Das Zimmer ist recht plüschig, das Badezimmer winzig, Die Fenster blättern ab, was nicht jeder als romantisch empfindet. Die Portraits vieler berühmter Menschen hängen in den Fluren, was dem Ganzen ebenso wie die Lobby und die Flure den Flair eines Museums verleiht. Einen Blick aufs Meer kann man erhaschen, wenn man über die Parkplätze und die nicht so historischen Bauten schaut. Die WLAN Verbindung ist miserabel. Man kann nur mit Mobil Verbindung und Hotspot arbeiten. Das Frühstück ist “complimentary”, besteht aber aus Pappbecher, verpacktem Plastikbesteck (tiefgekühlten Butter damit zu streichen, kommt einer echten Herausforderung gleich), Kaffe aus der Thermoskanne, Joghurt, Butter, hart gekochten Eiern aus dem Kühlschrank und zähen Croissants. Das ganze kann man in einem Raum verspeisen, der eher an einen gediegen möblierten Gemeinschaftsraum eines Campingplatzes erinnert, als an ein Hotel für 200$ die Nacht. Der Zimmerservice (Handtücher, Reinigung etc) kommt nur auf Wunsch zum Einsat, was bei Verzicht aber zu keiner Preisreduktion führt.

Wir blieben vor Jahren hier. Wir kamen auf eine Halbzeitvermietung an, unser erstes Hotelverweilen seit COVID-19 zu einem Hauswort. Als ich eincheckte, hatten wir eine Diskussion über das Zimmer, da mein Mann lieber Bars nehmen, wo er duschen. Der Kellner, der ein neues Mitarbeiter trainierte, schlug vor, ich zuerst auf das Zimmer zu schauen. Ich habe keine Bars zu halten. Der Kellner wechselte das Zimmer für ein zugängliches Zimmer, das für uns funktionieren würde. Das Zimmer war sehr gut gepflegt mit sogar genügend Raum für einen Rollstuhl, um leicht zu kommen. Ich mochte den versehentlichen Stuhl und Hassock nicht, aber wir waren für zwei Nächte komfortabel, Sie konnten ihren Pool öffnen, da COVID-19 Einschränkungen ein wenig erleichtert hatten. Sie konnten noch nicht Frühstück servieren, aber sie gab Frühstücksbeutel mit einer Pasta und einem Frühstücksburrito in ihnen. Ich dachte, dies war eine kluge Möglichkeit, ihre Gäste zumindest ein wenig Perk am Morgen zu sehen. Wir sprachen mit dem Personal draußen - sie hatten ihre Maske auf wie wir. Willkommen Platz und gut laufen.

Mit Motel 6 in Amerika wissen Sie im Voraus genau, was Sie erhalten werden, und der in Eureka sicherlich liefert das, was auf dem Etikett. Preise waren ziemlich vernünftig und der Platz befindet sich direkt auf der 101 Autobahn. Die Zimmer sind genau wie Sie erwartet und alles war sauber und das Bett war sehr komfortabel. Es gab eine Badezimmer- und Duschekombination und das Wasser war schön und heiß. Es gab viele saubere Handtücher. Das Hotel 6 ist eine 3-Sterne-Hotelkette und diese Lage bietet einen 5-Sterne-Service in dieser Klasse.

sehr gut! Das Zimmer ist groß, das Bett ist bequem und die Lage ist praktisch. Als ich eine Reservierung machte, stellte ich fest, dass die Bewertung nur 3,8 betrug. Ich sah jemanden, der sagte: ”So ein gutes Hotel, ich verstehe nicht, warum die Punktzahl nicht hoch ist”, also beschloss ich, es für eine Nacht auszuprobieren. Nach dem Einzug möchte ich auch diesen Satz wiederholen.

There aren't that many hotel options in the Eureka area and the Holiday Inn stands out as the best. A fairly new build, it's a very modern, comfortable hotel, offering everything you'd expect from the Holiday Inn brand, but it knows it's the best you can get and thus it charges way over the odds. The property sits in a very non descript part of the town, away from Old Town and nowhere near any of the beaches or places of interest. It's surrounded by, er, nothing. There's just one access point to the compound, to the right side of the property. You cannot enter from either the left or the front. There's ample parking available. Security is good and you need your key to enter the property. The lobby and communal areas are very modern, well designed and very comfortable. There's a small indoor pool and a work out room, both of which are well maintained. Rooms are pretty large, with very large bathrooms. Some of the rooms are suites. There's no sitting area in the basic rooms, but there is a desk and desk chair. Wifi is free and reliable, but not the top speed. Rooms come with a fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board. There's good closet space. Heating works well and the beds are comfortable with clean, fresh linens. However, currently (February 2022) there is no maid service unless requested. Even when you put in a request, they don't service the room. So the trash isn't emptied and the beds never made. Bathrooms are very large and come with a shower/tub combo. The water pressure in the shower and basin are good. There are the usual HIE amenities in containers locked to the wall, but with no house keeping, when they run out, you have to request refills. Breakfast is included and is the standard HIE fare, but there is some minor variation from day to day, which is appreciated. One day, there was no fresh fruit, but this was unique. Most days there are bananas and oranges. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby. The price is way over what this property is worth. I've stayed in many HIE properties in far more popular, dynamic locations and paid 1/3 to 1/2 less than this hotel is charging. Perhaps it's the pool. Regardless, although it's high standard and a good experience generally, I'm not sure it's worth the rate for what you get. As there are so few options in Eureka, the HIE knows they've got a captive audience and thus charges accordingly.

I had the most amazing and Ascendant time at the super 8 In eureka... It was the most humbling experience in my entire life.... The gods themselves could not be given such wonderful pleasure That has been bestowed upon me since staying at this wonderful super 8.. Matt was extremely helpful in fact They may have been the most helpful front desk Worker. I have ever seen in my life. No! That's a lie, they were the most helpful person I have ever seen in my life! It was like watching a master In their craft to be unbeaten and Bestowed upon By angels on high the artistic Seemingly impossible, Craft of customer service. Matt was the most Carismatic And Thoughtful Nightstaff I had ever seen. Truly too good for this world. If anyone has ever had the pleasure of staying at this hotel just know That this is no ordinary super 8. It may seem like it on the surface but the staff gives more than a 110%. And I don't think they would be able to pull it together without matt behind the helm. Doing the real underappreciated work of the little man...
