The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! One of the finest properties in Nepal — perfect location, beautiful ambience, and excellent amenities. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request. We stayed for a birthday celebration, and their thoughtful service made it truly special. If you’re looking to create unforgettable memories, this 5-star resort is the place to be.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, fantastisches Frühstück, die Mitarbeiterkooperation überall war ausgezeichnet. Dieses Hotel ist nicht ein vier-Sterne-Hotel nach der nepalischen Gastfreundschaft ...it zeigt deutlich, dass es ein drei-Sterne-Hotel ist und alle Einrichtungen mit drei-Sterne oder unten verbunden sind. Die Zimmer sind klein, wenn es gut ist, mit einem Paar oder mit einer Freundin zu bleiben, aber wenn es mit zwei Personen zu bleiben, ist es sehr schwierig, sich zu bewegen und das Gepäck zu halten, und andere Dinge. Die Fenster sind befestigt und können nicht geöffnet werden. Ich werde noch einmal sagen, dass das Personal fantastisch war.

Die Hotelflächen sind schön und der Service sowie das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr alt und klein (nachdem wir dies mit der Rezeption verändert haben konnten). Die Lage ist in Thamel und das Eingehen in die Nähe Attraktionen ist bequem

This place is such a gem. Take slightly more than an hour direct from the Kathmandu airport. The views from the hotel is breathtaking. The room was clean and big enough for 2 pax. I like the balcony where i could just sit to take in the views and gaze at the stars at night. Bathroom was impeccably clean and the towels are really good. I participated in their morning hike organized by the hotel. The 1 hour i wished would lasted longer. We got a glimpse of the life around Nagarkot with amazing vistas. I must commend all the staffs at the hotel. Top notch service from everyone. With smile and very friendly. Special mention of Binod who has been very attentive in his service.

Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Baudha Apart Hotel The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community. The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will. And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.
