Vor kurzem hier 2 Nächte mit Freunden, genossen meine Übernachtung, aber hier sind die Pros und Cons Pros - Ausgezeichnete Lage im Herzen der alten Stadt Matera - Liebe echtes Frühstück - Schöne Zimmer in einer Höhle, Ästhetisch sehr attraktiv - Das Hotel Spa ist erstaunlich mit einem schönen türkischen Bad, Sauna und Pool Cons - Die Zimmer, obwohl ästhetisch attraktiv könnten einige praktische Funktionen nutzen. Badezimmer ist fehlend, nur ein Handtuchhaken, der ungünstig war, und ich liebe nicht das offene Badezimmer aka keine Badezimmertür - Das Bett war so hart, wie auf einem Betonschlaf schlafen, mein Rücken verletzt - das Fenster hat das Licht ins Haus gegeben und es war auch Licht von den 2 Elektrokartenschlitten, die das Zimmer in der Nacht erleuchtet. - Ich hatte ein paar Probleme mit meinem Zimmer. Der Kühlschrank funktionierte nicht, die Safe hatte Schwierigkeiten, ich musste Rezeption zu kommen und zu versuchen, es zu arbeiten. Die erste Person konnte nicht so, dass ich die zweite Person endlich zu reparieren musste. - Das Eisen, das wir von der Rezeption schuldig waren, wir verwendeten es trotzdem und es brennt ein vernichtetes neues Hemd. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist das enttäuschend.

Ein Hotel mit Lobby und sehr schönen Gemeindebereichen; komfortable, saubere Zimmer, die Aufmerksamkeit auf einige Details (wie etwa, dass die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert, ein wenig laut). In sehr freundlicher Rezeption und aufmerksam zu unseren Zweifeln. Die Zeit war nicht in der Lage, die Herberge zu benutzen, da die Nutzungszeit begrenzt ist (10 bis 19 h), das Wasser war warm berührt. Matera bleibt 15 Minuten im Auto, das Hotel hat Parkplatz.

Magischer Ort und klasse Hotel mittendrin. Näher kann man dem Treiben in Matera kaum sein. Wunderbares Designhotel in altem Gemäuer. Sehr schicke Zimmer, gemütliche Betten, Regenschauer-Doppeldusche - perfekt. A la carte Frühstück, Terrasse abends mit phantastischem Blick über die Altstadt. Ideale Lage für alle Touren durch die Stadt. Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Unterstützung bei der An- und Abreise. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert!

This guesthouse is 0.6 mi (1 km) from Museo Nazionale Ridola and 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from Convent of Sant'Agostino.Take in the views from a garden. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the beach shuttle (surcharge).Local cuisine breakfasts are available daily from 8 AM to 9:30 AM for a fee.Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and an elevator. Freundlicher Empfang; Auto wird von Hotelangestelltem direkt in die hoteleigene Einstellhalle geführt. Alles ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Auf Wunsch wurde uns ohne Aufpreis ein Early-Check-In angeboten. Schöne Suite zu tollem Preis. Balkon mit Aussicht auf die Altstadt, in welche man zu Fuss in 5 Minuten gelangt. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Tolles Frühstück im Zimmer serviert. Sehr zuvorkommende Angestellte. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel all jenen, welche ein bis mehrere Tage in Matera verbringen möchten. Wir hätten uns darüber gefreut, auf dem grossen Balkon eine Sitzgelegenheit mit kleinem Tisch vorzufinden.

Ich hatte hier eine tolle Massage und Hydrotherapie, aber ich blieb nicht im Hotel. Sowohl die Massage als auch die Spa-Anlagen waren fantastisch - besser als ich erwartet hatte. Die Massage war ein ich gebeten - tiefer Druck wegen aller Treppen! Das Spa verfügt über mehrere große warme Röhren mit Jets, Dampfzimmern, Saunen.

The rooms are old caves modified to hotel standards and are quaint but comfortable with a small fridge, Sky TV (little in English) and reasonable AC. We enjoyed four nights with friends in Matera. The hotel is well placed, surrounded by restaurants in the heart of the 'Sassi' - Old Town. There are tables and chairs outside the 'Hobbit' style rooms to enjoy an al fresco breakfast or late night drink. There is no bar and reception is closed by 10pm, so you will need to be prepared with beers and drinks. Some reception staff only speak Italian or very limited English. There is no parking at the hotel or for non Matera residents in the Sassi. We found parking at 'Damascus Parking' (details provided by the hotel), was reasonable at 20 Euros per day with a shuttle to and from the hotel. Be sure to organise your return shuttle in good time especially if leaving early. The rooms have a portable dehumidifier which would be well advised to use. If you are not familiar with these boxes on wheels ask the hotel to explain. The access to the hotel and all of the old town is by steps and a labyrinth of paths which are smooth and can be slippery. We advise god trainers rather than flip flops for getting around. We found Matera a charming adventure built in a higgeldy piggeldy warren that is firmly focused on tourism. Three days are more than enough, more would be stretching everything on offer.

We wanted to stay in the Matera Sassi district - this hotel was perfect. It started with staff offering to book a car park in the new area of town. It was walkable to the hotel but we chose to take them up on their offer to have a driver pick us up at the car park - 20 euro for 4 adults. The garage is new and was the easiest parking we've ever had in Italy. Hint: if you're driving, use Google maps on your phone instead of the car's nav system to get to the garage. The car system took us to the wrong place and we talked to another couple who had the same experience. When we put in google nav, we got to the garage easily. Check in was easy and very welcoming. We got lots of info and a nice orientation to our rooms. Everyone was telling us ”relax, this is your home now and we will take care of everything” (and they did). Our rooms were lovely, ours even had a sauna in the larger shower. Nice amenities like robes and slippers and cold bottles of water in fridge at no charge. Note that the rooms are carved out of caves so they are on the dark side. I asked for an extra lamp, and it was very promptly brought to our room. Beds were quite comfy. Breakfast was fantastic! Lots of typical Italian foods along with American basics. The coffee was great, and our waitress cheerfully accommodated our requests. Finally, location is perfect - we walked everywhere. Didn't need the car at all during our 2 night visit. All in all a five star experience!
