into town the area is a bit quiet but plenty if amenities in town try the market for your fresh fruit and veg fantastic Owners are amazing so welcoming and accommodating the little taverna opened for the season a few days after our arrival good basic food fresh and tasty I think it will be very popular during summer. I would not hesitate in returning or recommending which I already have done keep it up folks amazing .

Also wir haben für 3 Personen (Mama,Papa, Kind), Halbpension 11 Tage mit Meeresblick fast 5.100 Euro bezahlt...5 Sterne Hotel und dann erfährst du, dass du beim einchecken (30 Grad Außentemperaturen) nur eine Flasche Wasser kostenlos bekommst und danach jede andere Flasche 3 Euro...das ist zwar eine Kleinigkeit, aber unschön... * Achtung! Für die Urlauber, die für Internet Verbindungen extra bezahlen müssen...WiFi verliert die Verbindung und muss immer wieder neu verbunden werden, ansonsten laufen die Kosten für dein Urlaub über deinen Netz Anbieter auch weiter und weiter. Keine sichere Wege bzw. Verbindungen zum Meer...keine Ausschilderung, kein Ampeln, keine offizielle Übergangszone bzw. Fußgängerzone Richtung Strand. Dadurch auf Weg zum Meer: * Achtung! Eltern mit Kindern, schön an der Hand halten! Das Verkehr ist sehr intensiv und chaotisch. Die Küche ist zwar ausreichend, aber ich hätte gern auf eine Insel mehr Fisch Gerichte oder Meeresfrüchte :) auf gar keinen Fall 5 Sterne Hotel Niveau, ganz normales Buffet, nichts außergewöhnliches (vorallem wenn man 500 Euro pro Nacht zahlt) * Im Hotel gibt's kein Programm für Kinder und selbst die tiefe vom Pool nicht für Kinder unter 1.50 m Größe geeignet. Die erste vernünftige Taverne ist am Straßenrand (Hauptstraße) ca. 500 Meter...ansonsten muss man viel weiter laufen oder Taxi nehmen um was geeignetes zu erreichen. * Für die Pärchen die ohne Kind einreisen wollen gibt's es kaum was, wo man die Zeit zur zweit verbringen kann...keine Restaurants, Taverne, Klubs um die Ecke. * Fazit: Ihr zahlt nur für das Bauwerk/Hotel, aber nicht für das Gesamtkonzept was man im Urlaub erwarten kann...leckere, außergewöhnliche Küche (wenn man fast 500 Euro pro Nacht zahlt) keine sichere Verbindungen zum Strand, keine Kinderprogramme, außen Pool ist nicht für Kinder unter 12 geeignet, keine Taverne oder Restaurants, keine Bars oder Clubs in der Nähe. * Anreise: Sie landen im Flughafen Heraklion, wo auch katostrofalle Umstände Sie erwarten...wir saßen fast 1,5 Stunde im Flugzeug, danach fast 1 Stunde auf die Koffer gewartet, weil kaum Personal da ist, die ganze Zeit wartest du im Stehen und ohne Klimaanlage. Beim Rückflug das selbe Szenario...im Flieger fast 1 Stunde auf Start Erlaubnis gewartet...

Ideal gelegen auf Itron Bay, nahe Voulisma Beach, Agios Nikolaos, Eloundao oder Ierapetra erreichen Sie mit dem Boot Chrissi Island. Wir haben dort eine ganze Woche in einem wunderschönen Zimmer mit Blick auf Itron Bay verblieben! Ein schöner Blick! Die Unterkunft war bemerkenswert wert für einen 5-Sterne-Unterkunft! 🙏🙏 Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und mit viel Auswahl. Das Hotel organisierte uns ein Abendessen im Golf für eine große Gelegenheit, das war Fantastisch! 🙏😁Danke für Ihr Empfang, Ihre Großzügigkeit und Ihre Begrüßung ... Wir werden sicher zurückkommen!!
