Laut der Straße außerhalb des Fensters bis 3.30am, kurz nach dem Verkehrslärm, so haben wir sehr wenig Schlaf! Unser Zimmer mit einem Feuerplatz (wie auf der Website beschrieben) hatte weder Strahlen noch einen Feuerplatz und war klein und schrecklich gestalten, wobei ein Großteil des Zimmers von einem freistehenden Bad aufgegriffen wurde, so dass der Schrank gegen eine Wand auf der anderen Seite gekrümmt wurde. Das Zimmer war nicht willkommen, zumindest zu sagen. Als wir das Straßenlärm bei der Abreise erwähnten, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir nächstes Mal einen ruhigen Raum fragen .....wir werden nicht nächstes Mal. Wir buchten direkt mit dem Hotel und wurden nichts über Straßenlärm erzählt. Ein Kühlschrank mit einem lauten Hum wurde neben dem Schrank auf einem kleinen Tisch gestellt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber gepuckte Eier waren hart. Nicht ein wunderbares Erlebnis.

Ich benutze oft Premier Inn Hotels, aber der 3-Nacht-Unterkunft, den ich gerade hatte, in Norwich Duke Street kam nicht zu meinen Erwartungen. Unser Zimmer war zu warm, auch mit dem Fenster offen und der gelieferten Fußgängerfans laufen ständig. Ich erwähnte das an die Rezeption beim Auschecken heute Morgen und ich wurde gesagt, dass das bekannte Problem mit dem Gebäude ist, über das sich die Kunden oft beschweren, auch im Winter. Er ging weiter und sagte, dass die sie tragbaren Klimaanlagen in den Premier plus Zimmer setzen und schlug vor, dass ich nächstes Mal eine dieser buchen. Ich denke nicht, dass dies eine annehmbare Antwort ist. Warum sollte ich extra zahlen, um komfortabel zu sein, wenn es eine bekannte Frage mit der Temperatur der Zimmer gibt?

Hier für eine Reise zum Theater gebucht, die sich als eine 10-minütige Spazierfahrt vom Hotel perfekt erwies, wenn das Wetter erlaubt. Zimmer sind sauber mit einem großen komfortablen Bett. Parkplatz war kostenlos mit vielen Platzen. Wir sind nach dem Theater bei 10.45 zurück, um der Bar zu sagen, wird um 11 Uhr geschlossen, aber mehr Leute kamen, so dass die Dame auf der Rezeption weiterhin serviert, während sie für das nächste Frühstück bereitet. Das Frühstück war gut, aber von einem Menü bestellt nicht ein Buffet-Stil. Alles wurde als eine gute Wahl für eine Wochenendereise nach Norwich betrachtet.

I had a wonderful stay at this first-rate small three-star hotel within a short walk of Norwich railway station where you can take the train to London and the rest of East Anglia or where you can access the local bus network with direct transfer to the city centre and the rest of Norwich. The welcome was friendly and efficient felt like a valued customer from the outset. The communal areas were well-maintained and nicely decorated. The room was marvellous, also well maintained and presented, the bed was extremely comfortable with great linen, duvet and pillows, the television was adequate and the Wi-Fi worked well. The en suite bathroom was superb with good water pressure to the shower and nice towels. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Great stay and hotel which I can highly recommend to all.

Room was ok, could have been cleaner. Staff were fantastic no complaints. Breakfast was an experience - multiple people in pyjamas, large group of people cleared everything from the cooked counter into lunch bags and containers so we waited a while for more food to be cooked. Environment around the hotel at night didn’t feel safe for me as a single woman with children. Lots of people hanging around the hotel doorway, strong smell of **** and some one used the lift as a urinal - we won’t stay again.

A little far of a walk from the clubs but not too bad. The desk man seemed a bit grumpy, whoever has good customer service. I called up several times with questions and they were always very nice over the phone. They have a 24hr front desk so, perfect for late check ins. However, early in the morning the cleaning crew tried to get in my room (but I had the top latch on, so they kept banging the door open and shut in attempts to take it off), and I had to get up to let them know I was still there. I was then told that in the system it said I had checked out an hour prior.

Location: The hotel is in a mixed residential/commercial area of Norwich, its quiet and feels safe. The hotel is a short walk from The Riverside for restaurants, bars, cinema, etc. and close to local pub etc. it is a short walk from the station. There is no onsite parting - the street parking has daytime restriction. Facilities: There is a card secured front door and reception desk which is not 24hr. There is an onsite Indian restaurant. I didn't use it but it looked good. There is also a bar. The hotel offers a number of guest services such as a luggage locker, laundry etc. The public areas of the hotel are clean, well maintained, etc. The room: I had room 2 on the gorund floor. This was clean, spacious, and well equipped. So pleased to have a proper wardrobe! There was a tray of stuff such as fruit juice and biscuits. There is a small room safe also. There is an en suite shower room which was modern, clean and worked great. The bed was firm and comfortable. The linen was fresh. I like the characterful decor Service: Everyone at the hotel was friendly, professional and helpful. I was prepaid booking so I didn't need to do a full check in/out. Everything seemed organised and efficient. My only gripe was that the people in the next room to me were noisy at 5am interupting my sleep and had the TV on very loud. Oh well, an earlier start than expected! Thats just bad luck I guess. I would recommend this hotel and I will stay here again next time I am in Norwich.
