"Brilliant hotel right in the town centre, easy to find just off the motorway. The swimming pool was lovely and warm with good showers and lockers. The breakfast was superb with as much as you can eat. The view from our lovely with green grass and trees. We would love to come back."

"We visited Lion Quays on a midweek night away - I have wanted to try the hotel for a while. The receptionist was very friendly on arrival but warned us that the lift was broken that day. She offered help with our bags - which we declined. But we would have struggled if we had poor mobility as we were on the top floor. We were in room 312 with a view of the canal which was lovely. However there was a hole worn in the top cover on the bed - it didn't affect us but it looked bad. We noticed alot of the furniture in the hotel was worn - particularly in the dining room where the seats and arms were bald. We had a sandwich and a beer out on the patio before we visited the leisure club which we had been looking forward to. The steam room was out of order and closed and the light in the rustic sauna was not working although it was open. Since it was mid August - this was pretty disappointing. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel- instead going to Henlle Heights nearby for a fantastic Indian meal. We slept well in the room, the bed felt very soft but was really comfy. There was a fan provided but we didn't use it. The following morning we discovered the lift had been fixed. We really enjoyed breakfast, a fine selection of hot and cold options to help yourself and spent some time sitting out near the canal with our coffees which was super relaxing. We did like Lion Quays and we would return however there just seemed to be a few rough edges which came across as lack of care which was a real shame."

"Das Hotel ist ein wenig müde und braucht Renovierung an Orten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, vor allem angesichts der Tatsache, dass sie auf NYE arbeiten müssen! Das Zimmer war warm, die Bettwäsche/Wäsche waren sauber und das Frühstück war gut. Wir konnten während unseres Aufenthalts nicht mit WiFi verbinden, bis wir im Park waren bereit zu verlassen"

"Room is nice and clean. Location is great, just next to the main road. Carpark is not free, charges £5 if not booking the room through their website. Rmb not to buy their breakfast, it’s just breakfast boxes that can be bought cheaper at the hotel. It is also convenient to just have breakfast at restaurants next to the hotel. There’s no lift, so need to take luggage upstairs."

"Perfect stay for ehat we needed , furniture in our room alittle old and outdated , kettle had limescale around funnel but we didn't need to use it, but the was clean . Continental breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, also bacon, scrambled eggs and beans included. Staff very helpful, I would book to stay again ."

"Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Minuten vom Autobahnhof entfernt und ist ziemlich einfach zu finden. Nach Ankunft/Check-in wurden wir von unserer Zimmernummer und unsere Schlüsselkarte informiert, aber keine Informationen wurden gegeben. d.h. (Check-out Zeiten, Frühstückszeiten, irgendwelche Bar-/Restaurant- Details, Details des Pools/ Fitnesscenter. Wir mussten zurück und nach der Rezeption durch die Ausfahrt gehen, um die Informationen zu erhalten, die wir benötigten. Glücklicherweise waren die Mitarbeiter freundlich und willkommen, was ihnen einfach zu erreichen machte. Das Zimmer war schön, ein bisschen geklappt sogar für ein Königsprivilegzimmer. Nicht viel Platz zu gehen, zu viele unnötige Stühle. Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sauber. Mini-Kühlschrank war schön mit Wasser und weiche Getränke kostenlos gelagert. Das Fernseher im Zimmer war ein intelligentes Fernseher, erlaubt uns, Netflix über den Screen-Spiegel zu beobachten, der ausgezeichnet war. Das Bett war bequem mit mehreren Kissenoptionen. Socken und USB-Ladepunkte auf beiden Seiten des Zimmers, großartig für die Lade von mehreren Geräten. Volllänge Spiegel und Kupferraum, um Kleidung aufhängen. Niedriges Kleid und Slips schön auf dem Bett präsentiert. Wir besuchten die Poolanlagen bei mehreren Gelegenheiten während unseres Aufenthalts. Es war nur eine mittlere Größe. Mit einem separaten Jacuzzi und Dampfraum und Sauna. Poolwasser war schöne Temperatur, etwas warm, das wirklich schön fühlte. Die Beleuchtung im Poolbereich war schwach, ziemlich trüb. Lockers in wechselnden Bereich benötigen einen Padlock, da wir nicht wussten, wir nicht aus. Einige Stühle sind auf der Poolseite verfügbar, die wir Dinge auslegen konnten. Das Frühstück hatte mehrere Optionen, einschließlich vegetarischer Optionen auf Anfrage. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ein angenehmes Aufenthalt. Ich empfehle es."

"The hotel was good, and both the receptionist were so helpful and had a good sense of humour. They were always ready to help., The only downside was we missed on goring in the pool as the Ph levels were high on the day we wanted to use. The breakfast was fresh and very good too"

"We read the reviews and knew it was above a lively pub, and while there was noise as we were checked in Steve and Louis let us know they’d do their best to have the noise level lower by around 11pm, and they did. The pub and restaurant look lovely but we didn’t try this time around because we had previous plans and reservations. Interested to try next time. The room was lovely, quaint and historic, the bathroom was spacious and clean. We would definitely recommend (please know there’s loud noise possible but it dies out later so it was perfect for us ) and we would definitely stay again! Absolutely stellar service!"

"Der Postcode auf der Hoteladresse führte uns nicht zum Hotel. Es war schwer zu finden, da es in einem Immobilien war. Das Hotel ist nicht nahe der Straße. Das Zeichen beim Eingang der Straße ist nicht sehr bemerkenswert. Beim Ankunftstermin im Hotel sieht das Gebäude aus wie ein Manor von einigen Lizenzen, die ziemlich beeindruckend war. Check-in war reibungslos, aber es gab keinen Aufzug und wir mussten unsere schweren Gepäck ein paar Treppen und durch enge Korridore nehmen. Keine Porter oder Schneider zu helfen war ein wenig irritierend. Das Frühstück war Standard-Englisch-Freitag, das wie erwartet war. Grasflächen und viele große Bäume um das Hotel bieten ein entspannendes Gefühl. Es gibt ein separates Gebäude, das den Pool und den Fitnessraum verbringt. Diese Einrichtung war nicht ausschließlich für Hotelgäste und offen für Leute, die ihren Club beitreten. Leider am Tag meines Aufenthalts gab es dort viele Leute, so dass ich es eine Miss gab."
