AAnonymer BenutzerI've stayed at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Batam twice this year, in February and May 2026, and once again, the experience exceeded expectations.
This time, I booked an Executive Twin room for my mother-in-law and her friend for a short getaway from 30 May to 1 June 2026.
The location is excellent—directly opposite Grand Batam Mall, making shopping, dining, and entertainment incredibly convenient. The hotel is also right next to Eska Wellness Spa, where guests can enjoy massages, hair treatments, manicures, and pedicures, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Even before arrival, the service was impressive. I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp regarding a few special requests, and the staff were professional, responsive, and genuinely accommodating throughout the process.
Some highlights of the stay included:
• Spacious and spotlessly clean room
• Comfortable beds that provided a good night's rest
• Hot and cold water dispensers available at every lift lobby
• Smart TV with access to Netflix, YouTube, and other entertainment options
• Excellent breakfast spread with a wide variety of local and international selections
• Complimentary hi-tea, which was a delightful surprise and made the afternoons even more enjoyable
What truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Every staff member—from the front desk and housekeeping team to the chefs, waiters, and bellboys—provided exceptional service with warmth, professionalism, and genuine friendliness throughout the stay.
My mother-in-law and her friend did not have the opportunity to use the hotel facilities such as the swimming pool and gym during this stay, so we are unable to comment on those. However, based on their overall experience, they truly enjoyed every moment here and appreciated the comfort, convenience, and hospitality provided.
We will definitely be returning again and would highly recommend Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Batam to families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming stay in Batam.

With friend referral after they stay before. We booked this hotel during this trip for a three nites stay to lepark and rejuvenate.
Usually we will choose a hotel with pool and gym too. But this time, we booked in advance via trip.com and got a very great deal.
The check-in is very efficient handle by front desk executive , me Julios. (Very friendly and polite). Although we arrived an hour earlier, we got check-in instantly.
I really appreciate the great surprise upon entering the studio suite. My partner have quietly arranged with the hotel for a birthday room deco. The hotel went to the great extend to offer us a complimentary birthday deco surprise (with a complimentary special hotel soft towel set)
I took the hotel kind wishes and brought the printed deco banner to all the places we visit too (still in progress. Bhahaha)

GGastnutzerAfter a friendly & fast registration, we were told the room wasn't ready yet which was fine since we were an hour early. Decided to have coffee at the hotel's coffeehouse while we waited. About 15 minutes later the very nice front desk officer (didn't take down his name, sorry!) actually came over to our table with our room key to let us know our room was ready.
Our room was a smoking room on the 17th floor. It was a very decent sized room with a comfortable extra sized king bed & large tv screen. Fridge & aircon was cold, bathrobes & slippers provided. Loved that each side of the bed had power outlets. The bathroom mirror has backlit lights that are controlled with a touch button on the mirror itself. Water pressure & water temperature control were great. The shower stall was big, which I appreciate.
I have to make a special mention about breakfast. Halfway through our meal, we saw some of the staff standing by the wall. They stood evenly spaced out all through the restaurant. I thought, hmm, maybe a vip is coming. Music came on, so then i thought somebody's birthday? My jaw dropped a bit when they started dancing haha. I've gone to dinners that came with a show but this was the first time I've seen a breakfast show. Bravo though to all the staff for being so sporting!! Not sure if breakfast needed a show but it was certainly very entertaining lol. Food was good, amazing spread with lots of variety. Seating was spaced out so it didn't feel cramped. Lovely decor & quick on the plate clearing.
All in all, this was a very good stay. My first time at a harris property & definitely won't be my last.

LLimm64We were upgraded on our recent trip to Batam. i Hotel has two locations.. at Nagoya Hill (where we stayed) and Baloi.
The Nagoya property is conveniently located just next to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre. There's a side gate, which is locked and accessible by room key card, to and from the Shopping Centre. This makes it very accessible and provide extra security other than walking along the street.
Access to the hotel via vehicle will be inspected at the main gate before the security personnel opens the gate. Hotel is clean and staff are courteous. Since we were there for only 2-nights we didn't need room cleaning. In the early afternoon of the second day I received a message that my room has the No Disturb light on and just wanted to confirmed if we need room makeup. Such thoughtful service!
The breakfast buffet carries a wide spread. I would suggest taking up on their breakfast before heading out for the day. They have 2 coffee machines that makes about 15 different beverages. Just a caution that they lean towards to sweeter side. At the buffet there's also an egg counter that will make your eggs be it omelette, over easy or soft boiled.
Going for meals and shopping malls are convenient. Besides Nagoya Hill which you can easily walk to, other malls like the the Grand Batam Mall and food courts like A2 and Nagoya Food Court are easily accessible by Grab. Cost is around IDR21,600.00. From Batam Ferry Terminal to the hotel cost about IDR37,000.00.

JJasonnXGuter Aufenthalt im Allgemeinen. Ando Hotel ist sehr bequem, nur etwa 5-minute Spaziergang zum Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, vor allem mit Gepäck.
Das Zimmer war komfortabel, aber es gab keine Haartrockner oder Kühlschrank, was für einige Gäste ungünstig sein kann. Sauberkeit kann auch verbessert werden, da es Staub auf der Toilettentür war.
Insgesamt, gute Lage und Service, aber Grundausstattung und Hauspflege könnte besser sein.

Cons - Layout and design fixtures of the toilet are bad. The shower head is located very high and can't stay in the holder. There is no door for the shower and water splashes out because the shower head is too high. The toilet main door can't open because the toilet bowl is in the way. I think that small changes to the toilet will elevate the experience.

Best described as ”luxury boutique”, the management team and staff have perfected the art of hospitality here.
I and my partner can find nothing to fault, from the quality of the welcome to the beautiful pool to the plentiful, varied and high quality breakfast buffet.

BBunzboxTerrible cleanliness. Stayed here for 2 days, the room has cockroaches, we killed 10 of those in the span of days, asked for a change of room but the front desk told us it’s full. The bed sheet is grey and dirty, we have to request house keeping to change it.
Water pressure is good. Staff are friendly. That’s the only 2 good thing for this hotel.
The room and facility is really old and need a major overhaul.
