Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

Großer Aufenthalt bei Riu Playacar Wir genossen unsere Aufenthalte in diesem sauberen, gut organisierten Resort mit geräumigen, ruhigen Zimmern (unser hatte keinen Balkon, aber es war toll). Die Minibar war ein schöner Kontakt, und das Badezimmer war ohne Spott. Höchstwerte: ✔ Lebensmittelsorte – Mehrfache à-la-carte Restaurants (Nicht nötig für Abendessenreservierungen) und Buffets mit guten Mittagessen/Frühstücksoptionen. ✔Strand – Viel Sonnenbäder, aber keine Umberalla, so bringen Sie Ihren Sonnenschirm, obwohl Pools besetzt werden les Sonnenbäder. ✔ Zugriff auf Schwesterhotels – Party-Liebhaber können in der Nähe des Riu Tequila Clubs besuchen. ✔ Bequeme Lage – Mini-Markt über die Straße, und Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) ist nur ein 150-peso Taxi fahren entfernt. ✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min Fahrt + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado tourism station). Kleine Nachteile: ✖ Keine Aufzüge – Hart für Gäste mit Mobilitätsproblemen. ✖ Unterhaltungs-Hiccups – Der Gastgeber hat manchmal vergessen, nach spanischen Ankündigungen zurück ins Englische zu wechseln. Perfekt für: Reisende, die gute Werte, Vielfalt und Nähe zum Nachtleben von Playa wollen.

It was AMAZING! I had such a great time there! The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. I made sure to eat and drink as much as possible, I think I ate too much! There is only a buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner at the restaurants. It's à la carte (if you paid for the package) and you can order as much food as you want. Mexican food for lunch and Italian or Mexican food for dinner (you have to book for dinner). I also love that the rooftop bar has unlimited great food for the whole day. The pool area was nice and so was the furniture. My room was huge and very spacious, I did not have the best view which didn't matter because I was upstairs on the rooftop for most of the time. They also stock the room fridge with soft drinks and beer which are unlimited. Each floor has a water cooler machine and an ice machine which was great when it came to refilling my water bottles. I think it's a great idea instead of the single use water bottles. I highly recommend staying here, my only regret was not staying here longer. I will be back in the future! 

Das Hotel liegt am Rande der Fifth Avenue und die Umgebung ist gut. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Straßenbar zu laut ist und der Klang der Musikbar um drei oder vier Uhr morgens immer noch laut ist.

Firstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.

Personally, the music sound from the bar did not inturrupt us because we are used to those noise. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, then the hotel would be the bad choice. They did not have a hair dryer so we should’ve dry hair with A/C🤣 There were some bugs like ants and mosquitos which freaked my partner. But “I” was satisfied about the hotel’s cleanness and in/exterior because it looked quite good. If you like bar, there is a good bar in front of the hotel and also a taco place. Overall, the experience in the hotel was quite good for me and the location was also so good because it’s so close(one block) from the 5th ave.

Die Lage ist großartig. Check-in war einfach. Zimmer sind geräumig mit einer kleinen Küche (Backkochkoch & Mikrowelle), aber es gibt keine Gerichte oder Werkzeuge zu kochen. Anständige Kaffee-/Tee-Einstellung. Niedrige Kleider. mittlere Größe Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Die Stadtblickzimmer haben keine Balkone und die Straße mit Blick auf Eisbutz und Waschmaschine. Pool ist warm und Pool Handtücher verfügbar. 1 Block von der besetzten Straße und 2 Blocks vom Strand. Es gibt eine Bar mit Pooltisch, Football und Darts, wo eine glückliche Stunde für eine Stunde täglich angeboten wurde. BRÜCKFAST WACHT NICHT Früh. Sehr begrenzte Optionen und war kalt. Auch nachdem sie unsere Reservierung im Frühstücksrestaurant geprüft hatten, bestanden sie darauf, dass wir dafür bezahlen, wenn wir für sie mit der Reservierung bezahlt haben. Auch das Frühstückspersonal war ein bisschen düster, als ich versuchte, Details über den Bahnhof zu fragen, andere waren auf dem Laufenden, um mir an Dinge erinnert, die auch oder nicht enthalten waren.

Ausgezeichneter Empfang, großes Zimmer, aber es sollte eine Abdeckung haben, um in den ersten Stock zu gelangen. Es ist wirklich schlimm, den Raum bei Regen betreten zu müssen, wenn es regnet. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, da die Lage großartig ist.

Das Hotel war okay, aber der Kundenservice war unterirdisch. Das Ladegerät war im Zimmer vergessen worden. Das Hotel hat mich eine Stunde Zeit gekostet, ohne es zu finden.

Die Landschaft ist so gut! Die Atmosphäre ist so gut und der Pool ist so gut! Allerdings ist die Antwort zu langsam und es ist zu schwer, per E-Mail zu kommunizieren
