Denn für diese 3 gerechten Dienstleistungen gibt es Hostels und Hotels für 20 € pro Person pro Nacht. - Sie setzten uns auf die Unterseite, im ersten Zimmer neben der Rezeption und jedes Mal, wenn ein Kunde nachts eintritt, laut. - Altes, unachtsames Zimmer, man hatte sogar noch ein Stück Papier, das man sich verwandt hatte. Ich weiß nicht, ob wir am schlimmsten sind, weil wir einen kleinen Hund von 3kg .... Aber wenn wir 600€ für 2 Nächte in 2 Zimmern mit nur Unterkünften bezahlen, fühlen wir uns ziemlich betrogen. (60 pro Person pro Nacht) -Die Heizung konnte nicht reguliert werden. Ich war am Abend kalt - Ich nahm Schmuck aus dem Schrank und sie waren sehr schmutzig ... Was für ein Schmutz. - Es ist wenig Licht im Zimmer.

I spent two and a half days and three nights at this establishment. I can’t think of anything else they could have done to make my stay more pleasant. The reception by Paul was wonderful. He was polite, understanding and well explained all the amenities that came with the stay. The studio unit was clean, and well appointed with fresh linen, towels and bottled water. There is no AC which is quite common, but the unit was equipped with two powerful, adjustable fans, and the windows opened slightly for fresh air. The hotel is a 50 yards or so from train tracks serving the local station. Trains run periodically during the day but diminish as the evening approaches. The location is a short walk to Old Town San Sebastián where one can experience plenty of enjoyable night life and the crowds are not a problem, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars. All in all, a nice stay for my first visit to San Sebastián.

Das wird Gross-Gebiet sein, aber die Lage ist sehr gut, weil ich 10 Minuten zu Fuß in die alte Stadt erreichen kann! Wenn ich müde bin, während ich in einer Barreise bin, kann ich wieder zum Hotel ein wenig schlafen. Es ist billiger als das alte Hotel in der Stadt, ich habe viel gegessen, so dass es für mich gut ist, dort zu gehen. Es gibt viele Restaurants und Bars um das Hotel herum, auch in der Nacht, also müssen selbst einzelne Frauen nicht um die Sicherheit Sorgen machen. Das Hotel ist sehr groß, sauber, wirklich sehr komfortabel. Die Bequemlichkeiten umfassen Zahnfässer, Schalen und Papierbecher, die nur am ersten Tag eine Flasche Wasser trinken. Der Wasserdruck in der Schlauchmaschine ist stark, der Windkraft des Windes ist sehr hoch. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass es keinen Kühlschrank gibt. Der Gast im Hotel ist auch sehr glücklich, es ist eine sehr glückliche Ferienzeit. Das ist ein sehr gutes Hotel. Wenn ich wieder in San Sebastian komme, werde ich mich um dich kümmern!

Our experience unfortunatly didn’t match the comments we could read on Tripadvisor. First of all the hotel is situated next to train rails. Even with the windows closed you can hear the train and they pass by now and then including early in the morning. If you don‘t like to wake up listening to a train passing by, you may reconsider. Just google-map the hotel and pay attention to how close the rails are… The walls inside are pretty thin too. Being a family with 2 small children we were the ones that sometimes were doing some noise even if we were trying to pay attention to be as quiet as possible. One of the other clients, who complained a bit, qualified them of „paper walls“. Our daughter got sick towards the end of our holidays. We asked for advise at the reception for a pediatrician. We were sent to a place that doesn‘t have a pediatric department, since a while it seems, and doesn‘t take emergencies. It was a nice trip to this „hospital“ with a child who was sick… anyway this can happen… One day our room wasn‘t done, just because we were in the room when they passed and they just pass „once“. No luck… What I couldn‘t tolerate was the situation with the parking… the hôtel has an arrangement with some parking… given that we were staying few days (5 nights) they gave us 2 tickets. One for 3 days and one for 2 days. It seems that a single ticket for 5 days didnt exist (max is 3 days). I make it short we ended up paying almost 2x the parking… exactly 57 eur on top of what was initially arranged because of some „not adequate“ handling on my side with the 2 tickets. I got 0 explanation from the hôtel in this regard before and having to move the car during the night for an emergency (my daughter again), I had no choice to pay to use the car and thought I would arrange the obvious with the hôtel the next day. The only thing I got from them is a „Lo siento“, I am sorry… no refund of what I paid extra, although they fully understood what went wrong. Let’s cash in on all fronts… Hey what’s the problem…. That‘s about how much they care about clients… what an experience. This left me in disbelief. They have some coffee and cake in the hall, that’s nice, but it doesn‘t make up for the rest. With this money (price of the room, which is relatively expensive for what you get, not talking about the additional parking rip off…) you will probably find something better in San Sebastián. Big disappointment, and a big waste of precious time and holidays. My advise? Clearly, don‘t stop there… Lo siento

Das ist ein Hotel ohne Frills, aber mit einem Unterschied. Das Personal ist absolut großartig, sehr bequem. Das Zimmer war unverschämt und sehr komfortabel, mit einem Kühlschrank eine Safe und einem TV. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und extrem frisch und gut vorgestellt. Parkplatz war in einem unterirdischen Park gesichert 24 Stunden am Tag, was 17.00 Euro kosten, ein wenig preiswert, denke ich. Super ruhiges Hotel mit einfachem Zugang zum Zentrum. Dieses ist ein unverschämtes Hotel, wir werden mit sehr guter Aufmerksamkeit auf die Details laufen. Ausgezeichnete komfortable Bett in einem sehr ruhigen Bereich. Wir werden sicherlich wieder in dieses Hotel zurückkehren

After an 11 day trip visiting the Spanish and French Basque region using the Abba San Sebastian as my base for 7 nights, I have to take the time to praise the team and management of Abba. Check-in was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, there is not enough staff to help transport bags to the room. The cozy room is on the small size but cozy enough to manage for sleep and refreshing. The room and bath are both modern, clean and somewhat luxurious. The entire hotel only opened in 2020. The breakfast was fresh, more than adequate in terms of selections and the same every day. The staff both the very capable Julian and the always-smiling female attendant (I forgot her name unfortunately) were always attending to guests, clearing plates, refreshing selections at the counter and more. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of all in San Sebastian. Be sure to engage the best bartender in the Basque, Sergio. Order his own creation which is a hard liquor infused Sangria. Wow! I highly recommend a stay at the Abba. Would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely.
