Mein Partner und ich waren von diesem Hotel begeistert! Es ist super praktisch gelegen, man kann das Hotel direkt vom Flughafen über einen sicheren Gehweg betreten. Es war sehr schön und sehr sauber. Das Personal war auch sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ich habe die meiste Zeit im Intercontinental Hotel neben dem Flughafen übernachtet, aber jetzt kann ich sagen, dass ich das City Lodge at OR Tambo immer dem Intercontinental at OR Tambo vorziehen werde!

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. To get to the hotel from the airport, go to the arrival hall, follow the sign to Bus Terminal and walk past the car rental offices to reach the bus terminal. The shuttle to the hotel comes every 15 minutes. My room is clean and quiet. Hot water is quite fast from the hot water tap. WiFi is easily accessible in the room and is stable. The breakfast (6-10am) is excellent with English breakfast items (egg, bacon, sausages, beans, toast), continental breakfast items (cold cuts, cheese, bread), salad, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, juices, etc. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Schönes kleines Hotel in der Nähe des Flughafens. Es gibt Shuttlebusse, die alle 30 Minuten fahren. Das Personal an der Rezeption und das Personal im Allgemeinen ist nett und höflich und versucht, entgegenzukommen und zu helfen. Das Einzige, was man hören konnte, war das Wasser, das laut aus dem Stockwerk darüber durch die Rohre lief, und das war ein wenig irritierend. Ich konnte jedoch gut schlafen und habe diesen kurzen Aufenthalt genossen.

Отель отличный, внутри дизайнерский интерьер. Для автомобиля есть охраняемая парковка. В отеле есть спа, водоём и бассейн и многое другое. Вы можете пользоваться инфраструктурой. Если берёте номер с завтраком и ужином, то будьте внимательны, ужин на номер 800 ZAR, завтрак на номер 450 ZAR. Если возьмёте больше этой стоимости, то Вам придется доплатить! Wi-Fi работает хорошо, без проблем.В номере нам не хватало только тапочек.

Ich war von Johannesburg nach Shanghai, als ich den Service angerufen habe, und sie bestellten einen Taxi, um mich zu holen. Zuerst war meine Karte abschwächend, aber sie waren so geduldig, bis die Zahlung durchlief. Sie waren sehr nett, und der Service war großartig. Jedes Mal, wenn ich Johannesburg besuche, werde ich dort bleiben. Die Wohnung hatte zwei separate Schlafzimmer, aber ich benutzte nur eine, zusammen mit einer Küche und Wohnzimmer geeignet für zwei Familien. Ich genossen wirklich meinen Aufenthalt.

My husband arrived early at the hotel (7am) , tired and exhausted after a long flight and staff were not helpful with getting him into the room atleast a little earlier than the check-in time or offered any other available room , he was told to wait until 2pm to check into his room .
Also , he asked for a halal meal when calling room service and they just told him they don’t have anything , instead of offering an alternative .
I really hope that in future , the service of this hotel would be more helpful .

Everything was Good. Pick up from the airport in a free shuttle every 30 minutes. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room small but neat, Good for just 1 night. For longer I would have choosen a larger room with a fridge. Nice facilities on the premises for eating out and shopping. Interesting exhibition on the history of democracy in SA.

GGastnutzerUpon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside.
After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay.
The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message.
From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable.
Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary.
The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm.
The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens.
Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat.
Overall, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel offers an exceptional blend of luxury, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality. My stay in the Villa Suite was unforgettable, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone seeking a refined and restorative escape in Johannesburg.

BBrougleIch hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, in diesem wunderschönen Hotel zu übernachten, und ich muss sagen, es hat alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Vom Moment meiner Ankunft an war ich von seiner hervorragenden Lage, dem erstklassigen Service und der allgemeinen Gastfreundschaft beeindruckt.
Die Lage des Hotels war einfach hervorragend. Es war günstig gelegen und ermöglichte einen einfachen Zugang zu nahe gelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Annehmlichkeiten. Egal, ob ich die Stadt erkunden oder mich auf ein Safari-Abenteuer begeben wollte, die zentrale Lage des Hotels machte es zu einem perfekten Ausgangspunkt für meine Reisen.
Der Service des Hotelpersonals war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Von der herzlichen Begrüßung beim Einchecken bis zur aufmerksamen Unterstützung während meines gesamten Aufenthalts fühlte ich mich wirklich umsorgt. Das Personal tat alles, um sicherzustellen, dass alle meine Bedürfnisse erfüllt wurden, einschließlich des besonderen Gefallens, mir zu erlauben, meinen Koffer dort zu lassen, während ich auf Safari war. Ihre Flexibilität und entgegenkommende Art wurden sehr geschätzt.

GGastnutzerIch habe vor kurzem ein paar Nächte geblieben, und insgesamt war es eine durchschnittliche Erfahrung. Der Eincheckungsprozess war reibungslos und das Personal war freundlich, was ich geschätzt habe. Allerdings könnte das Zimmer selbst ein wenig aktualisiert worden sein. Während es sauber war, schien die Möbel etwas verbraucht, und das Badezimmer, obwohl funktional, hatte einige kleine Probleme wie ein leckhafter Fächer.
Das Bett war bequem genug, aber ich fand es etwas harter als ich es vorziehen. Die Hotelausstattung war standardEs gab ein Fitnessraum und ein kleines Pool, obwohl ich auch nicht Zeit hatte zu benutzen. Das Wi-Fi funktionierte gut, und ich habe während meines Aufenthalts keine Probleme mit der Klimaanlage oder Heizung.
Eines, was herauskam, war die Lage. Es war ziemlich bequem für meine Bedürfnisse, in der Nähe von wenigen Restaurants und Geschäften, aber nicht zu speziell. Ich hatte gehofft, etwas mehr vom Hotelrestaurant zu erreichen, da das Menü etwas begrenzt war und das Essen nur ok war.
Kurz gesagt, es war kein schlechter Aufenthalt, aber es hat mich auch nicht weggeschlagen. Wenn Sie nur einen Ort suchen, um zu schlafen, ohne etwas außergewöhnliches zu erwarten, wird dieses Hotel die Arbeit tun.
