We arrived to check in quite late in the evening but were met with a very warm and efficient welcome. Friendly staff, great rooms with comfortable beds and fresh decor throughout the whole building.
Delicious well cooked and presented breakfast with freshly prepared hot food, many cereal and fruit options, fresh coffee, tea and juices.
Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A gem of a hotel, tucked away on the University Campus. Lovely furnishings, excellent food at reasonable prices, beautiful bar and restaurant. We’ll be using this one again.
I had a pleasant stay here with my family.
We stayed for pleasure/business off-base, and from the moment we arrived, the reception to the domestic has been brilliant and helpful. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Leisure facilities and areas were all clean and tidy, very appealing. Leonardo Hotel taught of everything, so you can pack light, all necessities were provided and in vast quantity, Thank you, Leonardo!
The centre of the stairway also gives a cruise ship vibes (I will add pics), which I thought was brilliant, and have I mentioned the breakfast. Now, this is the first hotel I've been to where i see they offered takeaway supplies (containers, tea cups) for people on the go, SPLENDID IDEA, and the breakfast was lovely.
The overall aspect for me was the ambience, which flows through the entire property. Every room you enter gives that tranquil feeling, from the low lighting to the smooth melody, it makes breakfast feel like I'm in a 6* restaurant.
I recommend this place for anyone, it is also great for kids, my kids (1, 16, 9) enjoyed it, especially the pool.
I will definitely come back!!!
Positives,
- You can order breakfast as room service using a card and hanging it on the door. What we did order was good so I would say the breakfast buffet is good.
- check in was quick and easy.
- apart from the coffee being in a teabag the other complimentary items were good which included biscuits and hot chocolate.
- it's always a bonus to have a fridge in the room.
- The room was nice spacious and clean. Easy to get ready in (lighting, mirrors, plugs ect)
A few things sadly that I disliked about this hotel.
- Parking, when I was booking the hotel it showed that there was free on site parking. I did query this with the receptionist who wasn't very helpful with her answer and just said it's full. Then suggested one of the hotels nearby that charge per hour.
- our shower kept changing temperature which I did struggle with trying to wash my hair.
- Our room was an adjoining room which I would prefer not to have had, I understand this may be the last room available but I feel it should be mentioned upon checkin.
- The bathroom was more of a constant wet room as there was nothing to dry the floor with after using a shower. A squidgy would be a great addition to the accessible rooms.
- The room service line was constantly engaged.
- you can screen mirror to their TVs.
- last thing for those that care about their health and wellbeing, the sheets are made from 100% polyester so high exposure to micro plastics while you sleep.
I’d stay there again because the bed was larger and more comfortable than the hotel I usually stay at on my annual trip to see family. Room was clean. The downsides: We arrived at around 11:30 and they wouldn’t check us in until after 12, I get that this is policy but other hotels in the city are flexible and we’d been travelling 20 hours. Also the air con in the room didn’t work and it was very hot for the UK so had a bit of trouble sleeping. They said they’d take a look and gave us a fan because I guess they couldn’t do anything but it didn’t quite cut it…
My stay at the Marriott Leicester was genuinely enjoyable and exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially liked the calm atmosphere—it felt like a proper break. The location was also ideal, close to Fosse Park and the motorway, but still peaceful. Overall, the Marriott Leicester felt like a perfect mix of comfort and class.
Disappointingly the WORST room I have ever stayed in.
I had read reviews that the place was dated, but my bathroom door had literally fallen off its hinges. You can overlook a bit of dated decor, but my room was absolutely filthy. You could see the dirty and dust build up on furniture like the armchair, someone’s sock was in the fireplace, cobwebs and spiders in corners and under furniture, ***** on the loo seat and black mould and mildew in the bathroom. I even saw silverfish running across the bed!
Bedroom amenities were very minimal also, but the cherry on the cake was having to listen to the bar staff discussing vomiting and diarrhoea while waiting for my dinner.
Such a shame as the location is lovely.

PPeter alan wilkinsonThe accommodation was clean, the usual kettle, coffee and Tea was provided. Water was provided via a carefree ( flip open bottle with a stopper ). Not sure the tap water in the room was safe but the water supplied was good which was handy as you could not fill the kettle from the wash basin , which was small in size.
My room had a walk in shower but it was in the shape of a quarter circle with the doors closing in the centre. If you were a large person getting in or out it was a squeeze. Towels, soap and shampoo provided but the satchels were difficult to open. Scissors or a sharp knife would be needed or very strong fingers lol. The bathroom was clean however there was an aroma maybe from the stench pipe but all in all it met my needs. Access was from a side door which you could unlock with the keys given to you when you book in at the bar. Be mindful all rooms are one floor up, the stairs are steep with one handrail so if you are disabled don't book here.
Zowie was the lady in charge, polite, helpful and freindly but sadly the opening times of the bar are limited. Open from 12 midday to 10pm Mon to Friday and longer on Saturday and Sunday. They obviously do a good Sunday lunch as I arrived Sunday and the place was heaving with customers. Never got a chance to sample their cuisine , breakfast was in a cafe about 2 minutes walk away. I was out early and back late hence I did not eat there.
Parking is free, but if you arrive Sunday the carpark will be full up with hungry customers.
There was a housekeeper who would tidy the room, change the towels but the bedlinen is not changed daily.
Overall the stay there was good however as there is no breakfast included it borders on being a little overpriced.
GGastnutzerI stayed here with another friend as we were on a hen night in Quorn. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room was a really good size and so quiet, I had a great sleep, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good although you had to pay £5 if you wanted a cooked breakfast which we hadn’t realised. Not expensive though. Overall very good value for what we paid

GGastnutzerTo customer service. My partner and l stayed at the Bosworth Hall hotel whilst travelling north for an overnight stay to break our journey and get refreshed to continue our journey. Sadly although the staff were amicable and the site was good we got very little sleep as there was hard noise through the night and early morning. This was acceptable but the bathroom facilities were unacceptable. There was very little water pressure so we could not shower and when inspected the pipe had obviously been faulty and leaking prior to our visit but the pipe had been wrapped with electrical insulation tape and the pressure reduced so it didn,t blow the tape off when used. It was a poor advert for a high class hotel. I attach a photo of the pipe. Also l expect you to make recompense to me. Regards Jacob Thomlinson.
