historisches Hotel mit besonderem Flair, saubere und großzügige Zimmer sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal leckeres Frühstück mit toller Speisekarte gutes Abendessen in rustikalem Pub zentral gelegen, schnell erreichbar vom Flughafen

Unsere letzte Nacht auf IOM sollte in der Nähe des Flughafens sein und so kamen wir auf dieses Hotel. Auch hier wurden wir gleich freundlich empfangen und auf unser Zimmer begleitet. Da die IOM Frühstückzeiten sich nicht mit unseren Flugzeiten deckten, wurde uns sogar ein vereinfachtes Frühaufsteher Frühstück angeboten. Super. So konnten wir doch noch gestärkt die Heimreise antreten. Auch das integrierte Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir genossen hier am letzten Abend noch einen Burger mit Pommes. Das Städtchen selber lässt sich auch sehen und so war es ein gelungener Abschluss unser 14 Tage Urlaub.

We stayed for 3 nights in May this year. Lovely hotel with 11 rooms. We got a castle view room and it was fantastic and reasonably priced. All of the staff were nice and friendly. We got off to a great start each morning with a lovely full breakfast (guests only). We had three, day meals at their pub restaurant, all were great. Very comfortable place and definitely the main dining and accommodation attraction in Castletown.

Just returned from 4 nights at The George where we enjoyed really good accommodation and food. Room was well appointed, clean and warm, and well stocked with towels and all the stuff one might need. Meals were excellent with a very extensive breakfast menu. Staff were pleasant and obliging, and the whole a**osphere was friendly and relaxing. We'll definitely return to The George.

Our stay was quite pleasant. We enjoyed the friendly service and a**osphere from the staff. Always willing to ensure our comfort. Plenty of breakfast offered to our satisfaction. The bathroom was well stocked. Clean, big, white towels. Pretty quite after the bar closes. Able to get some wonderful sleep. In a quiet town, so close to the airport, with wonderful sites nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

The overall effect experience was underwhelming however I raised this with the manageress and I couldn’t have been happier with the resolution she provided. The staff are exceptional and I would recommend a stay here to any / all my friends

Loved our stay at The George and wish it was for longer! We thought the decor was lovely, we found the beds and rooms very comfortable, and the view of the castle was amazing. Our food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and they catered well with our allergy to treenuts. There was live music the night we stayed which could be heard in our room, but that was nice! Castletown is a great town and we enjoyed walking around the harbour and castle area. The bus service is excellent and easily travelled to Port Erin, Douglas and Laxey. We would definitely like to return to the Isle of Man and would stay again at The George. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The Food.. we had a BBQ burger and chips, a fish and chips and a lamb bap with sweet potato fries.. all of the food was super fresh, inventive, beautifully cooked, well presented and flavoursome. Best food all round ever. Really impressive and great food. Excellent value for money.

Very much enjoyed our recent stay at The George. Us three walkers were delighted with the triple room we were provided with, having a lovely bay window overlooking the castle and even a balcony ! Khushi was excellent and she looked after us really well at breakfast which was freshly cooked for us. Highly recommended.
