Alexander's Gay Lesbian Guesthouse (Adult Only 21+)

I booked a room at this property last minute as everything else in Key West was sold out. This is a beautiful bed and breakfast style property. The property is decorated with love and great detail. The smell is wonderful throughout. Everything felt high end. The placement of every item in the home appeared to be meticulously thought out. I was accommodated in a large suite in the main house. My room was like a small apar**ent which included a walk-in closet, sitting area, kitchenette, and updated bathroom. There was ample storage throughout. Loved the many windows and the light filled room. The staff at this hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my visit to Key West memorable. When booking your accommodations, carefully take your priorities into consideration. This is a very small and intimate property. I wish that there were more amenities on site such as a fitness center and a cafe/restaurant. The intimate environment and limited hotel amenities was not something that I prepared myself for. For other guests, this may be the perfect setting for a tranquil getaway.

The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and has the friendliest and most helpful staff you will ever meet. We loved the breakfasts each morning, welcome cocktails and infused water, as well as the snacks and drinks every day at happy hour. Thank you all for an amazing and unforgettable vacation! We will be back! ❤️

Been going here for 14 years. Outstanding staff - especially helpful front desk/concierge service, and housekeeping, breakfast and bartenders - all terrific. Always super clean, comfortable beds, good vibe, nice poolside. Not too big. Location is excellent in old town - quiet but walkable to water, Duval st etc. nice solid breakfast, always something hot like a strata or omelet, French toast etc.

We had an amazing stay at this open-minded and friendly guesthouse in Key West. The staff and managers all make a tremendous effort to make every guest feel special. We enjoyed our time with fellow guests, and the place is good for couples as well as individual travelers. The rooms are delicate, the breakfast amazing and nothing can beat the hospitality. We are not in doubt where to stay on our next visit to Key West.

Always a lovely time at Alexander's. We've been regulars for over 20 years. The staff is the best, the crowd is friendly, breakfast is warm and inviting, and the rooms are comfy. It is clearly the best inn of its type on the island. You won't go wrong with it.

We have been staying at Alexander’s 17 years!! The staff treats us like Family! The place is always immaculate and the rooms are top quality!! We Love Laura, Tim, Robyn, Michael and Roman!! The Breakfast, bar and cleaning staff go out of their way to make the stay the perfect paradise!!

Wonderful staff, great follow guests, amazing a**osphere and a lovely breakfast. If you struggle with mobility, I would avoid the higher rooms. Those same rooms don’t have a full enclosed bathroom either so be sure you’re happy with that.

Fabulous as always! Wonderful breakfasts, scrupulously clean, comfortable, well appointed room, and a caring and attentive staff! A longer walk from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, but that makes it quieter and it’s easy to rent bikes from Alexander’s and bike around. We will be back!! Thank you for everything!

We've stayed at Alexander's probably 25-30 times in the last 10 years, but I think this was the first time we've stayed in December. We usually stay in room #10, but this time treated ourselves to #16. Needless to say not only was the Guest House decorated for Old St. Nick, but the entire town was as well. All the staff members had that extra Chris**as spirit on top of their natural charm and attentiveness. How much charm and how attentive...let me tell you...We got there on a Tuesday around 11:30, just missing the breakfast which stopped at 11:00am., and were staying until Saturday. There are usually some nice muffins and breads left over from breakfast that they will leave out for the guest to finish off throughout the day. I know from experience that every Sunday morning they serve made to order omelets of your choice. I said to Paula, the lady who usually runs the breakfast, that the only thing I was sorry about was that we wouldn't be there for her omelets on Sunday. She immediately said, without any hesitation, "would you like for me to make you an omelet now. It's no problem." I immediately said yes and a couple of minutes later had a delicious ham and cheese homemade omelet most courteously made by Paula. Do you think you'd get that kind of thoughtfulness from any other guest house? Of course not. It's the trea**ent like this for their guest that will always make Alexander's Guest House the finest guest house on the island of Key West. Hat's off to every single worker at Alexanders, but you know it always starts at the top. That would be Raul and Orlando, the owners and Laura the longtime General Manager.
