Beautiful property in a great location of Matera! The breakfast staff was very accommodating to provide us a full breakfast service early on our day of departure.

We did not have good experience for our three night stay. The shower drainage was clogged and water did not go down quick enough. We have to shut off the water in the mid of shower and wait until water went down. We told the staff the drainage issue. They just told us to send message with no any staff or service ordered to fix it. When we sent the message about the issue, we did not receive a single word with zero response. The hotel is classified as 4 star. I do not know how this rating came from. We stayed in Italy for 2 months and stayed different hotels in different regions. By comparison, this hotel can not even be classified for 3 star. The breakfast compared with most of the 4 star hotels in Italy, it is bad. No any hot item in the breakfast except coffee. The boiled egg was icy cold, taken from refrigerator and probably boiled days ago..Please note, the hotel room is in the cave. You have to step down 50 steps in order to reach the hotel room. When you leave, you need to climb up 50 steps with your luggages. I would not book the hotel if I knew it was like that. I do not know how the review rating (seem to be good) was coming from. But only 22 review at my booking time. May be from family members, friends or relatives... Not sure about it. Anyway, it was a real bad experience we had .

My wife and I stayed here two nights during a time of COVID restrictions. We were the only ones staying in the hotel and we had a great experience. We were greeted upon our arrival by Antonella--she and her colleague took great care of us! We were upgraded to a great room and provided excellent and attentive service. Antonella even walked a few blocks with us to show us where we could park our car. The breakfast was very good and served very hospitably by Antonella and her colleague. The location is central. The only drawback was that in our room, we overlooked a little piazza--trash pickup started around 6am. The location is central. + Très bonne localisation, chambre spatieuse, moderne et confortable mais reste néanmoins très typique des Sassi (ne pas s’attendre à ce que la chambre soit très lumineuse). Salle de bain très agréable et literie plutôt correcte. - Les rideaux ne permettent pas d’obtenir le noir complet. Nous logions dans la chambre 201 qui donne directement sur la rue, qui peut être un peu bruyante avec le passage.

Ci siamo fermati per una notte …siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti , hotel moderno , pulito , molto caratteristico, personale molto gentile …colazione semplice ma completa. Ottima posizione si trova al centro tra i due sassi con la splendida via del corso piena di negozi e localini…da ritornarci.

Fint hotel, men meget svært st finde. Kørevejledning kunne være meget bedre.

Posizionato al centro di Matera ma nello stesso tempo silenzioso . Personale gentilissimo, affabile, cordiale. Colazione internazionale. La signora Loredana simpatica e competente, come il resto dello staff.

Centrale e confortevole, al centro tra i due Sassi e nel cuore dell’isola pedonale dunque l’ideale per godere appieno della città. Camere pulite, ben arredate, il personale è attento e molto gentile. Posto assolutamente consigliato a chi vuole visitare la città
