Fantastisches Hotel in ruhiger Lage und herausragendem Service Ein wunderbares Hotel was etwas abgelegen vom Trubel an der östlichen Spitze der Maenam Bucht liegt. Wir hatten erst eine Garten Villa mit Meerblick, und später eine Ozean Suite. Beides waren sehr schöne Zimmer mit geräumigem Bad und Terrasse. Der sehr gepflegte Garten verblüfft mit viel Liebe zum Detail, und man erlebt die Natur hautnah. Die Ozean Suite hat einen fantastischen Blick auf die gesamte Bucht mit herrlichen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Frühstück war toll, direkt am Meer, oder sogar direkt am Strand. Die Auswahl ist gut, und trotz ausgebuchten Hotel kam es nie zu Stau-Situationen, fast immer haben wir unseren Lieblingsplatz bekommen. Die Anlage bietet viele schöne Möglichkeiten. So kann man zum Beispiel ein Kajak ohne Aufpreis mieten, und die Bucht erkunden. Besonders hat uns das Hotel Personal überzeugt, welches in einem besonderen Maße zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit war. Jedesmal wurde uns sofort geholfen, wenn es mal ein kleines Problem gab. Das war wirklich herausragend, um alles wurde sich sofort gekümmert. Der Manager Aof ist hierbei noch mal im Besonderen für seine Hilfsbereitschaft zu erwähnen. Was hier des Öfteren über den Strand geschrieben wird, war für uns kein Makel. Es ist zwar kein breiter Sandstrand, aber man kann hervorragend im Meer schwimmen gehen. Und anders als zum Beispiel in Chaweng, ist die Bucht angenehm windgeschützt. Alles zusammen war das Hotel war eine wirklich sehr gute Entscheidung. _________________ A wonderful hotel which is located a bit away from the hustle and bustle at the eastern tip of Mae Name Bay. We first had a garden villa with sea view, and later an ocean suite. Both were very nice rooms with spacious bathrooms and terraces. The very well maintained garden amazes with attention to detail, and you get to experience nature up close. The ocean suite has a fantastic view of the entire bay with gorgeous sunsets. Breakfast was great, right by the ocean, or even right on the beach. The selection is good, and despite the hotel being fully booked, there were never any congestion situations, we almost always got our favorite table. The resort offers many nice options. For example, you can rent a kayak at no extra charge, and explore the bay. We were especially impressed by the hotel staff, which was very accommodating and helpful. Every time there was a small problem, we were helped immediately. This was really outstanding, everything was taken care of immediately. The manager Aof is to be mentioned here again in particular for his helpfulness. What is often written here about the beach, was not a flaw for us. It is not a wide sandy beach, but you can swim in the sea very well. And unlike in Chaweng, for example, the bay is pleasantly sheltered from the wind. All together, the hotel was really a very good decision.

Ich tue mich mit dieser Bewertung recht schwer und habe lange überlegt. Wir haben uns kurzfristig entschieden noch eine Woche auf Koh Samui zu verbringen und uns für das Mantra entschieden, da wir die vorherigen Wochen in Strandhotels verbracht hatten und die Lage des Mantra spannend fanden. Das Team am Empfang ist sehr freundlich. Die Damen haben sich stets umgehend um all unsere Anliegen gekümmert. Restaurantreservierungen, die Rollervermietung, Taxies, Flughafentransfer und und und. Unser Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, mit Blick auf das Meer. Leider gibt es für zwei Erwachsene pro Tag nur 2 Liter Trinkwasser auf dem Zimmer - das fanden wir im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels recht mau. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls sauber - das Duschen ist am Anfang Übungssache, weil das Wasser nicht mit konstantem Druck oder Temperatur läuft. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber nichts großartiges. Die Säfte sind nicht frisch, leider nicht mal der allgegenwärtige Orangensaft. Die Backwaren sind auch eher Durschnitt. Die Erdnussbutter, als auch die Nutella stehen im offenen Originalglas auf dem Tresen und man muss sie sich mittels eines Spatels aus dem Glas angeln - Schälchen dafür sucht man vergebens, sodass man den Spatel dann umständlich am Tellerrand abstreifen muss. Ebenso bei den Marmeladen. Im Studentenwohnheim okay, aber nicht in einer fünf Sterne Anlage. Die Eierspeisen werden nach Bestellung frisch zubereitet und an den Tisch gebracht. Die Qualität schwank zwar, aber im Grunde hat es geschmeckt. Der Poolbereich ist sauber und aufgeräumt. Das Wasser ist allerdings sehr sehr kalt. Es gab zwar einige Mutige, aber die meisten sind, wie ich, nur bis zu den Knien im Wasser gewesen. Im Großen und Ganzen ist es ein nettes Hotel, aber wir haben eine andere Vorstellung von fünf Sternen. In Anbetracht des niedrigen Zimmerpreises, möchte ich nicht zu sehr auf Details rumreiten, aber das Mantra hat zwar den fünf Sterne Standart - aber Luxus wird man nicht finden.

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

Das Hotel ist fantastisch, es ist ein cooles, freundliches Party-Hostel mit Hotelzimmern. Die Zimmer sind sauber, das Personal ist freundlich und möchte, dass die Menschen zusammenkommen. Es werden Veranstaltungen wie Kneipentouren und gesellige Abende veranstaltet. Der Aufenthalt hat mir sehr gut gefallen, besonders nachdem wir in einem anderen Hotel (Chaweng Beach Resort) übernachtet haben, das schrecklich war und uns den Aufenthalt in Samui gerettet hat.

ALLE Mitarbeiter dieses Hotels haben sich zu jeder Zeit um die Gäste gekümmert. Beispiel Das Restaurant schließt um 21:30. Für den Getränkenachschub hat sich 2x in Nacht ein Angestellter auf sein Moped gesetzt und ist zum nächsten 7eleven gefahren. Zimmer ansprechend und sauber. Lage direkt am Strand

Großartig! Mir hat alles gefallen. Das Hotel liegt an einem ruhigen Ort; übrigens gibt es in dieser Gegend recht teure Hotels. Mit der Verkehrsanbindung hatten wir keine Probleme, da wir immer ein Fahrrad mieten; ein reiner Hotelurlaub ist nichts für uns. Das Hotel liegt auf zwei Seiten einer öffentlichen Straße und jede Seite verfügt über einen eigenen hervorragenden Swimmingpool. Der gesamte Komplex ist auf sehr abschüssigem Gelände gebaut und die Gäste werden aus Bequemlichkeitsgründen in Buggys transportiert. Unter der Straße befindet sich ein Tunnel, durch den Gäste mit Kinderwagen auf die andere Seite des Hotels gebracht werden. Wir wohnten in einem Zimmer mit Bergblick. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, sauber und wird täglich gereinigt. Das Personal ist freundlich. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Alles ist durchdacht und arrangiert, damit die Gäste eine tolle Zeit haben und entspannen können. Wir empfehlen einen Besuch.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 1 week, arrived from the Airport with no luggage as Bangkok airways lost it, checked in to the hotel and was met by a lovely member of staff who was waiting for me, she offered me a welcome drink on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long flight. After check in, was shown to my room which was a pool side deluxe room with Double bed and En-suite. Room was very clean, spacious and came with Fresh towels, Toiletries, a Mini fridge stocked with beers, satellite T.V, Aircon and some free drinks/snacks. My stay came with free breakfast every morning, which was very handy and the selection was always really nice. Lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs cooked to the way you wanted along with a choice of tea/coffee and fresh juices. Staff are soo friendly and welcoming, they clean your room everyday and provide fresh sheets and towels as well as toiletries. The Hotel is quite modern and staff had decorated the reception for Chinese New Year with lanterns and fairy lights. The position of the hotel is good, about 10 min drive in a taxi to Fisherman's village, which is full of bars/restaurants and shops. The hotel is also right on the beach, so you have the option to swim in the sea or the pool and look out onto the amazing views. I loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend! (Only negative thing I can think of is that the Pool Bar was never open, so it would be good to see this open in the future).

Wir waren 8 Tage im Celes Samui und hatten ein sogenanntes Patio Deluxe Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist groß, es gibt viel Stauraum und einen Minikühlschrank, der täglich kostenlos mit Softdrinks und Wasser wieder aufgefüllt wird. Es gibt eine open air Dusche und eine kleine „Terrasse“ vor der Tür. Das Hotel wurde aus zwei Hotelanlagen zusammen gelegt, wir waren im neueren Teil untergebracht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, der Empfangsbereich und das Hauptrestaurant (auch Frühstücksraum) sind äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das kleine Fitnessstudio ist mit modernen Geräten ausgerüstet und hat alles was man für ein sinnvolles (klimatisiertes) Workout braucht. Der Frühstücksbereich hat Innen- und Außenplätze. Die Außenplätze haben einen traumhaft schönen Ausblick, man sitzt sozusagen direkt am Meer. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen, von Thai bis Europäisch, es ist alles dabei und die Lebensmittel sind hochwertig! An der Poolbar gibt es tagsüber Getränke und kleine Snacks, die bezahlt werden müssen. Da wir viel auf der Insel unterwegs waren und gern „auf der Straße“ gegessen haben, können wir zu diesem Angebot nicht viel sagen. Was man allerdings negativ erwähnen muss, der Poolbereich hat viel zu wenig Liegen. Ab spätestens 7 Uhr morgens sind alle Liegen mit Handtüchern „reserviert“ :( Am Strand gibt es überhaupt keine Liegen, was sehr schade ist, denn angrenzende Anlagen haben Liegen am Strand. Der Strand ist nicht so feinsandig wie in Chaweng Beach, aber dafür auch nicht so voll. Handtücher für Pool oder Strand bekommt man täglich neu aufs Zimmer. Das Hotel befindet sich an der vielbefahrenen Ringstraße, aber keine Angst, sobald man das Hotel betreten hat hört man davon nichts mehr! Es gibt fußläufig mehrere Restaurants und Supermärkte. Fisherman‘s Village mit seinem Nachtmarkt, vielen Geschäften und Bars ist in 10 Min. zu Fuß erreichbar. Das komplette Personal im Hotel ist zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.
