Schwefel Geruch auf dem Parkplatz , Nicht mal die Eingangstür zur Rezeption schließt vollständig . Der gesamte Eingangsbereich voller Spinnenweben und dreck . Fenster seit Monaten vielleicht Jahren nicht geputzt . Kein housekeeping , es werden nur die Handtücher getauscht auf Nachfrage . Zimmer wird während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Wirkt auch nicht so wäre das vor dem Aufenthalt passiert . Alles ist abgenutzt , die Toilette ist nicht mehr richtig an der wand befestigt . Das Bad schimmelt an jeder Ecke , mehr Schimmel als Fliesen . Der Teppich verschmutzt und das bei Preisen die unvorstellbar hoch sind . Das Geld fließt scheinbar nur in die Tasche von Travelodge denn mitarbeite die bezahlt werden gibt es maximal einen pro Schicht . Ich habe mich selten mehr vor etwas geekelt als vor diesem Hotel . Preis Leistung passt nicht . Und die negativen Dinge aus Bewertungen von 2016 kann ich alle bestätigen . Es wird nichts geändert . Die Gäste werden völlig ausgeraubt bei dem Preis Leitungswasser Verhältnis . Ich wünsche niemandem hier mehr als 2 Tage zu verbringen .

I wasn’t sure what to expect as it’s a budget hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t that busy when I visited so there was ample parking (although I spotted a lot of people stopping to go to the bathroom or empty potties in the hedges outside). The room was clean and there was tea and coffee and shower gel. The bedding looked fresh and it was fairly quiet at night. There was some mould on the bathroom ceiling which let it down but the area around the bath and taps was clean. The reception were friendly. If I visited the area again I would choose this Travelodge over the one at Sourton Cross. The nearby Hog and Hedge cafe served a nice breakfast, although it closed a little early so I couldn’t visit for dinner.

Really friendly staff and a brilliant little pub only 200 yards down the road for a few drinks before be time No idea about the cafe next door as went elsewhere Rooms are basic but serviceable The car park is huge and has plenty of room There you go - top notch

First the staff are brilliant really helpful ......The room is very basic, You do get tea , coffee and uht milk.....But no complimentary soap, shampoo or biscuits .....Tv worked and kettle worked Wifi is only free for 30 mins then is £3 for 24hr which isn't to bad but is a extra ....Bed is ok and comfy and there is a bath ......The room was clean and tidy .......I paid £56 for the night which is value for money considering the price of other accommodation in the area ......BUT the standard price is over a £100 a night just no way I would consider it would that be worth that as there is much nicer for the same money . Basic no frills but good value if you can get it at the offer price.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, we had a good night's sleep here. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant across from the hotel closed at 5 so we had difficulty finding an evening meal, the nearest pub was also not serving food the Sunday evening we were here.

Appears to be set in nice area, however is in car park of a main service area so lots of noise. Breakfast was inedible box and no choice or willingness to explore options give ~£25 pounds for 4 breakfasts

Really good ,I'd read this lodge needed refurb ,but I had room 6 which was lovely ,smart and,clean so maybe has been refurbed ? not many channels worked though on the t.v and the grass needs cutting ,borders tidying ,but really great value .thank you . I will be returning

A really pleasant stay with amenities very close by. Would I stay here again? Absolutely it's very conveniently located just off the A30. I have stayed there before and was happy to find spaces available on the build up to Easter.

I recently stayed two nights at Whiddon Down Travel Lodge on my way to and from a club motorcycle ride in Cornwall. Parking was easy,I was able to park my bike in one of the bays right outside the front door, which made unloading and loading the bike easier in all the rain. The room was clean and tidy, comfy bed, and a really good heater which is easy to adjust to suit. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is cafe next door, and a petrol station with a Morrisons shop, a hot pies and pasties counter, so food and drink was no problem. there is also a pub "Post Inn" just down the road. I can definitely recommend this Travel Lodge as a good place to stop over.
