Great place but agree they need more to do on the grounds. The yurts used to help but they discontinued them. They introduced a new living room but it’s kind of uncreative, the furniture seems second-hand and old in a not good way. Seems a bit tired for an otherwise gorgeous property. We stayed at the renaissance room and also felt like they could do beautiful ivy on the roof or something to mask the roof & machines. Such an expensive gorgeous property, but underutilized. Sun loungers really might help. I’d love to sip drinks and lay overlooking the cliff walk with a book, but that’s impossible to do in the wine garden which is a sitting social area, or the living room, which is frankly a boring, tired area. Like, how much would it cost for them to offer afternoon tea to each guest in one of the yurts? That would be such a cool idea and low investment, but guests would be thrilled. You expect this kind of extra care from a hotel this lovely. Rooms are great otherwise.
