Hotel San Lorenzo Thermal Spa

We think that the hotel is not bad, but not great either. First thing to note is the hotel’s location is quite far (20min) from main terminal, BUT has a bus stop right in front. Secondly, hotel is already very old, and guests mainly are older gentlemen and ladies. Pool facilities which were advertised as 38C were mostly 30-36 at best. The hot tub hard carried our stay. Since the island is quite expensive in general now, a visit to this place do give it some thought.

È necessaria una ristrutturazione! Un 4 stelle con arredi vecchi 30 anni, senza alcun isolamento acustico delle camere, e una organizzazione da anni 80. Le piscine esterne sono piacevoli....quelle interne no. Il personale della reception ( Camillo) e del bar ( Silvestro) meritano un plauso. Il personale di sala e le signore delle pulizie vanno bene per una pensione due stelle anni 80. Alle 8 del mattino comincia lo show delle cameriere che entrano in camera senza bussare, chiacchierano per ore svegliando tutti alle 8. L attenzione non è per il cliente...ma per come finire il proprio lavoro e andar via. A colazione alle 9 non volevano farmi sedere al tavolo vicino alla vetrata panoramica perché lo avevano già allestito per il pranzo.....alle 9!!!! Ti fan sentire tutt' altro che gradito ospite dell' hotel....non mi sorprende il declino inarrestabile di Ischia

Somewhere an Italian version of Readers Digest is promoting this hotel to older adults in Italy because it feels like a cross between a retirement community and Butlins. It predominantly caters for older Italians and singles. The photographs do not reflect reality, money has been spent on glitzy promotion rather than upkeep. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and were only permitted to sit on our alloted table in the inside breakfast room. The day we arrived the staff were distracted so we showed ourselves around. There were some particularly depressing pictures on the communal staircases. The room was a 'classic' despite paying a premium and we had no view or balcony-we were on the ground floor behind a hedge and the carpark. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and I'd sent a message in advance requesting a balcony. Everything in the room worked well and it was clean but old and in need of an upgrade. The facilities are run down. The spa facilities need attention and upkeep and there is equipment stored in the outside showers. On a positive note the gardens are well maintained and lovely and the hotel is 7 mins walk to Lacco Ameno down a steep flight of stairs. Lacco Ameno has a good range of restaurants and a lovely harbour for evening walks. There are bus stops outside the hotel to travel around the island. All journeys are €1.50. This is a buyer beware sort of place unless you are over 70, Italian and not that fussy.

Hotel curato , con belle camere , ben pulite e tenute ; alcune con una spettacolare vista su mare , molteplici piscine con acque termali e delle bellissime terrazze immerse nel verde . Personale tutto molto gentile e disponibile . Ottima prima colazione . Prezzo giusto in rapporto alla qualità della struttura e dei servizi offerti ! Consigliato!

Siamo appena tornati da 1 settimana di soggiorno in questo Hotel, la posizione è comodissima e molto suggestiva: dalle piscine e dal ristorante si ha un ottima vista sul Golfo di Napoli e su Procida. La spiaggia è a 400 metri ed è facilmente raggiungibile sia a piedi che con una comoda navetta così come il paese di Lacco Ameno. La cucina è ottima e i servizi pure. Le camere non sono insonorizzate: se avete vicini rumorosi sentirete tutto però sono molto pulite: la nostra era ampia e aveva una magnifica vista sul mare, ampio anche il bagno ma manca lo specchio ingranditore. Un piccolo balcone dava direttamente sulle piscine più piccole di cui abbiamo usufruito fin dalle 7 della mattina: una coccola splendida per iniziare bene la giornata. Alla Reception ci hanno indicato il modo migliore per visitare Procida e ci hanno suggerito un giro in barca attorno a Ischia: da non perdere! Il nostro giudizio sull'Hotel pertanto è molto buono, lo consigliamo vivamente!

This is a lovely hotel very close to Lacco Ameno, with a choice of thermal and sea water pools. The hotel also has a Spa. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, with an excellent GM, Camillo. Had a wonderful relaxing time.

Nice property. The 2 gentleman at the front desk were extremely helpful and nice. Getting us a scooter, a cab some late night pizza. Breakfast included was ok. Mostly breads and sweets, danishes, cheese and some meat slices. There is assigned seating which no one informed us about till we sat at the wrong table and had bees there for 10 minutes eating. Bed isn’t that comfortable and pillows. Showere has nice hot water. Tv but no Netflix. Very nice front porches with great views. Balconies with great views. 2 small outside hot pools. 1 big nice hot pool. 2 inside smaller hot pools. The waterfall pool was closed. The grounds are beautiful lush with plants and trees. Beautiful views all around.

Amazing property! The hotel was lovely and very convenient for spending time at Negombo. The staff was helpful and the room comfortable.
