Hotels mit Frühstück in Dorset, Vereinigtes Königreich

The location is great, just a ten min walk from the beach, or a five min walk to get a ten min bus to Boscombe or Bournemouth (although these only go every half hour, seem to always be late and stop running by 6.30pm so plan carefully, or take a stress free taxi ride instead - just £6 to Boscombe).  The hotel is clean and tidy, but the reception staff I met were sullen and unhappy to help, the beds we had were awful (feel every spring, I padded it with two quilts to be able to sleep, luckily it was very hot so we didn’t need them) and unfortunately our window was broken so I couldn’t shut the noise of people entering/leaving the hotel directly below the window out. However, the man sent to try to fix the window was extremely polite and helpful, and respectful of my request to be really quiet and softly spoken around my autistic son who was trying to get to sleep. And he fixed the window.  Luckily we were only staying for one night, so despite the painful bed, I would come back for another cheap, brief stay.

Ein paar Mängel in den Türmen, aber insgesamt war es für mich toller „Budget-Luxus“ in einer wirklich praktischen Lage. Schönes altes Hotel, schöner Barbereich mit Blick auf die Gärten. Bequeme Chesterfield-Lounges und manchmal Live-Musik und Tanz. Verwinkelte Flure und Treppen. Ihr Zimmer könnte also ein Stück weit zu Fuß entfernt sein, durch lustige kleine Flure um Ecken und Treppen, also überprüfen Sie dies, bevor Sie den Check-in-Schalter verlassen! Viele Leute hatten Probleme, ihr Zimmer zu finden. Dann waren die Schlüsselkarten mehrmals nicht richtig programmiert, sodass ich zurück zum Schreibtisch und zurück ins Zimmer gehen musste. Aber abgesehen davon, dass ich etwas Schimmel von einer Wand wischen musste … insgesamt war ich mit dem Aufenthalt und der Lage zufrieden, da ich auf Trip.com ein gutes Angebot für 35 £ pro Nacht bekommen habe. Und sie haben mein Zimmer von einem Zimmer ohne Fenster (ist das überhaupt legal? Ein Zimmer ohne Fenster zu verkaufen) auf ein kleines Doppelzimmer mit zu öffnendem Fenster und Bad aufgewertet. Also war ich zufrieden. Es gibt keine Zimmerreinigung, also müssen Sie bei einem Aufenthalt von ein paar Tagen das Housekeeping oder die Rezeption um mehr Zubehör bitten. Zum Abschluss meiner Küstenwanderung liegt dieses Hotel 25 Minuten mit dem Bus oder 15 Minuten mit dem Zug von Poole entfernt. Es liegt direkt neben Bournemath Beach, der Promenade und dem Pier in Bournemouth an den Buslinien 5, M1 und M2. Nehmen Sie vom Bahnhof den Bus Nr. 5, der Sie nur wenige Meter vor der Tür auf der Bath Road absetzt. Für eine Küstenwanderung fährt Bus 50 vom oberen Ende der Bath Road nach Swanage für 2 £, einschließlich der Fährüberfahrt in Sandbanks. Danach können Sie bei Bedarf einen weiteren Bus nach Durdle Door nehmen. Überprüfen Sie die Busfahrpläne. Die Fährüberfahrt von Shell Bay nach Sandbanks ist kostenlos oder kostet 1 £ in einer anderen Direktverbindung (Sandbanks nach Shell Bay). Ich bin vom Bath Spa Hotel entlang der Strandpromenade nach Sandbanks gelaufen. Wirklich ein schöner langer Spaziergang. Das Hotel bietet ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet für 12 £ und ein durchschnittliches Abendbuffet (an dem Abend, an dem ich dort war) für 15 £. Es gab genug leckere Sachen, um es für mich lohnenswert zu machen. Kommen Sie früh, da sie aufhören, das Essen aufzufüllen, wenn nicht viel los ist und die Sachen ausgehen. Es ist ein schönes Ambiente zum Essen mit Blick auf schöne Rasenflächen und einen Loungebereich im Freien. Das Personal im Essbereich war wirklich nett und hilfsbereit und fröhlich. Ich habe den Pool und den Whirlpool nicht benutzt, aber sie sahen in einem separaten Wintergarten-Außenbereich toll aus. Einige Mitarbeiter waren in ihrem Service 5-Sterne-Klasse, eine Bardame war fast unhöflich und sehr wenig hilfsbereit, als ich nach Wein fragte, sagte sie nur „Ich weiß nicht“ und verwies mich nicht auf die Getränkekarte, bis ich ein paar weitere Fragen stellte und sie schließlich sagte „Ja, dort an der Bar“, als ob ich das hätte wissen müssen. Der Rest des Personals war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, nachdem ich ein paar Tage geblieben war. Das Hotel ist riesig und ein bisschen wie ein Kaninchenbau. Ein Zimmer, das sie mir gaben, war 21 Stufen hoch und ich sagte, dass ich auf keinen Fall meinen großen Koffer da hochschleppen würde, also änderte sie es problemlos in ein Stockwerk mit Aufzug. Überprüfen Sie also diese Details und akzeptieren Sie nicht, womit Sie unzufrieden sind, sonst versuchen sie, damit durchzukommen, wenn sie können. Bleiben Sie standhaft.

A very pleasant stay & great hospitality + BIG thanks to Raj for the lovely breakfast

I was originally allocated a signature family room on the second, room 213 but when I entered the room the beds were unmade and there were lots of dirty towels in the bathtub, this was at 16:30 and all the chambermaids had gone home ! I immediately informed the hotel staff and was allocated a smaller double room on the third floor, room 308, which had a great sea view, but was very hot and the water pressure in the bathtub and the shower was next to nothing, as it driped out slowly ! Not to mention the loud banging doors ! I had to keep the fan on all the time otherwise I could of fainted ! Be careful when booking with this hotel, but still good value for money !

Das Hotel ist sehr gut, stilvoll und sauber mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Das Zimmer ist topklasse und das Bett ist komfortabel.

Booked this hotel as I stayed before in some Ibis hotels. When came to check in the person from reception asked us to wait until he checks the room.( it was around 4pm)? I assume room was meant to be checked before. Took him about 10 minutes or so. Took the keys room was nice, comfy, minimalistic If i can say so.(i would have a mini fridge). In about 20 minutes while we weregeting ready to go out AC stared to lick quite badly. When went downstairs told the same person at the reception he only nodded ( I mentioned as its for the interest of the hotel as everything is geting wet, floor, wall). After we came back, enetered the room was quite hot as the AC was off. Couldn't turn on, tried to contact reception through the WhatsApp number that is offered in the room ( saying phones are such a 1980's), no one answered after about half an hour tried to call the same number, again no answer. Tried to call the hotel, went through the AI. Went downstairs in the end to ask how to turn on the AC. Person at the reception said it is off from them and he can turn it on for me, which he did. After about 1 hour i had to go downstairs back to ask to turn it off as the water dripping was getting on my nerves and the AC could not be turned down either from the room. At least I was given a fan that helped to solve the issue, and I was told to complain in the morning if I need. Another thing I want to mention is that therr is no ice in the hotel, as when i went downstairs and asked for it been told they dont have any, neither fridge is available in the room. So my fathers treat away was unfortunately ruined by the hospitality of the hotel. At least weather was good.

Double sea view room with balcony. Spacious bedroom with nice seating area. Clean and in good decorative order. Comfy bed, quality linen. Wonderful, original metal-framed window and French door opening out onto huge balcony. Unfortunately, the sea view tuned out to be when looking left from the end of the balcony and not from the actual bedroom. Kettle needed descaling. Bathroom well appointed, nice towels and quality Elemis toiletries, but would benefit from a really thorough deep clean and a lick of paint. Absolutely fabulous public rooms, not ‘dated’, as some reviews suggest, but furniture and fixtures appropriately in keeping with the style and period of the building. Wonderful! Beautiful outdoor pool area and indoor spa. Lots of outdoor seating areas. Extensive woodland to the rear of the hotel. Just a few minutes walk to Knoll Beach, through the hotel’s extensive grounds (which includes tennis courts and a golf course) just over the road. Absolutely no information provided about any of these brilliant amenities, or indeed anything at all, in our bedroom. Also, no information about Wi-Fi, no information about breakfast times, no information about how to even contact Reception on the telephone provided in the room … The food at the evening meal was exceptional but was let down by the very slow service as staff focused on setting tables for the following day’s breakfast - which turned out to be so disappointing that it was hard to believe that both meals had originated from the same kitchen.

Great location and service…so lovely to see this hotel continuously grow, and offer more as the years go by.  The staff are so helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My only gripe would be the food menus at both the restaurant and bar area. It’s rather limited and it would have been nice to see a more expanded range of light bite meals for lunch. Lack of sunbeds was also a little disappointing too.

Location was excellent, hotel room, lobby and pool were very clean and comfortable, room was spacious, bright, with comfortable beds, Bathroom was good . POOL was very good and nice to have this in hotel. Breakfast was excellent with vast variety of different options, we enjoyed this .

I had read the reviews so I was not expecting much. All the staff appear to work really hard. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is really grubby and in much need of new carpets, redecoration and maintenance. (Sorry you maintenance guys, it might be a case of not enough hours in a day). Its NOT good enough to say ”there is only one pump” when no water comes out of the shower and then its brown for several minutes! I believe the pool is a new addition but why let the weeds grow up around it? The room was disappointing, my clothes hangers kept falling out of the holes and my clothes were then laying in the bottom of the wardrobe. I requested some hangers from reception, but no hangers existed? It was recommended that I book a table for dinner, I opted for 7pm and the steak. Forty minutes later it was still being chased up! Chatting around the pool it appears two people can stay for £80 per night but I was charged £133 with breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and barely warm. I visited the hotels in the group and they are by far better. I will not recommend this hotel or stay again!
