The good: Beds were comfortable and our wing was very quiet. Breakfast was decent and I appreciated the breakfast booths.
The bad: Honestly, the bad outweighs the good and I will not be coming back. I could have looked past the patched up sheets (they were visibly mended versus just being replaced), the weathered bathtub, and the elevator that nearly killed us every time (it doesn't have a sensor and easily could catch your hand). However, here's the cinchers:
-We were told that the incidental charge of $100 would be immediately refunded upon check out and that it would only show up as pending on our bank account. Instead, it was processed as an actual charge for both parties traveling. Reception stated it could take anywhere from 10-14 days to get that money back and acted like they'd never told us it would be a pending charge.
One of the parties in our group was charged an extra $11. When we inquired via phone, reception stated it was because we stole a towel. A towel! I can assure you that their scratchy old used towels are not worth $11, and that it wouldn't be something we'd steal. It's not even worth arguing, but a chain that nickel and dimes you and then insinuates you are a thief isn't one that deserves your business. There are nicer, more updated, friendlier hotels at comparable rates--and they won't charge you for things you never "stole."
