Sanders Yard

Room 3 (? Hope remembered that correctly!) Well decorated, spacious bedroom and very large en suite. Well stocked tea tray. Comfy bed and pillows. And the holey grail... plenty of plug sockets including at both sides of the bed! Such a rarity but common sense there! Nicely decorated, beautiful tiles in the shower. Well thought out finishing touches. Will definitely return for a longer stay to enjoy further. Tucked away off a main street, but so quiet you forget you're there. Very helpful owner providing answers to queries upon booking and thorough instructions on self check provided on the morning of arrival. Recommend.

Tried to order kippers at 11:20 am. Was told the lunch menu didn't start until 12. I explained that's fine, asI want them for breakfast! But apparently that's not possible. Delicious food but really need to sort out menus and staff training.

Called on the spur of the moment looking to book an overnight stay and Becca was very helpful, booked us in over the phone. We stayed in Room 1 which was very tastefully decorated. Very comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. We also had our pooch with us, and there was loads of room to put his crate up too. Lovely to have a sofa to relax on as well. Bathroom is excellent, spotless and a great rainfall shower. Location is spot on for centre of Whitby and the pobs, restaurants and sites! Will be back for a longer stay soon.

We had a really nice stay at the Sanders Yard which is ideally placed, car parking is only a 5-10 min walk away so that was fine. We did have the Attic room which had plenty of space with low beams (be warned lol) and a separate bathroom which is is the only other door on the same floor and next to the room. We didn't book breakfast so couldn't comment but would I stay again, 100% yes.

Enjoyed our stay at Sanders yard, so central. Easy self check in. Instructions very clear. Stayed in room 3 Room was spotless clean, plenty tea/ coffee etc., cups and glasses. Disappointed no biscuits to have with cuppa, nothing major tho and bought some instead. ( noted other reviews got biscuits) Bedding was good quality and bed so comfortable. Only negative thing was that there was no radiator in the bathroom. Was January and cold outside so was freezing when needed to use bathroom.

I’ve always wanted to stay here and as the price in January was reasonable, I took a punt and stayed JADE ATTIC. Communication was great and the entrance was easy to find (it’s through a little alley nearby). Self check in was simple. The room was spacious and very clean. You get excellent free WiFi reception, standard coffee/tea (with free Mrs Bothams biscuits… 👍🏽). Nice decor all around. The bed is comfy. There are a set of drawers for clothes but no wardrobe. Instead there are a few hangers and hooks. Which didn’t cause a problem. The bathroom is next to the room so it means leaving the bedroom and crossing a step to get there. Odd at first but you get used to it. There is no shower but a lovely bath! The bathroom was big with plenty of space. Some hints. It’s at the top of the building (as it called Jade Attic!) so there are stairs to climb. Also a lot of beams… so you will constantly be ducking. Plenty of lights and the plug sockets are next to the bed with USB sockets in case you have forgotten a charging plug! You can hear the church bells but it added to the a**osphere. Overall, it was a lovely stay in the centre of Whitby. Parking is an issue so get to Whitby early and park at Langbourne Rd car park (£9 for 24 hours).

The chocolate shop is in the perfect location in the centre of Whitby, in walking distance of everything we wanted to do while in Whitby. The cottage is perfectly set out, immaculate and lovely fluffy carpets and comfy bedding. The owners were very helpful and did everything they could to make it as nice as possible for us. I will definitely be booking again for next year!

5 star room and service!!! Absolutely perfect! Text messaging from owners on day of arrival! Just loved our attic room! Would definitely return! The location is perfect right in the centre of the town parking is expensive at £9 for 24 hrs! But there could be parking cheaper if you know the area!!! Loads of pubs, cafes nearby! Very dog friendly, which suited us with our little jack Russel!!!

Another lovely stay, room 2,mini Chris**as tree was a nice touch, delicious biscuits, best shower ever, husband pleased he didn'thave to sort out the temperature! Toiletries provided smell delicious! Easy to use room heating control, thank you, we will return, Happy Chris**as 🎄
