This hotel was probably great 20 years ago. Now it is an exercise in frustration. Here’s a few examples of why: 1) The basic facilities are not reliable. In the first 3 nights of staying there, I had one boiling hot shower (no cold water) and two freezing cold showers (no hot water) 2) The wifi drops out all the time and you get a 1-2MB bandwidth which is a struggle if you’re doing video calls 3) The additional amenities like gym, pool, sauna etc are a mess. The jacuzzi and sauna have been abandoned from what I could tell. The gym has no air conditioning so once I was doing any exercise I was just pouring with sweat. It must be over 30 degrees in there 4) The service level is way off. I spent 25 minutes trying to buy a coffee from the coffee bar on ground floor. Four times I asked for someone to come and help. 3 times nothing, 4th time someone came, rattled around, and walked off again 5) The food is so poor. How you get basics like burgers and salads wrong is a mystery to me 6) There has been no investment in the place and, consequently, it is just tired. Dents, scratches, tattered flooring everywhere. Its honestly a bit sad to see This is from the Meridien chain, a well renowned brand. I am amazed that they are trusting a local operator to run a facility this poorly in their name. I booked the hotel basically because I assumed it must be OK because it was a Meridien but, honestly, the place is dreadful.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ziemlich anständigen Lage mit Restaurants und einem Supermarkt in der Nähe. Wie die meisten Orte in Jeddah müssen Sie zu ihnen fahren, so alles über einen Block entfernt und Sie werden einen Uber benötigen. Die Zimmer waren schön, die Dusche in unserem Zimmer war für eine Weile nicht verwendet worden, so dass es bei der ersten Verwendung spuckte, aber das Duschegel war schön. Leider hat das Reinigungspersonal nicht nach der ersten Nacht die Dinge wie Tee oder Cremer vollendet, was ich nicht zu haben meine Morgen-Cuppa, welche für ein 5* Hotel Sie erwartet hätten, ohne zu fragen.

Persönlich finde ich den Gesamteindruck gut, und es gibt ein anderes Hotel gegenüber. Wie auch immer, überall, wo Saudi-Arabien hingeht, gibt es entweder ein Auto oder ein Taxi, und die Lage ist nicht wichtig.

Where do I start!! The service at this hotel is first class! The moment I checked in until the check out was given with the best hospitality I have had. My first time vising Saudi Arabia and we were a very large family group of 14 people, the way the staff had helped arrange our rooms, the help generally and friendliness was the best. A special thanks to Ayman and his colleague Mahmoud they were great! We are thankful to the staff and are extremely pleased we chose this hotel, definitely will be back InshAllah!

Alles war gut, das Personal sehr wettbewerbsfähig und polit, das Zimmer sehr geräumig und sauber (außer Fenster, die Ursache des Wüstenregens) Frühstück ok ....Das einzige negative ist die Lage, da das Hotel auf einer besetzten Kreuzung der Hauptstraßen ist und das GPS hatte eine harte Zeit zu Leitet mich zum Hotel, sonst und im Allgemeinen geben ich es 4 Sterne ...
