Location was good and beach in front of it too. Hotel has that old feel, my biggest issues were the hotel keys kept deactivating and had to go to front desk to activate. The continental breakfast didn’t include eggs or bacon, sometimes there was some cheese and fruits and sometimes there were none

I was working in Boca and would have had to do a late night check-in. I called to let them know and they told me that if I did not check in in person by 5pm they had to give my room away. I pleaded with them to check me in over the phone and wanted to give them my credit card information to pay for it which they refused. Their reasoning was because I booked through a third-party site. They forced me to leave my work event that I flew into town for to drive two hours in traffic to check in in person where all they did was take my CC and ID. I was excited to stay at this hotel because it is in a great location and close to family I wanted to visit so I felt I had no other option. The manager had no sympathy for me and I did not feel like a welcomed guest because of this awful customer service situation. Secondly I did not have my room cleaned once in the 3 days I stayed there. Once I called on day two they informed me that I had to put the sign on my door which I did. Arrived late on my final night to my room the way that I had left it. So in the customer service department this place gets zero stars. The positives are great location, comfortable bed, pool and beach access are perfect. WiFi is 4/10 Continental breakfast looked terrible didn’t try. Clearly this hotel leans on the fact that it is in a historic part of Miami Beach. Would not stay again

They did not let us check in, after waiting in line for 30 mins at 11.30 pm with the reason that they were overbooked. We had confirmed booking and they were not honoring the reservation. This was a terrible experience with the property. I will not recommend this property.

Never got to stay there. Booked 2 rooms since September for my wife's 50th to find out they have no rooms available. This is after getting to the hotel at 11am and was told they had to clean the rooms so I needed to wait till 4pm. My family and I were playing pool and table tennis for 5hrs to find out they had no rooms. They issued me a refund but I had to scramble to find two rooms on a holiday weekend to my wife's birthday celebration. Absolutely the worst experience as they weren't honest with me from the beginning.... Heck I don't understand how you don't have rooms especially since I booked 3 months in advance. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Lights are not working. No microwave. I booked a king room with ocean view and now I got a room with no balcony view at all.Very very late checkin time. It took around 1 30 hours to check in

This was an interesting hotel while I loved the history and location the hotel is in serious disrepair. The room really smelled of musty mold the bathroom needed a deep clean. The staff were very nice but service was confusing. I wanted a bottle of water only beer in a refridge in the lobby. I was afraid to go out at night not sure of security. I wish I had read previous reviews prior to staying.

We enjoyed our stay here. We have never been to Miami so choosing a hotel out of the thousands on ******* was a chore. I went by Oceanfront and reviews. (And price of course, because I am just a nurse on a budget) As far as amenities, they have a nice little bar conveniently located right off the lobby. I ordered off the SPECIAL COCKTAIL menu they had out and it was fair. The bar manager was really nice and accommodating. Actually, every single staff member I encountered was accommodating! Everyone was so nice. They have a huge pool. With plenty of poolside lounge chairs. And right at the pool was the gate for the Beach. Very convenient. There is a small Liquor Store across the street, a Pizza Hut across the street, and a Walgreens about 2 blocks down. I would have to say the only thing I had a minor complaint about was they charged me a Resort Fee at checkin stating it was to cover the free included breakfast. Which is fine, I can understand that. However, they don’t tell you that the breakfast is just cold cereal, bagels, and yogurt. And if you want scrambled eggs or a hot meat, etc. that’s an up charge and you have to pay for that out-of-pocket. Which we did 1 morning and it was pretty good. The big burning question: would I stay here again? Yep!

Outdated and damaged. Bathroom light flickered like a scary movie. Carpet was disgusting - I wouldn't walk barefoot on it. Remote control was sticky even though I cleaned it myself several times. Breakfast room had mold on ceiling from water leak. Parking area was dirt/gravel and not safe. Was worried my tires would get a nail. Never again!

I like the property, once they finish the renovation it will be a nice place to stay. I like the inside restaurant and the bar and nice atmosphere. One issue i had was that someone else was in my room after i checked in.
