We loved our bungalow, as it was well-designed, had a functional kitchen, and many useful gadgets like an iron, a hair dryer, or umbrella for sunny weather. The shared area had a lovely vibe and was perfect for recharging mentally with all the greenery, pool sounds, and chirping birds. We could even squeeze some physical activities into our routine, as the place had a dedicated space for yoga with mats, small dumbbells, and resistance bands. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves, although the presence of the security guard was comforting. Our host was friendly and helpful, answering our questions on WhatsApp or providing tips on hustle-free navigation in the Tulum jungles.

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel calls itself a 5-star property. My whole experience here was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. Service is absolutely terrible. Nobody helps you with anything, reception doesn’t care, and every time you call the front desk or concierge, nobody answers the phone. Zero hospitality. Food was honestly disgusting. Nothing fresh, no flavor, very low quality. Drinks taste like water — literally no alcohol. Even the cups and glasses in restaurants were dirty. It feels completely unacceptable for a resort that is supposed to be luxury. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the membership “presentation” scam. They invited us to a “lunch to learn about the brand,” but in reality, it turned into a pushy timeshare-style sales pitch. None of this was explained honestly beforehand. When we complained, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, as if this is normal. On top of that, I forgot my dress in the room. They admitted they found it, but for two days they ignored me, didn’t contact me back, and didn’t send it. I kept calling and messaging, and still no response. This shows how bad the communication and customer care truly is. After during checkout they asked us to sign the paper that we have no problem with the hotel and requested we write a good review about them. Ridiculous. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, not even close to 5-star standards, and definitely not the luxury experience they advertise. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, honest, and professionally managed resort.

Die Familie von vier (einschließlich 2 Teenager) blieb in Zimmer 3307 für eine Woche im Conrad. Wir hatten einen Meerblick, 2 Queen Zimmer und haben für den Ceiba Club gewählt. Das Zimmer war eines der besseren Größen und layout Zimmer, die wir auf dem Urlaub genossen haben. Die Einrichtungen waren fantastisch und wir genossen die Aktivitäten, die wir hier in unserer Zeit angeboten haben. Der Fitnessraum war nie beschäftigt und die täglichen Aktivitäten, die wir für zugänglich erachtet haben. Die Vorderseite bot sehr gute Schnorcheln mit mehreren großen Reifen, die viele Schulen von interessanten Fischen halten. Wir sahen auch dort Strahlen verschiedener Größen, die spannend war. Beachsitze waren immer verfügbar, was eine Überraschung war, da wir lesen, dass es problematisch sein könnte. Das Restaurant Ceiba hat sich in den ersten Tagen nicht betätigt, so dass Ceiba das Restaurant mit der La carte-Nahrung anbietet. Wir haben auch den Status von Hilton Gold genossen, so dass wir zwei unserer Familie durch das wunderbare Frühstücksbuffet in Arbolea wechseln konnten. Wir hatten Abendessen in Marakea (Mittelmeer) und Autor (Michelin Mexiko Restaurant). Beide waren gut, aber Autor stand aus. Würde sicher zurückkehren.

The hotel is pretty and clean, I can tell it’s newly opened. But the staffs definitely needed more training. The pool is pretty small, you can’t really swim in there. The jacuzzi was out of service, they don’t provide towel at the pool, even if you asked, they said they were going to get it but they never came back. Service is poor I would say.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel. Had a lovely large and clean room. Swimming pool is gorgeous but could use a few scoops to remove the fallen leaves. Staff shined bright by their absence, breakfast at 8.00 didn't happen but much later... Beach club offer is not really free, and needs a self paid taxi service. I ended up going to the beach on own regards. The seaweed was huge, so all this together made me relocate to other places. Non refundable hotel so be aware!

We were very satisfied with our family stay at Holiday Inn Tulum. The pool-view room was a good base for our three nights in Tulum, and the hotel had the facilities our group needed during the trip. The stay fit our itinerary well and was a comfortable place to return to after exploring the area. Overall, a positive experience for a family visit to Tulum.

Wir hatten insgesamt eine wundervolle Erfahrung für unsere 7 Tage im Hotelito Azul! Wir waren mit einem anderen Paar zusammen und jeder übernachtete in den Oceanfront Suites (wir waren über ihnen, sie waren ebenerdig). Die Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig. Etwas begrenzter Stauraum für Kleidung, aber wir haben das Beste aus der bereitgestellten Regal- / Hängeeinheit gemacht. Die Dusche ist ein Traum. Das Zimmermädchen hat unser Zimmer täglich gereinigt und hat einen wunderbaren Job gemacht! Wir liebten die Leckereien, die jeden Tag auf unseren Kissen hinterlassen wurden. AC war Ihr zu kontrollieren. Eine Herausforderung, mit der wir konfrontiert waren und die sich einfach beheben ließe, war das Fehlen von Teppichen im Zimmer. Sie gehen durch Sand, um in Ihr Zimmer zu gelangen, und ja, es gibt einen Eimer mit Wasser, den Sie vor dem Betreten ausspülen müssen im Bett. Interessanterweise hatten unsere Freunde unten einen tollen Läufer am Fußende ihres Bettes, also würde vielleicht nur die Übereinstimmung damit einen großen Unterschied machen! Sie wachen jeden Morgen mit einem süßen Korb mit Kaffee auf und sie werden Ihr Trinkwasser so viel auffüllen, wie Sie es im Zimmer benötigen. Wir können nicht genug Gutes über das Personal sagen. Sie kommunizieren mit ihnen über WhatsApp, das schnelle Antworten auf Fragen oder Bedenken oder bei der Bestellung von Speisen/Getränken bietet. Larissa, der Concierge war WUNDERBAR. Sie begrüßte uns jeden Tag und sorgte dafür, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten und während unseres Aufenthalts umsorgt wurden. Sie half dabei, die Reise mit wunderbaren Erlebnissen zu füllen, sei es Touren, großartige lokale Orte für Essen / Trinken oder Logistik. Wir haben die meisten unserer Urlaubstage Roller vom Hotel gemietet und es hat sich gelohnt. Wir fanden die Preise auf der anderen Straßenseite günstiger, aber wir mochten die Bequemlichkeit, über das Hotel zu mieten. Das Essen und Trinken im Hotel ist allesamt lecker, obwohl wir schnell gelernt haben, dass Essen und Trinken am Strand teuer wird, haben wir also mit Bedacht gewählt, wann / wie viel wir im Hotel gegessen haben. Dies kommt nur mit dem Standort. Die physische Lage des Hotels ist ideal, da es nicht zu weit unten in den Strandstreifen ist, der mit der Weiterfahrt ziemlich schlimm wurde. Die Ästhetik und die Details des Hotels sind perfekt, um sich wie zu Hause zu fühlen in einem skurrilen Dschungel. Zu Ihrer Information an alle, die von April bis November in Tulum am Strand bleiben möchten, Tulum bekommt eine riesige Menge an Algen, die es fast unmöglich macht, im Meer zu schwimmen. Die Hotels, darunter das Hotelito Azul, tun ihr Bestes, um so viel Algen wie möglich vom Strand zu entfernen, aber Mann, das ist ein harter Kampf. Dies schränkte leider unsere Möglichkeiten ein, am Strand zu sitzen, denn die einzige Erleichterung von der Hitze war die Außendusche. Was wiederum schön ist, aber nicht das Meer. Glücklicherweise hat Tulum so viele andere wundervolle Dinge zu tun, dass wir das Gefühl hatten, dass dies unsere Reise nicht wesentlich beeinflusst hat. Diejenigen, die in den besseren Monaten reisen, können sich im Hotelito Azul auf einen schönen Strandbereich freuen. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel geliebt und freuen uns darauf, in Zukunft wiederzukommen! Danke euch allen!

I stayed at Azulik Tulum in one of the smallest rooms, and I have mixed feelings — both admiration and realism. First, let’s be honest: Azulik is visually stunning. Architecturally, it’s a dream — truly built for aesthetics and Instagram. The design is beautiful, organic. From a visual and conceptual point of view, it’s easily 100/100. However, when it comes to comfort and practicality, it’s a very different story. Azulik is a pure jungle experience. That can be magical, but it also means: Very limited privacy A toilet behind a divider No hot water at night Minimal comfort overall I understand this is intentional and part of the concept, but when rooms can cost up to $2,000 per night, you naturally expect a balance between artistic experience and luxury comfort — especially at that price point.  The room itself was cute, but definitely not designed for longer stays. This is not a place you want to stay more than 1–2 nights max. After that, the lack of comfort becomes noticeable. Service was not good. I understand this is Mexico and things move differently, but for a hotel with such an international reputation, staff speaking English should be standard, especially since most guests are travelers from the other countries. The beach service closes early (around 4–5 PM), so the experience feels very limited. A few small but important details: The matches in the room were extremely horrible to light, which becomes frustrating when candles are the main source of light, and I love candles idea but if you are reader this hotel not for you! Cleaning could be better.  Hot water should really be available 24/7 at this level. Overall, Azulik is an artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual concept, not a comfort-driven luxury hotel. If you come knowing that — and stay one or two nights only — it can be a beautiful experience. I think its important to remind guest on checking in what are they signing for, coz people don't like to read descriptions and coming for views then being disappointed. Come for the vibe, architecture, and photos. Don’t come expecting classic luxury or comfort. Beautiful idea, powerful concept — but it could truly shine even more with better service, basic comfort, and attention to detail. And I`m not asking a lot here.

I started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you. My rating does not include the quality of food...
