Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt im Marriott Batam, um unseren Hochzeitstag zu feiern, und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen! Vom ersten Moment unserer Ankunft an wurden wir vom Personal herzlich und gastfreundlich empfangen. Die Liebe zum Detail und die aufmerksamen Gesten machten unsere Feier zu etwas ganz Besonderem – darunter eine kostenlose Hochzeitstorte, die eine so süße Überraschung war! Das Hotel selbst ist atemberaubend. Wir haben es sehr genossen, in der Rooftop-Bar mit ihrer wunderschönen Aussicht zu entspannen, und der Pool war perfekt zum Abschalten. Auch das Frühstück war ein Highlight – so viele köstliche Optionen für jeden Geschmack. Jeder Mitarbeiter, dem wir begegneten, war freundlich, professionell und tat alles, um uns einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Solch einen hervorragenden Service findet man selten. Good for a short simple stay. But the noise-proof is very bad. You can hear youngsters talking loudly in their rooms past midnight even though you shut your doors. Food is standard. Quite a walk from the ferry terminal and a distance from eateries.

Hotel is still going through some upgrading at the back of the building. Which does not affect the guest at all. Was taken aback by the height and transparent lifts welcoming us. Very grand entrance indeed. However, the colour is out dated. Is it supposed to be underwater theme or inside a ship theme. But the most distinct feature that struck my nose was the air freshener. I really don't like it. Apart from that, room was spacious, clean & bed a little soft for my liking. Toilets big and clean. But I noticed at the under side of the toilet bowl is not cleaned properly. Bathing liquid is not enough for 3 of us. Would be better if wall mounted pumps used instead of small refillable travel bottles. Breakfast spread is substantial and tasty. With the affordable price. Will definitely come again.

The location is strategic. Near Grand Mall Batam, Nagoya Hill batam and of course batam centre. The check in was smooth and the lobby smells gooood. The room was spacious for 2 people and clean. The breakfast buffet options were superb as well. As a Malaysian, the kuew tiaw goreng was yummy. Thanks again for the great hospitality.

Very well kep, nicely designed and comfortable hotel. Most of my experience matched fully, what I would expect from an well known upscale hotel. However, my room didn't had any power outlets and no light switch in reach of my bed (I couldn't charge my phone and look at it while lying in bed) . The lights above the bed didn't seem to work (or I couldn't find the matching switch). These issues seemed to apply only for my room. Others in my group said their rooms didn't had these issues. They in return complained about noise (5am prayers opposite their window and noise from the neighouring room), while I found my room super quiet. Wifi is provided and easy to login, but with very mediocre bandwidth. Even whatsapp calls had quality issues. The processes might need a bit of ironing out (tongues instead of a ladle for soup, no spoons that fit into the yogurt shot glasses, rooms not ready for check-in by 3pm), but the staff was super friendly and could fix all issues quickly. It really wasn't a big issue at all. The breakfast buffet was good and had some very tasty items, notably the Tahu Kentong Sambal. It was generally a very nice and relaxing stay in a not crowded, luxurious hotel. If I could get a room with a power outlet and light switch next to my bed, I would rate it 5 stars and would book it again.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness. The toilet and bathtub did not appear to be properly cleaned and had an unpleasant smell. I also noticed some stains on the walls and bed sheets. I hope the management can improve the hygiene standards, as it greatly affects the overall guest experience.

I enjoyed the accessibility to Grand ESKA spa. The breakfast buffet was simple yet enjoyable and delicious. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Appreciated the front desk team for remembering us by face and asking how our day was daily. The hotel was refurbished. Even though old, the bed was good, firm and new and room was kept clean. The lift was rather dingy but it still got us up and down safely. Lastly, i personally enjoyed the quiet corners of the hotel. Loved the fact that our level was “child free” hence there werent kids shouting in rooms. I love children, but the hotel’s particular policy of no child in the room type we booked was pleasantly surprising. Will returned. Note: spa experience was on point too.
